BEIRUT (Reuters) - Hizbollah called on the Lebanese to help "bury" a United Nations resolution demanding the Islamic group disarm and its Syrian backers quit Lebanon, and predicted it would not succeed without their support.The Shi'ite Muslim group's remarks late on Thursday coincided with a visit to Lebanon and Syria by U.N. envoy Terje Roed-Larsen, charged with overseeing resolution 1559 which has stoked controversy in the country as May elections approach.
"To those who say: 'What are we to do about the international resolution 1559?' we say: 'Come, let's bury 1559 together," Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Kassem told followers in Hizbollah's southern Beirut stronghold.
"Say with us: God's curse on this international resolution. If we do not bother with it, it will fall by itself, because America, Israel and France and those behind them cannot enforce it directly, they need hands.
"Stop the hands from helping them and it will fall," Kassem told thousands of Shi'ite Muslims gathered to commemorate Ashura, which marks the death of the prophet's grandson Imam Hussein more than 13 centuries ago.

In the early 1950s Christians made up 60% of Lebanon's population. Lebanon had not yet been forced to declare itself an "Arab" country, as happened with the Taif Agreement (really, Taif Diktat, with a smiling David Satterfield from the State Department in clueless attendance). Charles Malik, father of the equally estimable Habib Malik, was the symnbol in the West of Lebanon. The Maronites, who after all, while they use Arabic, are not Arabs, were in control -- after all, the Christians predate the Muslim invasion, and the Maronite claim to descend from the Phoenicians is not only not absurd, but perfectly plausible -- where, after all, would the descendants of those Phoenicians have gone?
Lebanon should not merely be free of Syrian troops. It should be reconstituted as a Christian country, for all the Christians all over the Middle East who can no longer abide their lives as dhimmis. In the same way that Jews from Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, and Algeria resettled in Israel, in the reborn Jewish commonwealth, why should not the original Christians of the Middle East find their redoubt in Lebanon? Why should Muslims, who have space everywhere else, and who have made life hellish for the indigenous Middle Eastern Christians, continue to be in Lebanon at all? Surely 21 Arab Muslim states are enough for them, and surely the Christians, especially the Maronites (whose descendants make up 80% of those so misleadingly identified as "Arab-Americans" in this country)deserve their own state, free from the constant pressure of a large Muslim population?

Huge Mosque Going Up in British Neighborhood
I recieved this letter today from one of our members concerning a new mosque going up in her neighborhood. She has requested the following help on the matter:
"Hi Susan,
can you help me please, can you point me in the direction of any documents ( nothing too lengthy) the group have put together that I could use to send along with a covering letter of objection to the proposals to site a mosque in our town. I'm thinking of something on the lines of various Qur'an quotes,.. Sharia gems,.. imam/cleric quotes,.. facts and figures relating to use of mosques in western countries,.. their agenda in the west,.. atrocities committed in the west,.. that sort of thing.
can you also pass this mail on to anyone who has taken on a lead role for the British within the PACC group.
I'm furious because these plans are likely to be passed, as our council TOTALLY ignores objections from the people to any plans submitted for any proposals that they are in favour of. (see link below)
I was telling my brother about it this evening and he was amazed, he actually said " I didn't think there were that many Muslims round here" and you know what, you would think he was right, because if they are here in any numbers (such as would require a mosque) they are keeping a very low profile, because I've only seen a couple of women dressed in the hajib, burkah or whatever.
I know when Songat, the camp near to the channel tunnel in France, where many were entering our country illegally from every day and night was closed, they allowed those there at the time into England and they sent most of them up here into a couple very nearby cities, and I must admit from that time they were definitely more noticeable around our small town, even in the surrounding villages.
I emailed our member of parliament ages ago suggesting that he educate himself about Islam, guess what, I didn't get a reply.

I was gobsmacked as we say over here. I want to add my voice to these objections but backed up with some facts as I am sure that the vast majority of my community haven't the first clue about the real Islam. These idiot councillors will be thinking it very novel and cool to give planning permission for a mosque. They are just ordinary townsfolk at the end of the day and most are not that well educated, in fact I would go so far as to say they are as thick as planks, and they will certainly have not one clue about the monster they would invite to set up shop in their midst.

who is it that that that is pushing resolution 1559?.....oh yea... the u.n.,who have a lot of hizbloa members on its force and they use un equipment to promote their personal agenda, did we not see un ambulances being loaded with weapons?
it would be a safe bet if the un would lat down its arms and surrender peacefully,as we have you surrounded.
better yet the un should cease and desist altogether.
