Tsunamis won't stop jihadis

From B. Raman, additional secretary (retired), cabinet government of India, New Delhi, and currently director of the Institute for Topical Studies, Chennai, and distinguished fellow and convener, Observer Research Foundation (ORF), Chennai chapter, in AsiaTimes, with thanks to mjinks:

The large-scale deployment of highly visible US troops in Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Thailand could make them attractive targets for al-Qaeda, the Jemmah Islamiyah and other jihadi terrorist organizations and add to the internal security problems of the affected countries.

It would be wishful thinking to believe that because of the enormous tragedy, the jihadi terrorists will refrain from acts of terrorism in the tsunami-ravaged countries due to a fear that this could antagonize the local population. The tragedy in Thailand has not prevented jihadi terrorists from continuing their acts of terrorism in the Muslim-majority provinces of southern Thailand. They have never cared for public opinion and fears of public revulsion have never been an inhibiting factor for them.

'The Pattani United Liberation Organization [PULO] and NEW PULO are waging a separatist struggle in Southern Thailand. Instability has been exploited
by Terrorists including PULA -Pattani United Liberation Army who have claimed responsibility for bombs and arson attacks and periodically target schools and Buddhist temples. 'Yeah, Religion of Pieces is driving Jihad in South Asia
with Al Quaeda in every country. It is likely some
Islamo Fascists were swept away by Tsunami but not
enough...

I just read this in the St. Pete Times.

Over $3 Billion dollars have been pledged so far. The top donor countries for tsunami disaster aid are:

Australia: $810 Million
Germany: $674 M
Japan: $500 M
USA: $350 M
Norway: $183 M
France: $103 M
Britain: $95 M
Sweden: $75 M
Denmark: $75 M
Spain: $68 M

Sum the totals above...you should get $2,934,000,000 ($2.9 B). That means that the total pledged from countries not included above is no more than $168 M. This is the MOST it could be, since if it was over this amount, the international figure would be touted as $3.1 Billion, not $3 Billion. If we take the $3 Billion figure at face value, that means that the 180-odd nations not listed above have only contributed a combined total of $68 Million.

Hello? What's wrong with this picture?

Where are all those super-rich oil countries? Those controlled by the "religion of peace" that touts "giving in charity" as one of its five so-called "pillars"?

There are over 200 Million Arabs living in the Middle East. They can't even send one dollar each? How about those oft-cited 1.2 Billion Muslims world-wide? If they sent 8 CENTS each, they could send $100 Million, putting them apace with France's 60 Million people.

Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Brunei, and Libya all make hundreds of billions of dollars a year in oil reserves. Iran, Pakistan (and thanks to Pakistan, probably Egypt) have billions to squander on nuclear research (while their people live in squalor to boot). When are these big spenders going to step up to the plate and contribute like the "immoral" and "Crusader" countries?

This should be considered especially repugnant in light of some of these ultra-wealthy nations to raise funds for suicide bombers in and around Israel.

Just in case you missed my post yeterday, here it is again:

I’ve read the posts asking for Jihadwatch readers to provide ideas for what we might do to help spread the word. From what I’ve seen so far, there are some great ideas and you have my complete support. I would suggest though that we’d be remiss in our efforts if first we didn’t recognize and show our tangible support and appreciation to Robert and Hugh for running the Jihadwatch site. They’re providing a great service and doing outstanding work--I think we should do what we can to help them continue that work.

With that said, I’m challenging all Jihadwatch readers to donate $100.00 (or whatever you can) to jihadwatch.org AND to send at least one of Robert’s books to someone (friend, foe, family, politician, etc.).

There’s a donation link in the left column on the home page and a link at the top of the page for purchasing books.

Please do what you can.

Of course our troops aiding the tsunami victims are going to be targets as they have pledged to hit Americans wherever they are found. The fact that Americans are giving aid only enrages them more as they would prefer that Muslims receive nothing of value from the West that they themselves don't take: booty is preferable to charity as charity is humiliating.

They´re rubbish

Nuclear bombs violate everything that is humane. They alter the meaning of life itself. Why do we tolerate them? Why do we tolerate these men who are developing nuclear weapons to blackmail the entire human race?
Are these the questions we are being forced to re-assert

KJ.... St. Pete Times. Are you in Florida?

Bushes Welcome New Puppy to White House
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush and his wife, Laura, got a new pet on Thursday, a Scottish terrier puppy named Miss Beazley.

The puppy, a gift to the first lady from the president for her 58th birthday in November, was born on Oct. 28. The puppy joins the Bushes' other two pets: Barney, another Scottish terrier, and a black cat named India.

Miss Beazley, named after a dinosaur in a popular children's book, is the daughter of Barney's half-brother.

The 10-week-old puppy, which was introduced to the press corps on the South Lawn of the White House, proved to be camera shy, opting to run behind a bush rather than pose for a picture.
One of the first family's dogs, an English springer spaniel named Spot, died last February aged 14.

Don't you just love it!!!

And did you hear??

Students Arrested for Cyber Bullying

We all know about high school bullying but have you heard of cyber-bullying? It's real and three Loranger High School students have been arrested for it. You're looking at computer equipment confiscated as part of the Attorney General's High Tech Crimes Unit investigation.
They say the bullying started when a 15-year-old female student created a website picking on a 14-year old male student. He responded with his own site featuring poems with threatening language. A concerned parent alerted the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff, and he contacted authorities.
They say the language was so graphic, it crossed the line and is considered "cyber-stalking," which is a felony. Kris Wartelle with the Attorney General's Office said, "It sort of was like bullying on the Internet that got even worse, and we're lucky it didn't escalate to something even worse."
One student, 18-year old Joseph Sanchez, was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor; he helped the younger male set up and maintain his website. The pair called themselves the "8-Ballas," and their poems targeted a group of students they called the "Preps."
We'll have more on this story coming up on 9-News tonight

Looking at the list of countries that have payed out in Shiva's post makes me nauseous. Why should we give them anything. None of the countries that have suffered most are particularly poor countries, and there's just no way we can be sure the canniving skanks in the UN aren't pilfering every penny of it. My mother donated some and won't tell me how much, it's so frustrating.

If it was us, they would help, America deals with it's own Earthquakes (just because the US has prospered doesn't mean you should feel guilty about living in a rich developed country).

Notice every single country on Shiva's list (apart from the arab ones of course) are what muslims would class as infidel states. The evil west strikes again, if we were so evil and imperialist, and were waging a war on islam then surely we'd let them rot all rot in hell (or at least stop feeding the arabs).

One more point:
India doesn't want any help, neither does Sri Lanka, Thailands not as badly hit as the others....
Does that mean then that the major focus of the rescues , aid/charity will be on Indonesia. If so I say we pull everyone out of there now and leave the Jihadist scum to clear up all the wreckage, rescue survivor, and raise cash for medicine and heavy duty machinary. We all know they live out of the Saudi Oil-Pigs pockets, so maybe they ought to fork out for something positive for once... IE- Saving lives instead of ending them.
