Potential jurors in a federal terrorism trial are being asked if they believe Islam endorses violence more than other religions and whether they have close friends from the Middle East.Questions about their views on Islam and the Middle East, as well as some city mosques, are some of the queries posed at jurors in the upcoming trial of Mohammed Ali Hassan Al-Moayad and Mohammed Mohsen Yahya Zayed in federal court in Brooklyn.
The defendants are accused of plotting to give help to the terror groups al-Qaida and Hamas. Undercover federal operatives caught them on video and audio tapes allegedly discussing plans to funnel millions of dollars to the groups.
Al-Moayad and Zayed have denied wrongdoing and claim they were manipulated and entrapped by the government. Al-Moayad said he ran a number of charities in Yemen.
U.S. District Judge Sterling Johnson released the blank 43-page juror questionnaire yesterday after Newsday and other members of the news media requested the document.
About 270 potential jurors filled in the questionnaire and will be asked in the next few days about their responses as part of the process to select an anonymous panel. Opening statements are expected Jan. 25.
Potential jurors are being asked if they view Islam as a violence-prone religion because of recent poll results, said Jonathan Marks, who is representing Zayed. Marks pointed to a recent Cornell University survey showing that 65 percent of self-described highly religious people said they view Islam as encouraging violence more than other religions do.
"We are trying to weed out the jurors who have been against Muslim people," he said. Al-Moayad, 56, is a Muslim cleric from Yemen and Zayed, 31, was his assistant.
The question whether one believes Islam to be a religion of peace can be answered "Yes" by everyone with a clear conscience. We all know that once the entire world is Muslim, there will at last be peace (sort of, at least between Muslims and dhimmis and the no longer living). Therefore, by convoluted (Islamic) reasoning, Islam can be thought of as a religion that strives ferverently for peace. With this rationale absolving the prospective juror of possible perjury, he/she is ready to sit in judgement on any Islamic jihadist.
As to the question whether a prospective juror views Islam as a violence-prone religion, how can anyone answer this in the affirmative? Why would anyone come to such a conclusion? Of course, anyone who has posted a comment here or wrtten anything that can be produced in a court and result in a mistrial or a reversal of a verdict on appeal, must answer this question truthfully.
For most of us, a "Yes" answer is correct for either question.
A bit of taqiyya is called for. That's what Muslims do, after all, so who are we to criticise.

Defence barristers hope that the jury will be naive, and like to try and weed out anyone with any sense. This is another example.
I think that islam is a religion of peace. The same way I think that Hitler's Nazi Party is a trade union activist party. Be that as it may, I don't think that this would preclude me from being a juror. For example, the defendant was aprehended on his way to the 5th Street subway station with a holdall containing 10lbs of semtex, a cell phone, his last will and testament, koran. At his home was a videod statement of his desire for martyrdom, his pleasure at acceptance of this "mission" to kill the infidel dogs etc, etc, etc etc. The trial should be over in an hour and we would be done by lunchtime. Take the prisoner down, NEXT !!!
This lopsided trial should be fun to watch.
These Moslems will find it very hard to conceal their lies about Mohammadanism anymore. Even with a jury stacked in their favor.

Jonathan Marks is a smart lawyer - he cherry-picks his jurors so as to get the best jury he can stack in his favor. The more ignorant, the better.
On the other hand, I doubt it will do Marks much good - they're going to need more than taqiyya to explain their way out of what is on those video and audio tapes.

The religion, itself, is a book. Unless someone throws the book at you, it just sits there. Harmless. Peaceful. A joy to behold.
So the jurors could honestly say that they do not think that the 'religion' itself is more violent.
Luckily, the lawyers didn't ask: "Do you think the followers of Islam are more violent?".
Then the cats are out of their despotic bags.
Since their acts are treason in wartime, does the death penalty at least apply to these traitorious maniacs?
Or will they be given a heroes welcome by the Muslims in the NY prison system, get a free legal library to start raising insidious questions of inane jurisprudence, a gym to beef up in, and a free state-provided Koran?

With the rate at which Americans are wising up to islam, it wont be long before a fair trial for a muslim in the US, will become impossible. Jurors will then have to be brought in from Canada and the UK.

I have maintained for a long while that muslims were the first, and still are the greatest sufferers from of an ideological disease, that came about from the rantings of a pervert and sociopath- an ideology that has closed their minds to the development of human culture for the last 1400 years.
A couple of days ago on JW/DW, there was a very informed discussion on the origins of allah. Fascinating and impressive, but missing the point. The allah that muslims worship now, is not the allah moongod or whatever of pre-islamic times, but the product of a diseased psychotic's mind. As such, there is no real reason to discuss the concept or origins of allah, except as a psychological guide to the psychosis of mohammed. Such discussions on the origins of allah, also give respectability to allah which he most certainly does not deserve. It also gives the muslim the feeling, that there is some conceptual or spiritual worth to allah, when in fact there is none.

Will I be shown the proof that Islam means Peace or are we to just accept it without a trial to weigh the evidence,ooops,this is a Courtroom and the "Truth" is based on perception so don't expect a Judge to Judge the Quran because he has already sworn on a Bible to uphold the values of human rights assured by God as a given and not to be bargained away by any group claiming to know the real truth.
