Amazing but hardly surprising. We keep tripping over the same stone: Saudi Arabia is not our friend yet their agents are everywhere in America. We know they support those that would kill and enslave us, yet they are still here, insinuated in all aspects of American life.

The most striking living proof that American double agents can be planted in the al Qaeda terror network is not to be found in Guantanamo or in East Afghanistan, which US, Australia, Norwegian, New Zealand and British Royal Marine troops are currently scouring for al Qaeda and Taliban pockets. That proof is to be found in Manhattan, not far from the ruins of the WorldTradeCenter, in a cell of a jail that also holds Ramzi Yousuf and the Blind Sheikh Rahman referred to by Condoleezza Rice.

He is an Egyptian with US citizenship called Ali Muhammad.

Although the US media have poured out many words on this man – the most extensive report appeared in the New York Times on June 5, 1999 – the American public knows very little about him.

Very briefly, in the 1970s, Ali Muhammad was an Egyptian military intelligence officer who as part of his duties cultivated close relations with Egyptian radical Muslim elements. After President Anwar Sadat was murdered, Muhammad turned out to have been well acquainted with the plot’s conspirators and assassins, including the Blind Sheikh.

In September 1985, Muhammad wangled admission into the United States over a CIA veto. After running him as a double agent for four years, the CIA and FBI decided to oppose his entry to the US. Nonetheless, the Egyptian ex-intelligence officer gained entrance. In fact, he was quickly accepted in the US army, where he carved out one of the most bizarre military careers in that army’s history.

From FortBragg, although only a sergeant, he came and went as he pleased, his commanders reporting they had no control over his movements. During his disappearances, he sometimes traveled to Afghanistan and fought the Russian army alongside the Afghan mujaheddin; at others, he stayed in New York and drilled Muslim terrorist groups, some of whose members later took part in the first attack on the TwinTowers in 1993.

In November 1989, after being awarded American citizenship – again over CIA objections - Ali Muhammad resigned from the US army and devoted himself full time to al Qaeda, as one of Osama bin Laden’s senior operations officers.

The recent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have focused considerable media attention on foreign-born members of the United States armed forces. This Spotlight uses data provided by the Defense Manpower Data Center within the Department of Defense to examine some of the characteristics of this unique immigrant population.

The foreign born in the armed forces represent approximately five percent of the total on active duty.
Most of the foreign born serving in the armed forces are in the Navy.

Over 11,000 foreign-born women are serving in the armed forces.

As of April 2003, there were 68,826 foreign-born individuals serving in the armed forces of the United States. This figure includes both naturalized citizens and non-citizens.

I feel sick after reading myself through this. The FBI and the CIA together with the big wigs ins government are either totally incompetent or oblivious to what goes on (or both) and perhaps the boy scouts would do a better job if we put them in charge.

What was it about the World Trade Center that attracted Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaida killers – not once but twice? And why attack the Pentagon? And why was one of the skyjacked planes headed toward another Washington target, possibly the White House or the Capitol Building?

Why? Because they're more than inviting targets; they're highly visible symbols of American life. They represent free enterprise and our successful commerce throughout the world; they represent our supreme military might; and they represent our free democratic government, the envy – and fear – of the rest of the world. Some of our own top leaders have referred to Osama bin Laden as a "worthy adversary," a "brilliant strategist" and "the most dangerous enemy in the world." From his dank cave in Northern Afghanistan (or more likely a sumptuous air-conditioned apartment in Pakistan, provided by Saudi Arabian friends) he orchestrated a fiendishly effective campaign to hit America where we live – not just to attack our people, but our precious symbols.
Enter his twin in attacking America's symbols, one Michael Newdow, the atheist lawyer from San Francisco. While Osama and al-Qaida attack our physical symbols, Michael Newdow is busy attacking with all his ferocious bile the precious symbols of our religious freedoms and our freedom of expression.
Although these freedoms are guaranteed in the First Amendment, Newdow cleverly quotes only the first part, "Congress shall make no laws respecting the establishment of religion," and attacks the two words "under God" in our Pledge of Allegiance"; in God we trust" in our currency; our national motto, "One Nation Under God" – and most recently walked the streets of Washington, importuning at least two Supreme Court justices, trying to suborn them into preventing the prayer of a minister in the inauguration or any mention by the President of God in the inaugural proceedings!
And of course he never mentions the next phrase in the First Amendment: "nor restricting the free exercise thereof." As a trained lawyer, he selects only passages that he feels support his assault, and conveniently leaves out those that refute him.
And what Osama is still conniving to do from without, Newdow is energetically campaigning to do from within. It's not enough for him that neither he nor any other nonbeliever is constrained to say the Pledge as we have been saying it since 1954, and which President Eisenhower and both houses of Congress approved at the will of the American people in 1954.
That's not enough for him. He is so blinded by his evil rage that he says, in effect, that he is offended by any mention of God in public life, so you 260 million Americans shut up!
I so wish I could obtain H. G. Wells' time machine and transport Newdow back to Thomas Jefferson's second inauguration, and let him hear the man who coined the phrase "separation of church and state" not just refer to God in his acceptance speech, but actually write and publish a national prayer in 1804, as president, imploring the blessings of God and expressing his dependence on the Son of God, Jesus.
And let him also be reminded that, for years after the ink was dry on the Bill of Rights and the Constitution itself, the oath of office in a number of our states still required newly elected officials to express their belief and dependence on "God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit." And while that was eventually declared unconstitutional, and rightly so, it was only because some new office holders didn't believe those things, and objected to having to profess them.
Nobody is requiring Newdow or anyone else to say things they don't believe. So his vicious and unrelenting attacks have another motive. And it's the same as Osama bin Laden's. It is the tearing down and destruction of the very symbols of America's greatness, her DNA, those distinctive traits and practices that have lent us our strength and national identity.
He keeps claiming that he "loves this country" and the Constitution and only wants to defend "equality." What's equal about silencing 260 million Americans who want to retain these symbols because he and a pitiful few others don't like them?
He has been spouting his atheistic beliefs (and I confronted him with the fact that his atheism is a faith system, built on the premise that there is no God, which can't be proved, versus faith in God, for which evidence exists everywhere) on all the cable and news programs, but doesn't want the rest of us to express our faith even in hallowed institutions like the inauguration!
Newdow doesn't like what America has been for over 200 years and wants to deface and erase all open expressions of faith in God. Osama hates us and calls us "infidels" and worse because we acknowledge a different God than he does.
I try to read Edward Everett Hale's classic, "A Man Without a Country," every year. I wish every American would do the same. In this wonderful short novella, a young lieutenant has been convicted of treason against his country and when asked to make his final statement, he exclaims loudly in the court: "Damn the United States! I wish I might never hear of her again!"
In the stunned silence that follows his outburst, the judge quietly sentences him to that very thing. He is remanded to a ship at sea, and strict orders are given that he never be able to hear the name America or discuss with anyone the United States for the rest of his life. And that sentence is carried out.
I and most Americans would urge Michael Newdow to join his brother Osama, wherever he is, and we will happily buy his first-class ticket. He needs to be with others who think like he does. I think we would far rather contend with people like these two and their vicious attacks on America and her symbols and not have them coming at us from our more vulnerable underside, from within.

This article is further proof that Islam's law of employing deceit to weaken and demoralize the infidel with the ultimate goal of imposing Islam upon non-Muslims is to be taken with the utmost seriousness. Commander King is about three months younger than I; both born in 1950. We both entered the U.S. Navy as enlisted men in 1968.

I am a white man who was born in the United States.

CDR King is a black man who was born in Guyana and emigrated to New York as a young teen, with his mother, after his father was murdered back home.

I was satisfied with my enlisted status; he chose a more challenging career path, and was commissioned from the enlisted ranks.

I met him twenty years ago when he was a Lieutenant and I was a Chief Petty Officer. He was the Aircraft Maintenance Officer at our Command, and I was his Maintenance Chief.

He was one of the finest men I've ever worked for, and I respected him without question.

Let's not cast hysterical aspersions upon immigrants, without justified cause. I would have to say, most of the immigrants I served with during my twenty one years of military service were 'head and shoulders' above many of our native born.

Let's not forget, the Walker/Whittaker crowd were, I believe, Americans by birth.

We're not casting "hysterical aspersions" on immigrants. We are expressing valid concerns about muslims infiltrating our armed services and government. Devout muslims cannot be loyal to a nation. Their loyalty is to Islam and the ummah, and the ummah is spread througout the world. Islam teaches that the entire world rightfully belongs to muslims and must be entirely Islamic. That is their goal---an Islamic earth ruled by Islamic law, Shariah.
If we continue to allow these treacherous demons to infiltrate our country and our institutions, treating them like "ordinary" people, which they are not and will never be, the conseqences of our stupidity and naivete will be devastating. We have recklessly allowed millions of volatile timebombs to invade our country, our military, and our government. I use the word "we" loosely; I would remove every muslim from America tomorrow if I could.

I'm well fairly well versed in the worldwide intentions of devout Muslims, and have monitored JW/DW on a daily basis for several months now.

No offense intended, but would you remove even American born Muslim kids--knowing that they are American citizens who were born into Muslim families.

As a rebellious Catholic kid, I did eat red meat on Fridays, and committe a variety of other minor sins. My parents' religion was just that--theirs.

I suspect that quite a few second, and subsequent generation American Muslims are less devout than their ancestors. They have cable T.V., just like I do.

I think we should concentrate our efforts on confronting troublemaking Islamic 'scholars' and religious leaders, and on educating the American public (and by association, the general American Muslim community) about the threat and unacceptability of Islamist behavior in the U.S.A.

The people who complain about foreign-born soldiers in the US forces seem to forget the name of one foreign-born American soldier: Colin Powell, born in a British colony (I believe Jamaica), ended his career as four-star general and Secretary of State. You may question some of his decision, but anyone who questions the loyalty of his likes deserves to be mailed straight to the nearest madhouse. The armies of most advanced nations have served, among other things, to confer nationality, right from the days of the Roman Empire. Britain has the Gurkhas, France the Foreign Legion, both bodies of undisputed loyalty and courage. Stop being hysterical.

Yea and with the ms13 crowd it shows to be a real threat? Think of all the Spanish speaking am radio stations around the country are they being monitored how do we know they are not sending messages to their MONSTERS?? Remember we Know that many of the Islamic Terrorist speak Spanish??

I agree that the vitriolic imams and mullahs should be not only confronted, but DEPORTED IMMEDIATELY. They are responsible for 90% of the hate that is promulgated worldwide against non-muslims. They virtually CONTROL muslim minds. The invective emanating from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Palestine, Iran and other Islamic hellholes is absolutely malevolent, yet we continue to give these countries billions of dollars of OUR MONEY every year. We reward them for teaching their citizens to hate us and wage war against us.

Second or third generation muslims may be less radical than their parents, but there is no guarantee. Remember, many of these muslims are educated in Islamic schools, all of which include courses on Islamic superiority and compulsory hate for the West. Explain the situation in Europe, which has been importing millions of muslims for over thirty years. It is the young generation there that is the most radical, thanks in part to what they learn in mosques from foreign clerics, who are sent there for the explicit purpose of radicalizing them. To some, the suggestion that there is a world-wide Islamic conspiracy to take over the West is utterly ludicrous. To me, it is obvious.

My paternal grandparents were immigrants. I have no grudge against immigrants, except the illegal hordes that are coming here from Mexico, some of whom are not Mexicans. It is ridiculous for us to fight foreign wars against Islamic fanatics while simultaneously accepting them as immigrants.
Until we sort out just who is and who isn't a jihadist or a radical muslim, there should be a moratorium on muslim immigration.

Those in the country temporarily, or illegally, should be dealt with from a Department of Homeland Defense perspective. That could include deportation.

But where would you deport native-born American Muslims to?

My wife is an immigrant, from a mostly Christian nation. And a naturalized U.S. citizen. Will she be next on someone's deportation jihad, because THEY can't tell what she's thinking?
