GENEVA, February 19, 2005 (IslamOnline.net) – A Swiss think-tank has recommended teaching Islam in schools as it helps the second and third generation of the Muslim community integrate into society.The Swiss Academy for Development (SAD) cited in a recent study the success story of teaching Islam in schools in the two cities of Kriens and Ebikon, central Switzerland, in the 2002/03 school year.
“The results of the experience exceeded all expectations and showed a positive feedback,” said the study, released on February 15.
“It can serve as a model for all cities across the country. Such schools encourage Muslim students adhere to their identity as they learn their religion in the languages used in the country,” it added, referring to the four official languages German, French, Italian and Romansch.
The Swiss have already strangled immigration in their country anyway. What they want is money from Muslim depositors. This is meant for the ears of rich Muslims in the Gulf, not for poor Muslims in Berne or Zurich - if they are there at all.
Nohting in Switzerland makes sense without the financial industry. Prussia was said to be not a country with an army, but an army in possession of a country; Switzerland is not a country that has banks, it is a bunch of banks with a small territory to cover them. Every corrupt politician, fraudster, and mafioso, in Europe, and all sorts of oil ministers and intermediaries in the Arab world, have long valued Switzerland's traditional honesty and confidentiality.
I recently found out that in Russian schools 6 years of English is standard curriculuum and I thought how ridiculous that would be then while learning some Arabic it hit me like a ton o' bricks that the reason I try and learn about the Middle-East is to stay in step and learn what they are doing.If they go to College it is another 4 years of English.They can understand our language where we mostly can not understand them.
Did the Cold war actually end or did it just fade into the sunset?
If the Swiss Protestant churches still had any gumption they'd require, in the Protestant cantons at least, that the students--from any background--learn Christianity.
Brilliant! So any chance of Muslim kids being freed from total indoctrination into a backward, hateful, intolerant death cult, gets wiped out by these idiots in this so-called "think"-tank. We might have had kids who escaped from the bondage of Islam, kids whose parents perhaps weren't very strict Muslims, kids who might also have escaped the clutches of some Saudi-funded cleric at the local mosque, kids who might have had a chance to be normal. But no, we don't want that. No, we want to make sure they stay Islamic, through and through. The state will ensure that. This is unbelievable. I shake my head in disbelief. Idiots!
