New Jersey murders case update

A note about the murder of a Coptic Christian family last month in a possible revenge killing for their proselytizing activity among Muslims:

After the Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio stated that "the FBI does not think that, based on the information gleaned from the scene, it's based on religious extremism," the situation looked exceedingly bleak: there were numerous reasons to suspect that important leads were not being investigated, and that the Prosecutors Office was bowing to pressure from jittery officials, American Muslim advocacy groups, and possibly even the Egyptian Consulate to soft-pedal the case.

But then the relatives of the slain family held a press conference. The Rev. Dr. Keith Roderick of the Coalition for the Defense of Human Rights declared: "The central issue here should not be about communal disputes, but the fact that the perpetrators of this vicious crime are still at large. To avoid pursuit of what may be the most obvious motive of the murder for fear of maligning one part of the Jersey City community or creating a backlash against that community is irresponsible."

And lo and behold, things started moving. Almost a month after I filed a report, I was contacted today by an investigator with the Prosecutors Office, asking about what I had learned from my conversations with a close friend of the Armanious family and others. I am glad to know that this information has not fallen through the cracks, and is in fact being investigated; soon, I believe, it will begin to come to light. And I have heard from others that there has finally been movement on other leads we feared had been lost or ignored.

The lesson here is that public pressure works. Maybe it's just coincidence that I got a call after the press conference, and not before. Maybe it isn't. But America is still a relatively open system, and the more we can draw public attention to injustice, the better chance there is that justice will come. And that, indeed -- drawing attention to the depredations of jihad violence and Sharia, in the name of universal human rights -- is the purpose of Jihad Watch.

Bravo, Mr. Spencer, sir!

This is heartening news indeed. Accepting the risk of celebrating too soon, I commend the fact that things have finally begun to change in this sorry spectacle in NJ.

The lesson here is that public pressure works.
You bet!

But America is still a relatively open system, and the more we can draw public attention to injustice, the better chance there is that justice will come.

Yes! And let us all be thankful of the fact. i can't imagine public pressure of the variety that was brought in thisd NJ case producing any positive results in France, Canada or even Britain.

One of my most favourite quotes I post here frequently should be adopted and paid forward so much that it should be synonymous with "baseball, hot dogs and apple pie", seen as advertisements on the side of buses, banners behind planes, full page newspaper ads,and whatever else could be construed:

"As many arrows, loosed several ways, come to one mark...so may a thousand actions, once afoot, end in one purpose". William Shakespeare

The Activism created here as well as many other sites about this horrendous slaughter should be concluded to as the beginning of the end,and the end being "were not going to take it any more".

From the links of many here and a special thanks to ammo4u who helped me out I sent E-mail and called the prosecutors office to voice my dissapointment in their investigation.

Those who come here are united in the efforts afforded us to fight the war islam and although we are seperated by sea's and continents we become connected by cables, wires and towers for one purpose.

Shake the apple tree at the base, knock down all the fruit and choose the best.

When you were contacted, were you asked why you had been given information by a Coptic family friend? Did you explain that some Copts in Jersey City feared, given the record of CAIR's managing to publicize its "connections" to local police departments ("sensitivity training" and so on), and the likely use as Arabic translators for the police of Muslims, that it made sense for Copts, especially since their own experience of the police and army in Egypt is so grim, to contact, circuitously, you? And did the person you speak to ask about your own study of Islam, or why you might have been contacted first? Surely these are subjects of interest.

What one is trying to gauge is the level of intelligent understanding of Islam by the police, and their coming to realize that the fears of Copts about this incident are not an example of hysteria. In fact, these attitudes are rational, for the Copts have a historic and individual memory of what they have endured at Muslim hands, and many remain aware that Muslim attitudes are not jettisoned when Muslims arrive in the lands of the Infidels; their mental baggage comes with them.

Finally, questions from a previous piece posted here remain to be asked: Who had reason to be most offended by the father and by Sylvia, neither one shy about their beliefs as Coptic Christians? Who may have disappeared just after the murders, perhaps even have suddenly gone abroad? Who would have had no trouble with the method of execution? Who would have egged on such a person, even helped to plan the operation, designed to shut up all the uppity Copts, and not only in Jersey City.

One can imagine for oneself the visit, the entry into the house, the heated discussion, the demand that the father and Sylvia "revert" or otherwise atone for some act Muslims have been taught deserves death -- possibly converting others to Christianity, or attempting to do so.

That final scene when Robert Donat calls out to Mr. Memory at the Palladium had nothing on this.

Good going, Robert. You're a solid citizen.

Movement in the investigation is good. But the authorities frittered away - a more vulgar verb comes to mind - the critical first 48 hours.

I came across this Muslim website that tries to fool Americans with the ruse of "Taqiyya" that
allows for a Islamic veneer that promotes pluralism and peace for all humans.
What a crock of sh*t,note that the Quranic verse
about killing the innocent is far from the definition that CAIR and Hooper try to pawn off to the media, the Quran 5:33 verse tells Muslims it's Ok to kill the corrupted ones on earth that are the enemies of Islam.

The anti-terrorism disclaimer makes it clear that Mosques aren't libel for literature or persons connected to Terrorist groups, the menu
is a joke when you read about the fear of backlash
and the false portrayal of Muslims since 9/11.
The swamp is slowly being drained and Islamists and Jihadists are breaking the surface and CAIR can no longer peddle their tripe about Islam having nothing to do with the 9/11 massacre by wealthy playboy Muslims killing God's children for Allah's cause.
As for the scam about being loyal Muslim/Americans because they lived there for most of their lives, that means if Ibrahim Hooper
lived in a garage for 20 years he would be a Car.
Sorry Hooper, actions and deeds speak louder than
hollow rants of compassion and being peaceful.

Well done, R.S.,
and thank you for all your work.

The bumbling, deliberate as i think, or otherwise, of the investigating team, leaves me with a deep unease about justice for non muslims in America.

Is it tactically wise to disclose information about ongoing investigations? It is indeed good to hear that serious investigations seem to have started now, but considering the massive pressure the FBI is receiving from 'civil-rights'-organizations it might be wiser not to expose the FBI to even more pressure by making public information about the questions they have asked.

Simon:

"Is it tactically wise to disclose information about ongoing investigations?"

No. That's why I didn't. Neither in this post nor in any other have I yet posted what I know about this case.

"It is indeed good to hear that serious investigations seem to have started now, but considering the massive pressure the FBI is receiving from 'civil-rights'-organizations it might be wiser not to expose the FBI to even more pressure by making public information about the questions they have asked."

Good investigators follow every lead, worthless or not. Their talking to me is no sign that they believe me: in fact, when he spoke to me the investigator was unfailingly polite but highly skeptical and a bit condescending. I think his skepticism will vanish the more people he talks to, but that's just my opinion. Meanwhile, this post harms nothing: there are reporters out there ready to disclose the information I have, which I have not yet done precisely because I don't want to harm any investigation -- and I hope that if they do disclose it, the investigation won't be harmed. But I have in no way harmed it.

Terminator~ I have forwarded the link to that song to over a hundred people so far. Too bad we don't have a video to go with it!

OT,

But it goes with this. I was sent this email today by one of the members and I thought, well my number is unlisted, but I'll try it anyway.

I did, It came up under another name, but the address was only 5 doors down from where I now live!

So, even thought it showed the last person who had had this number, it still put the right stree down and the home address just a few doors down!

Check your numbers! If it comes up, you can remove it.

Google has implemented a feature wherein you can type someone's telephone number into the search bar and hit enter and then you will be given a map to their house.

Before forwarding this, I tested it by typing my telephone number in google.com search bar. My phone number came up, and when I clicked on the MapQuest link, it actually mapped out where I live.

Quite scary. Please look up your own number. Read below for details.

Think about it--if a child, single person, ANYONE gives out their phone number, someone can actually now look it up to find out where they live.

To test whether your phone number is mapped, go to: http://www.google.com/

Type your phone number in the search bar with or without dashes (i.e. 555-555-1212 or 5555551212) and hit enter.

If you want to BLOCK Google from divulging your private information, simply click on the telephone icon next to your phone number and wait to fill out the form. I removed my name, but it takes 48-hours.
If you are unlisted in the phone book, you might not be in there, but it is a good idea just to check.

Forward this information on to friends and family that would like to remove this information. (If you want to.)

Just think what could happen, someone calls your house your not home and they have a map of where you live and gosh knows what could happen

If it turns out that Muslims are responsible there will be, no doubt, repercussions. Why law enforcement would want to protect Muslims at the expense of Christian lives is beyond me. This is the act of submission. It is what is in store for all of us unless we fight it.

Congratulations Mr. Spencer! This world is a better place because your in it. That also goes for many, many of the posters here.

susan_b, Thanks for your post about our phone numbers! That valuable information for us all.

And yet the main stream media has barely covered
this ongoing investigation. For a comparison,
if the family that was murdered was a gay couple,
and their children, all of Hollywood would
have been out holding candles and wearing
appropriately colored ribbons. However, this
story doesn't serve them in any way. Such
hypocrisy.

Truth and Justice is a mighty swift sword!

Three cheers for Jihadwatch!

Maybe it is just the US that that Google thing works in - I put in mine and I could find me. Not for much longer, of course.

For google it would just be the U.S., but when you insert your phone number to check it, notice the list of other sites that may have your information also.

Again JW readers are warned of potential threats that do need adressed.thanks susan_b.

mine comes up not matching me but does contain on oddity in fact.

My sides are still splitting, thanks for a memorable quote, it goes in my file of memorable quotes.

ROTFL.

We need a major campaign to debunk the notion that a Muslim can be both an American and a Muslim. Or a German and a Muslim or English and Muslim.

AS we all know there is only one nation and that is the Nation of Islam, the Ummah.

And yet the main stream media has barely covered this ongoing investigation. A patently ridiculous self serving statement, reminiscent of Muslim whining. And a specious ploy to turn the gun sights onto another minority (gays) who are not Jihadists, but are like all of us loyal tax paying citizens, who would if they could actually serve in the Armed Forces.

Might I remind you of the many, many cases of familicide carried out by Christian men, which netted little more than a comment in the news, then quickly buried. Case in point the Day Trader who murdered his wife and children, after he lost $40,000 in the stock market, and the Christian who murdered his family in Oregon to "spare them shame and disgrace" but then went on to hide, but was caught in Idaho.

Keep your sights focused on the real enemy, the enemy of all civil libertarians, Christians, Jews, gays and straights.

Unless of course you are a social fascist, then if that's the case you have a friend in Islam.

Geez, Susan_b, being totally tech-challenged, I had no idea about the phone number/Google thing! Thank you! The whole idea of having the location of our homes available to absolutely anyone is both disgusting and frightening!

Speaking of disgusting and frightening, Judge Napolitano's book "Constitutional Chaos" (not sure of the exact title, don't have it in front of me--something like that) points out that most of our legislators never read the Homeland Security Act before signing on to it. According to the Judge's book, FBI agents don't have to seek a warrent to search your home from a judge, they can write it up themselves. Worse yet, if such a thing happens to you, you can be jailed if you speak to anyone, including your lawyer, about the incident.

Another gift from Islam. . . The Muslims must be ROTFL!

LOVE THAT, Ala! You bet--a practicing, believing Muslim, no matter where he is born or how long he has lived here, can truthfully and sincerely take an oath of office or of naturalization without giving up Islam; the requirements of the oaths and those of Islam are mutually exclusive. I have to wonder if there isn't some legal justification--fraud, perhaps?--for rescinding citizenship of many naturalized Muslims.

AND Muslims must understand that just because they WISH to be perceived as good citizens and decent people isn't enough to make it happen. As you point out, actions speak louder than words, and if they want a better reputation, they have to behave better.

Unfortunately, people like Hooper equate wishes with objectively real actions; if they SAY something, it is AS IF it were fact. Part of the Arab psychoepistemology--read Patai's book, "The Arab Mind." It was last revised by the author in 1983, but you know how slow the Arabs are to change anything; what Patai said then remains true today, and it makes very interesting reading.

Oops--typo; I meant NO practicing Muslim, no matter where he was born...

Wow. Before I got all disturbed by susan_b's information, I meant to thank Robert for his work on the Coptic murder case. Indeed, Robert, many thanks.

And Robert's statement: "The lesson here is that public pressure works." is very encouraging, since quite a few of us are doing what we can to pressure the deaf, dumb, and blind into SOME sort of recognition of the danger!

I do think that in some cases, our government is still capable of embarrassment in instances of failing to recognize blinding flashes of the obvious, and that this can be used to our advantage.

cubed:

For the record a Musician can be practicing
Music to get better at it,for a Doctor or Lawyer
they have a Practise and as people of faith do
it is a Practising of a trade or belief.

I had the same problem and looked it up to
see why my music books had Practice on the cover and later my job came with a book on Practising
investment rules and laws.

Just making a note, not intending to point out
the mistake as if I'm better than you,I too
didn't notice the S in place of the C .

Keep the heat on DeFazio. He is the ultimate Jersey hack.

Giaour.
I think you are way off the mark in your "analysis"
of my comments: I was pointing out that Hollywood
and other powerful media groups only come out
to support causes that they deem to be of
social value in their eyes. My remarks had
nothing in them to imply anything else. I don't
know where you "inferred" all that other stuff you
spouted off about. Sherlock Holmes you are not.

Sorry to comment off-topic, but I have seen hysterical posts like Susan B's before... I think they may be a form of spam, because the messages have all been almost exactly verbatim. But in reality, there's nothing to get excited about. The internet has supplied the ability to look up phone numbers for at least a couple of years, both from name, and reverse look-up by number. And, of course, thanks to MapQuest, you can find a map and directions of any address in the US. So, even though this may seem like something scary, it's basically the same as someone using a phone book and a map. Nothing to get all worked up about.

Unfortunately, the longer you wait to follow a lead, the less valuable it becomes.
