I might as well make a template with that headline, I have to use it so often in regard to the wonderful charitable works of our friends and allies the Saudis. "Saudi Charity Suspected of Aiding Terror," from AP, with thanks to Teri:
PORTLAND, Ore. - A U.S. arm of a large Saudi charity suspected by the government of supporting terrorism was indicted on fraud and tax charges, federal prosecutors said Thursday. The three-count indictment charges Al-Haramain Islamic Foundation and its two officers, Pirouz Sedaghaty - also known as Pete Seda - and Soliman Al-Buthe with illegally sending $150,000 to Muslim fighters in Chechnya.
The Bush administration last September designated the charity as a group suspected of supporting terrorism through its main location in Ashland and a mosque in Springfield, Mo. Assets at both sites have been frozen since last February.
Sedaghaty had been living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, but the whereabouts of Al-Buthe were unknown. There was no word on any arrests.
A federal grand jury indictment Wednesday alleges an Egyptian citizen contacted the foundation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, seeking to donate money to Muslims in Chechnya. The indictment said $150,000 was transferred by wire to a foundation bank account in Ashland.
Whoo whoo. Dear me. Saudis involved in jihad terror. Whatever next. Maybe we will find out that they are Wahabis. Let's face it, any stream of money that comes out of Saudi Arabia, these days, is ipso facto suspect.
Saudi? Charity? in the same sentence? Only if it has to do with funding hate-mongering madrassas.

The following is a description of what cult is:
· A cult is a religious group with extreme beliefs and practices - beliefs that are often contrary to science and logic but they are believed as "obvious" truth by the cult members.
· The members of cults often isolate themselves from friends, family and society and use deceptive and unethical recruiting techniques
· Use manipulative methods to control the minds of followers
· Venerate a human leader or leaders
· Recruiting work is performed by all of the members
· People are not allowed to criticize the leader, the doctrine, or the organization, or read information that is critical of the cult.
· Members are trained to reject and disbelieve criticism of the cult as lies from Satan.
· Members spy on one another and report improper activities or comments to leaders.
· Members are taught to suppress anything which might reflect negatively to outsiders about the cult.
· The doctrine is absolutist and the ideology is internalized as "the Truth."
· Members are told to avoid contact with ex-members or critics, even their relatives.
· Members are instilled with a deep fear about ever leaving the organization, and anyone who does depart is of the devil and sometimes severely punished.
· Members are emotional controlled and warned of being caught and punished.
· Disciplinary action is administered by group leaders, which may involve excommunication for such things as questioning organization policy or doctrine.
· People are encouraged to sacrifice education, career and family interests to server the interests of the cult.
· Advocate socializing only with other members in the organization and avoiding outsiders.
· The belief in apocalypse and Dooms Day.
· Fear of separation from the organization.
· Belief that theirs is the only true religion.

Gary, gary, Gary I see you are up to your usual distraction and dissimulation, making as if the problem is the left. LOL
How do Saudi subversive "charities" operate so freely in the US, like the Freedom House report.
Perhaps because of the Caryle Groupand the Saudi Bush relationship
Prince Bandar known to the family as Bandar Bush has slept 14 times in the Lincoln Bedroom
and is able to just call on Bush anytime he wishes.
Who is Bandar Bush

Bush's war on terrorism has left behind an administration approved Islamic Republic of Afghanistan
and an Islamic Republic of Iraq, both with constitutions that make Islam the official religion and Shari'a the basis of law and constitution.
Instead of wiping out terrorists, he is actually creating them by the thousands in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Where once there were 70 or so Islamist terrorist cells of the Muslim Brotherhood, there must be hundreds.
Here is what the International Institute for Strategic Studies says in Strategic Survey 2003/4
The Bush administration last September designated the charity as a group suspected of supporting terrorism through its main location in Ashland and a mosque in Springfield, Mo. Assets at both sites have been frozen since last February.
The above statement proves that the Bush administration is in cahoots with the Saudi’s.

President Bush made Afghanistan and Iraq a free country.
If those people then elect to create an Islamic Republic under Shari’a law that is their business, not yours. You are advocating that President Bush enforce American Judeo-Christian values on these two countries, values that you lambaste every chance you get.
So while giaour growls about an American Theocracy, he advocates it for Afghanistan and Iraq.

Bar islamism and islam isn´t freedom, the religous freedom must be a pillar in these countries, including the evangelization, because without islam, all these problems dissapear, and Saudi Arabia is one of the gylties in all of this.

Gündüz Aktan: What was the cause
http://www.turkishdailynews.com.tr/article.php?enewsid=6333
Ex-president Jimmy Carter has accepted many millions of dollars from Saudis, (including the bin Laden family) for his ‘peace’ organization in Africa.
I wonder how many the millions who have died as a result of the al Qaeda-aided Islamist government in the Sudan appreciate Carter’s ‘peace’ work.
Bill Clinton accepted millions in Saudi money to build his new library. After Rudolph Giuliani turned down a $10 million dollar check from Alwaleed bin Talal, Democrat & anti-Semite Cynthia McKinney wrote Talal to beg for that money.
And of course, we all know about the Democrats’ piggy bank, Soros, and his connections with Carlyle.
It’s also hardly worth mentioning that liberal Columbia University has also, like most universities in the nation, has also accepted millions from the Saudis. It’s no surprise that these universities also tend to be anti-Israel.
There are also the millions of donations given to various political, religious, educational groups in other countries.
The problem will only be eliminated when the Saudis are.

I agree, Islam is not freedom. But if those people freely elect non-freedom, who are we to say they cant... Is that not what the essence of freedom is?
American law and values are Judeo-Christian based, it is absurd to think that any Moslems would embrace these values.
Population of Iraq, est. 2004 : 25,374,391
Ethnic groups : Arab 75%-80%, Kurdish 15%-20%, Turkoman, Assyrian or other 5%
Religions : Muslim 97% (Shi'a 60%-65%, Sunni 32%-37%), Christian or other 3%
97% of Iraq is Moslem, yes it makes sense that Islamic law will prevail...
Islamic democratic theocratic republic
They will have a Troy Democracy, more or less...

I can well understand why you are so upset: islamic jihad is ruining all your hopes. It makes perfect sense that liberalism- at least, among those that get it, such as you two- desperately needs islamic jihad to be beaten back. It's playing hell on your agenda. Too many similarities.
Interesting storyline for the FOX '24' show wouldn't you say Mr.Hooper?

Now isnt that strange. Just a couple of days ago, Muslims in Oregon, were stunned and outraged at the allegation that Jihadi cells were present in Oregon
In an interview with The Associated Press last month, Jordan said: "We have people here in Oregon that have trained in jihadist camps in bad areas. In the bad neighborhoods of the world." He added that the FBI knows "they've trained overseas, taken oaths to kill Americans and engage in jihad," but the challenge is "to prove those things."
Ahmed said those comments stunned him, and he wanted Jordan to speak about the remarks to a gathering at the mosque.

-Muslims are encouraged to be wholly occupied (Sura 2:273) with fighting for Allah's cause.
- Allah will give "a far richer recompense to those who fight for him" (Sura 4:96).
- Regarding infidels (unbelievers), they are the Muslim's "inveterate enemies" (Sura 4:101). Muslims are to "arrest them, besiege them and lie in ambush everywhere" (Sura 9:5) for them. They are to "seize them and put them to death wherever you find them, kill them wherever you find them, seek out the enemies of Islam relentlessly" (Sura 4:90). "Fight them until Islam reigns supreme" (Sura 2:193). "Cut off their heads, and cut off the tips of their fingers" (Sura 8:12).
- If a Muslim does not go to war, Allah will kill him (Sura 9:39). He is to be told, "the heat of war is fierce, but more fierce is the heat of Hell-fire" (Sura 9:81).
- A Muslim must "fight for the cause of Allah with the devotion due to him" (Sura 22:78)
- Muslims must make war on the infidels (unbelievers) who live around them (Sura 9:123).
- Muslims are to be "ruthless to unbelievers" (Sura 48:29).
- A Muslim should "enjoy the good things" he has gained by fighting (Sura 8:69).
- A Muslim can kill any person he wishes if it be a "just cause" (Sura 6:152).
- Allah loves those who "fight for his cause" (Sura 61:3).
Anyone who fights against Allah or renounces Islam in favor of another religion shall be "put to death or crucified or have their hands and feet cut off alternative sides" (Sura 5:34).
- Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him. Sahih Al-Bukhari (9:57)
- Slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush. (Koran 9:5)
- Take him and fetter him and expose him to hell fire. (Koran 69:30-37)
- I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, Smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger tips of them. (Koran 8:12)
- They should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides. (Koran 5:33)
Is there anything to be concerned with here? Nah, must just be our non muslim imaginations.
freestar,
The article you posted on cults is interesting and Islam definitely meets all of the criteria.
I have been researching cult deprogramming and exit counseling methods for several years. Deprogramming essentially reawakens a cult member's ability to engage in rational thought. Since muslim indoctrination begins at birth, they never learn how to think independently or rationally. Islamic indoctrination is a life-long experience, constantly reinforced in the mosques and Islamic schools. So the most common techniques would not work on muslims because their slates are blank beyond Islam.
But the technology to deprogram muslims does exist, and it could be done slowly, painlessly, and without their knowledge. They would simply wake up one day and find Islam utterly repugnant. Someone with lots of money, connections, and ambition should give it a try. It might be worth the Nobel Peace Prize. Whatever direction muslims chose after renouncing Islam would have to be an improvement.
But alas, I suppose such skullduggery would be considered "unethical."
Since the Patriot Act was implemented, the Banks are still not following proper procedures. Charity and Foundation and Relief accounts continue to be opened at various banks across the United States. These accounts are not being monitored. Meaning: money laundering: deposits via money (wire transfers : in and out of account), large checks for deposit, waiting for the hold to come off (then wiring money out or obtaining cashiers checks: to launder the money of the initial check(s), cash deposits under ten thousand at one bank, yet has another account at the same bank (different office), and deposits more money (so not to be suspicious of laundering money). A new account could open with $100.00 and the same or next day (or two days, etc), a large sum of $'s is wired in, and then immediately, wired out. The banks are not strongly enforcing what should and should not be done. And of course, there is a hot list of individuals, so there is always a front, a cover for the hot one, so the process can continue! I am disgusted!
