It's absolutely stunning the lengths to which Islam is now prepared to go not only to destroy Israel but also to attempt to destroy us infidels of the Great Satan.  Unfortuanately they've now the Eurabian's firmly under the sole of their sandals.  

As part of the Euro's feeble attempt to halt Iran's nuclear ambitions they're offering, among other Iranian demands, to provide trade and economic aid agreements. Last week, Alhurra — an Arabic-language television station that is funded by our government — broadcast a taped interview with a terrorist named Moayad Ahmed Yasseen, the leader of Jaish Muhammad (Muhammad's Army). He was captured nearly two months ago in Fallujah during the liberation of the city.
Yasseen had been a colonel in Saddam's Army, so he was a fighter of some importance. He told Alhurra that two other former Iraqi military officers belonging to his group were sent "to Iran in April or May, where they met a number of Iranian intelligence officials." He said they also met with Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and were provided with money, weapons, "and, as far as I know, even car bombs" for Jaish Muhammad.
Yasseen also said he was told by Saddam himself, after the liberation of Iraq in the spring of 2003, to cross into Syria and meet with a Syrian intelligence officer to ask for money and weapons.
So here we have a high-ranking member of the "insurgency," a textbook case of the sort of Saddam loyalist said to compose the bulk of those fighting against the Coalition. And what does he tell us? He tells us that he has been working closely with Iran and Syria, and that this close working relationship was directed by Saddam. Moreover, his organization, Jaish Muhammad, is an ally of Abu Musab al Zarqawi, himself a longtime resident of Tehran.
In other words, while there are certainly plenty of Saddam loyalists among the terrorists fighting against us, they are receiving support from Damascus and Tehran. Yasseen's testimony is one of the first bits of intelligence from the Fallujah campaign to reach the public. If we had truly investigative journalists out there, they would be all over this story, which is only one of many that came out of Fallujah. About a month ago, a letter from an Army officer who had fought in Fallujah circulated on the net, and, like Yasseen's tape, it helps dispel some of the myths clouding our strategic vision.
"In Fallujah," we learn, "the enemy had a military-type planning system...Some of the fighters were wearing body armor and Kevlar, just like we do. Soldiers took fire from heavy machine guns (.50 cal) and came across the dead bodies of fighters from Chechnya, Syria, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Afghanistan, and so on. No, this was not just a city of pi**ed off Iraqis, mad at the Coalition for forcing Saddam out of power. It was a city full of people from all over the Middle East whose sole mission in life was to kill Americans. Problem for them is that they were in the wrong city in November 2004."
We killed more than a thousand terrorists in Fallujah, and nearly an equal number surrendered, many of whom provided our military with useful information. Presumably Yasseen's information has been exploited before letting the Syrians and Iranians know that he has told us all about them.
Perhaps these revelations will help outgoing Secretary of State Colin Powell get on the right side of history before he rejoins civil society. Last September, in an interview with the Washington Times, he said "I don't think there's any doubt that the Iranians are involved and are providing support (for the terrorists in Iraq). How much and how influential their support is, I can't be sure and it's hard to get a good read on it."
Perhaps now he's got a better read. But of course, he chose not to know many things about Iran. He insisted that the Bush administration shut down a channel to a source of information about Iran, even though he knew that the source was reliable, and that information from that source — information concerning Iranian support for anti-American terrorists — had saved American lives in Afghanistan. Had the flow of information continued, we might have had a better picture of our enemies' intentions and capacities. And such a picture might have convinced Powell that Iran was not, as his deputy Richard Armitage put it, "a democracy," but a bloodthirsty tyranny that delights in killing Americans, Iraqis, and its own citizens.
Yet, in his final weeks in office, Secretary Powell has unfortunately continued to chant his mantra, "we are not working for regime change in Iran," as if he were proud of it. He, and his colleagues at State, the National Security Council, the Pentagon, and the CIA, should be ashamed. The mullahs are active supporters of terrorism all over the world, including Iraq, and we cannot expect to win this war so long as they remain in power.
Let's hope that Dr. Rice is paying close attention to the Yasseen confession, and the many others that will help her realize that there is no escape from the regional war in which we are engaged.

Jerusalem is not a Moslem holy place.
Mecca is the Moslem holy place.
Maybe Jerusalem is the hypothetical capital of the hypothetical Palestine.

Mecca would be the more appropriate Moslem capital, but that just makes it very hard to hate the Jews, much easier to hate the in their Holy City that means something to them.

Peaceful Christians?

Compared with what was written and said by some of the most prominent Christian reformers of the past, such as Martin Luther of Germany, Pope Urbana II, Francis Voltaire of France, Queen Isabella of Spain or Queen Victoria of Colonial Britain, Charles Moore’s December 12 article in the London Daily Telegraph is a very mild attack on Islam.

There is nothing new in his assertion that Islam is a barbaric faith that denies the freedom of all people, including its own adherents. There are no surprises in his attack on Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a pedophile, or on Islam as anti-Christian faith. What is new is the article’s timing and its belligerent tone.

His message echoes what many Christian scholars of the past have said: Christianity will be secured only when Islam is completely annihilated or defeated or changed to suit the interests of European Christian elites.

The intention is clear. They wish to create an enemy out of Islam and let the people engage in street fights to the point that Muslims decide to relinquish their citizenship of America and Christian European countries, and force those who intend to convert to Islam to think twice.

Muslim scholars have written volumes on issues raised by Charles Moore. His ignorance is evident, judging by his reliance on stories that have long been identified as unauthentic. For instance, the issue of `Aisha's marriage to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) at the age of nine has been dealt with at length by several past and contemporary scholars, with the conclusion that the story cannot be accepted as fact.

The issue of dhimmis has also been extensively dealt with in several scholarly Muslim works that have proven that “dhimmi” was not a derogatory term, but rather an institution to protect Christian and Jewish minorities.

It is ironic that Moore is attacking Islam for being intolerant of other religions while ignoring the entire history of the persecution of Christians and Jews at each other’s hands. Christian Hitler's persecution of Jews in Germany is not by any means a secret. Interestingly, many Christian scholars now deny that Hitler was Christian, despite his numerous statements showing his full faith in Christ as "son of God" and the Messiah.

As for the religious persecution of Christians in the Muslim world, Charles Moore has to look no further than the history of 20th century Europe and modern Latin America. More Christians are being killed in Latin America by intolerant Christian groups than anywhere in the Muslim world. Under dictatorial right-wing regimes supported by the United States and several European countries, hundreds and thousands of Christians were killed in Latin America because of their beliefs.

South Africa offers a very recent example of institutionalized persecution among Christians, with white Christians persecuting black Christians.

This does not mean that there are no problems between Christians and Muslims in the Muslim world. However, it is the repression and general lack of freedom in most countries, rather than an intolerance towards other faiths, that is responsible for the situation, as both Muslims and non-Muslims are denied their rights to freely express themselves.

Obviously, Moore’s article is part of a long-term strategy for those who actively seek to see our world divided by war, to create hatred against Muslims and an Islam portrayed as the “anti-Christ.” In so doing, they hope to reawaken the anti-Muslim passion of the Crusades. This time, however, the zealots do not have to journey to Jerusalem to rid the world of the anti-Christ, because Muslims and Islam now live in the midst of their own societies.

It was a strategy that many Christian zealots applied in the past to rid their societies of Jews. It is a strategy that some want to use for much the same purpose, albeit against Muslims.

However, within Christian scholarship, there is a growing trend that seeks to move beyond the ideology of the Crusades. There are many Christian scholars who sincerely believe that Islam is being vilified by certain special interest groups. These scholars should be the first to challenge writers like Charles Moore, whose pens emit nothing but hatred against Islam and Muslims.

Qur’an 60:1 “Believers, take not my enemies and yours as allies, offering them love, even though they have rejected the truth that has come to you, and have driven out the Prophet and you because you believe in Allah! If you have come out to struggle [fight jihad] in My Cause, and to seek My Pleasure, (take them not as friends), holding secret converse of love with them: for I am aware of all you conceal. And any of you that does this has strayed from the Straight Path. If they were to get the better of you, they would be your foes, and stretch forth their hands and their tongues against you with evil (designs).”
002.195 "Spend your wealth in Allah's Cause [fighting infidels], and be not cast by your own hands to perdition; and do good. Lo! Allah loves the doers of good."
002.216 "Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims), though you dislike it. But it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and like a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knows, and you know not."

crusadwatcher think about this, Mohammadanism is portrayed as being anti Jewish and Christian because it is , and the crusades was a defensive war waged years after Moslem terrorists raped and pillaged JEWISH and CHRISTIAN holy sites. Sites that Moslems had no reason to want. Mecca is where their rock, moon god lives. You have claimed that the Biblical references to killing are sometimes metaphorical; but the Qur'anic commands are literal. This is a moot point; and for the time being I would dispute your contention by citing examples from the Old Testament where killing on a large scale has been done with the help and guidance of Jehovah or Yahweh.

Read the Book of Joshua, Chapters 8 to 11. About four chapters speak of nothing but killing, killing, killing and again killing, as commanded by Yahweh. I quote just the last part of Joshua Chapter 10:

30: and the LORD gave it also and its king into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and every person in it; he left none remaining in it; and he did to its king as he had done to the king of Jericho.
31: And Joshua passed on from Libnah, and all Israel with him, to Lachish, and laid siege to it, and assaulted it:
32: and the LORD gave Lachish into the hand of Israel, and he took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and every person in it, as he had done to Libnah.
33: Then Horam king of Gezer came up to help Lachish; and Joshua smote him and his people, until he left none remaining.
34: And Joshua passed on with all Israel from Lachish to Eglon; and they laid siege to it, and assaulted it;
35: and they took it on that day, and smote it with the edge of the sword; and every person in it he utterly destroyed that day, as he had done to Lachish.
36: Then Joshua went up with all Israel from Eglon to Hebron; and they assaulted it,
37: and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and its king and its towns, and every person in it; he left none remaining, as he had done to Eglon, and utterly destroyed it with every person in it.
38: Then Joshua, with all Israel, turned back to Debir and assaulted it,
39: and he took it with its king and all its towns; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed every person in it; he left none remaining; as he had done to Hebron and to Libnah and its king, so he did to Debir and to its king.
40: So Joshua defeated the whole land, the hill country and the Negeb and the lowland and the slopes, and all their kings; he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD God of Israel commanded.

I understand that 'he left none remaining' means, Joshua killed the men, the women and the kids—even babies. At the command of Yahweh.

And we read this in the Book of Isaiah:

"Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished." (Isaiah 13:15-16)

Here we see how the Bible tells of God's commands to fight and kill.

In the New Testament, Jesus Christ is quoted as saying that he had come to bring the sword, to "set father against son and mother against daughter" (Luke 12:53) and called on his followers to kill: "But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me" (Luke 19:27).
you can see that the parable comes to an end with the previous verse, namely Luke 19:26: "For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him."

It was after this we find these verses: "But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.

It is clear that he did not want his disciples to put this into effect immediately. And certainly the mission of Jesus in those days did not include fighting, nor was he prepared for it. But it would be naive to say that Jesus did not know the role of wars in the history of humanity. He certainly knew the Law of Moses and the significance of fighting in Jewish history. Didn't he know that the Law of Moses taught the philosophy of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth? And yet what did he say of the Law?

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled..." (Matthew 5: 17, 18).

And from the manner in which he drove out the money changers in the Jerusalem Temple (John 2: 13-15), it is clear that he did not completely rule out the use of force, in establishing peace on earth.

The question is how did the Christians interpret the words of Jesus in their practical life? Most assuredly the import of the parable (quoted above) was not lost upon the Christians of the later centuries. If we examine the history of Christianity, we see the above words of Jesus have been enacted in bloody reality many times - starting when an important political rebellion against the Roman Catholic Church took on a religious slant - leading to the split in European Christendom between Catholic and Protestant. This split sparked off a series of religious wars which were ultimately to be responsible for the death of nearly a third of the entire White race.

If we argue that the essential message of Jesus is "turning the other cheek" even in the face of the worst provocation, then we have to admit that Jesus' avowed followers have belied his teaching repeatedly. Even when their tongues call Jesus "the Prince of Peace", weapons of mass destruction are being forged in their backyards to massacre the non-Christians. Every time a Christian bomb tears apart the limbs of an Iraqi man, woman or child in Baghdad or Fallujah, Christ's teaching is proved to be null and void. It is funny to hear the Christians blaming Muslims for taking up weapons while they themselves had exploded two Christian atom bombs that killed millions; and theirs is the monopoly of manufacturing, distributing and using the most horrible weapons ever made by the hand of man - the followers of the Prince of Peace indeed!

The Qur'an is a continuation and completion of the earlier scriptures like the Torah and the Gospel; and the mission of Muhammad was a reconciliation between the harsh Law of Moses and the non-violent Gospel of Jesus. Consider this Muslim idea in the light of Islam's acceptance of Moses and Jesus as prophets of God and their books as God-given scriptures. Muhammad never claimed that he was preaching a new religion: he said that his mission can be compared to a brick; the last brick needed to complete the construction of a building. All the prophets—indeed thousands of them—had preached the Religion of God before, and every prophet had a mission to fulfill. And when the time was ripe the Last Prophet came and completed the Religion of God.

The Qur'an has said what means:
*{So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as a favor or let them ransom (themselves) until the war terminates…}* (Muhammad 47:4)

The context of this verse was when the Muslims were to fight their enemies for their very existence. After thirteen years of endurance and patience, the prophet and his companions had to leave their home town of Makkah and to emigrate to Madinah. When the people of Madinah had welcomed him there and he was accepted as a leader there, the Makkans became unhappy. They wanted to eliminate Muhammad and his religion; and so they sent their army to root out Islam. And the crucial battle took place in Badr. It was just before this that Muhammad received the revelation from God to fight:
*{And fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you, and do not exceed the limits, surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits.}* (Al-Baqarah 2:190)

This meant that the Prophet and his companions were not to start the fighting; but to defend themselves against aggressors. That was how fighting was ordained; but we must know that once we fight, we fight to defeat the aggressors, so that we can live without fear of molestation and invasion; so that we can live in peace; so that justice is done. Remember God does not command any one to start fighting; rather He permits people to fight in self defense or for the defense of those who are attacked unjustly.

All the passages in the Qur'an referring to fighting have been revealed in the context of the threats of battles from the enemies of Truth and Justice. And when you are told to fight, you are commanded to fight on till justice is established; till the criminals are brought to book, till Peace can prevail.

When DU bombs are dropped from a height of 30,000 ft, how can you turn the other cheek? By their invasions and occupations the people whom the Muslims see as representing the Christians have been proving Jesus' message of Peace irrelevant and meaningless in the world of reality. And then they quote Jesus and ask Muslims not to resist them while they go on brutally maiming and massacring people and demolishing their mosques!

First of all Nathan the flat earth theory came from ur fake book the bible, didnt u read ur history book? Europeans thought the earth was flat before Coumbus prooved them wrong, (actually the pagan Greeks also prooved the earth was a sphere, but it was branded as heresy by Christian preists because the bible says the earth is flat), The Quran actually say the earth is round, shows how much u know about the Quran. As for the other stuff u wrote I have no clue where u found it because I actually read the Quran and it doesnt say those things anywhere u probably found them in some anti-islamic site and pasted it, it takes common sense to know that the moon and sun are two different things.

What you fell to realize is in the Book of Joshua it is giving an account of what happened, this is not a commandment to us to kill today.
Nowhere does the Bible state that man is perfect. Jewish or gentile.
Nowhere does the Bible state that killing an unbeliever is less a sin than killing a believer.
Nowhere does the Bible suggest that a man cannot defend himself.
Nowhere in the Bible will you find a contradiction!
Nowhere does the Bible tell a man to beat his wife.
The Bible makes it clear the God and God alone dishes out justice.
The Bible makes it clear that man is unjust and by nature a sinner.

The entire Bible is a Contradiction, The New Testament contridicts with the Old, If Muslims actualy hate the jews then why was it u Christian who started the Holocaust? Anti-Semitism itself has its origins from Christianity, the bible places the blame on Jesus's death on the Jews, the Quran does not, Both Christian and Jews are protected people in the Quran, how else can u explain the thousands of Christian and Jewish communities that lived peacefully under Muslim territories for hundreds of years, in the middle east and in Ottoman empire, while it the Christians who started the Pogroms and other types of persecution of Jews in Europe. I did realize after a few posts that I was dealing with an very uninformed poster, that came off later as maybe being 14 years old. This poster like all Moslem posters that have come before, can only repeat what they have been told. The Moslems seem to not have the ability to counter arguments made to them about their Qur’an, and they always leave me with the feeling that I know more about the Qur’an, then they do!
