Plot to murder Dutch Islam critic

From AFP, with thanks to Anthony:

A plot to murder Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Dutch lawmaker of Somali origin who is a leading critic of radical Islam, has been uncovered in the course of the investigation into the assassination of film-maker Theo van Gogh, the daily De Telegraaf said on Wednesday.

Hirsi Ali co-wrote the script for van Gogh's movie "Submission," dealing with the oppression and abuse of women under Islam, that led to his murder on November 2 by a suspected Islamic radical. Under tight police protection, she was reported to be planning a sequel to the movie and writing a book targeted at Muslims.

De Telegraaf said a document was found during a police raid on an apartment in Amersfoort that was searched as part of an anti-terrorism swoop.

It added that the plan was to assassinate Hirsi Ali on New Year's Eve when the sound of shots would have been masked by the noise of fireworks.

It's just amazing that you have people whose sole purpose in life seems to be to murder people who threaten their belief system. Nothing better to do in life but to devise plans to take another person's life, for their "god". It just goes to show, we're dealing with some sort of subhuman mutant beings. You can't be like this and be normal. And we shouldn't have to put up with psychopaths like this amongst us. We just want to live and let live, a few arguments and disagreements on the way, but everybody getting along. It's astounding that we are forced to endure these creeps, forced to accept and respect their "culture", forced to get along with people who despise us and would gladly see us all dead. We're living in a great big asylum.

So true, Feralee.
The good news I see here is that it appears the Dutch authoroties are really starting to clean house.
Good for Holland! Send them back to where they can play Takfir and Kill all they want.

Harbi ain't playing that game, no more!

Let's hope the Dutch clamp down. Over in Britain they are probably on the verge of passing blasphemy laws.

Since Dutch MP (Member of Parliament) Hirsi Ali has been under death threats for half a year (when her film "Submission" was released), traveling with bodyguards, living in hiding and meanwhile mourning the slaughter of her colleague Theo Van Gogh (murdered on U.S. Election Day), this hardly seems like a breakthrough in police work.

The true test shall be:

when will they start deporting these fifth column members en masse to the fly-riddled precincts Mecca.

A Dutch professor friend of mine, in Leiden, recently asked how hard it was to emigrate to the U.S., so the situation is not all that hopeful for the average 'Nederlander'.

As with the weak-willed representatives in the U.S. government, the Dutch politicos also like to dither things to death.

They'll get that wish. Big time.

Is the freeze on real political debate about the islamic threat in western countries partly a function of physical threat ?

I think so.

Had a discussion with a few friends about starting a new Canadian political party 'Smin', as in 'Stop muslim immigration now'.

The main subject of conversation became the threat to life, and the lives of family, that would be engendered by anyone whose name was attached to such a party.

As the islamics know, you only have to kill a few people for a lot of people to get the message.

Our democracies are being crippled right now by the killings and threats of islamics.

It takes a brave person, and one whose family and other relatives are well protected, to lead a political response to the islamics, which is probably why we have not seen such a response, except from Pym in Holland, and they killed him ( ok, an islamic sypathizer killed him ).

Free expression is being lost because of these political assasinations and threats.

Our political institutions, our democracy, are being slowly throttled by islamics.

We dare no longer voice our thoughts publicly.

The beginning of the end of the civilized world.

sympathizer, oops.

There's always "guerrilla propaganda"...

The Resistance Movement during WW II worked underground.

'The White Rose', in darkest Nazi Germany, is a shining example of what a simple brother and sister- and a few college friends- can attempt against a mad tyranny.

May our friends on the Continent start considering the formation of a-

European Resistance Against Islamic Terror.

Perhaps with the sign of a "hammer" (Charles Martel) for their public grafitti- as opressed Christians once used the insignia of a simple fish.

Ben Franklin put it well during his own underground movement:

"We must all hang together, or we shall surely be hanged seperately."

Hang in there!

Noooo, what are the odds that a Muslim would want to murder someone that challenges their version of reality by exposing the truth about Islam and Muhammed.
It's now a bit too late for Muslims to continue the charade about Islam meaning Peace, the claim that 99.9 percent of Muslims are peaceful just might be true, but it's the silence and lack of will to purge Islam of the Militants or even condemn the persons instead of the usual attack on the actions as "Un-Islamic" .

What I find really sad about the mindset of Muslims in Holland is that they were more upset at the Quranic verses displayed on a female body and not the horror and pain suffered by the abuse
towards women within Islam.
I guess the real outrage over the Theo Van Gogh murder was that some of his blood got on those sacred verses from the Quran as the knife pearced
his chest to afix the note left by the Peaceful
tolerant,God fearing Muslim.

How dare Theo mock Islam by bleeding on a note
that cites the Holy-Quran,that alone justifies
the killing of any infidel that defiles the image of Islam and Muhammed.
When will we become more sensitive to the feelings of those oppressed, poverty stricken victims of democracies that keep taking them in and forcing them to live off the social benefits of the infidels money.

I will continue in the fine company of people from many religions and understandings, standing in opposition to islam, as we always have.
