February 24, 2005 — Three members of an alleged ring accused of attempting to sell fake immigration documents to Iranian nationals pleaded guilty in federal court to various counts of fraud and identity theft.Port Isabel residents Roberto Aburto, his wife Azalia Gaona, Miriam Palestina and Rutilio Marquez are accused taking $1,050 to make fake Social Security cards and green cards in August for three Iranian men.
Aburto, 31, Gaona, 27, and Palestina, 26, were arrested during two Sept. 9 raids in Port Isabel, but Marquez remains at large and is presumed to have fled to Mexico.
According to federal court records, the ring’s activities had been monitored by the U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement and the Social Security Administration as part of an ongoing investigation.
Between Aug. 2 and Sept. 9, the group allegedly agreed to make nine sets of fake Social Security cards and green cards for undercover agents for $2,770.
With their own countrymen stabbing them in the back , is their any wonder islamic jihad has got a foothold in America???

Very poignient Rikki,people do make mistakes its how you cope with them that matters and learn that experience is the best teacher is quite painful an experience but we do continue on.

Please, folks, the postmodernists have done it again; they succeeded a long time ago in turning "capitalism" into a euphemism for "fraud," "mean-spiritedness," "dog-eat-dog," and dozens of other like terms.
Capitalism is none of these things. "Capitalism" is a social system based on the recognition of individual rights, including property rights, in which all property is privately owned.
It is a social system where all human relationships are voluntary, where people are free to deal with each other nor not, by means of persuasion, discussion, and contractual agreement, by voluntary choice and to mutual benefit.
In a free society, there will certainly be those who engage in fraud, deception, and the initiation of physical force (those are the means by which individual rights are violated).
In a less free society, a mixed one, the violations of rights via fraud etc. increase, and in a totalitarian society, they max out--the government itself becomes the worst offender.
This is another, but expected, grave mistake of our government-run schools--the villification of capitalism, so that the knee-jerk emotional response will be "that is a bad thing." It is a major component of the Left's plan to destroy America, and convert it into a collectivist, eventually totalitarian, country.

In being explicitly non-utopian, it may just be that the free-market system has reached a point where steady state capitalism is conceivable, even possible. Who knows whether bush's gamble of open societies ( a euphemism for free market democracies) will payoff in the war against jihad? If the gamble does payoff, it'll be the most human world war ever won!

These people are recent immigrants. One has what I might be an Arabic name. They may be legal or illegal. Y'all would be shocked how many legal immigrants are in the illegal immigration business. Many legal immigrants evade taxes in their all (or part) cash businesses such as 7-11s, gas stations, restaurants, food carts, bodegas, taxis, limousines. They see all this stuff on TV, they see Americans living large, and they want the same. By hook or by crook.

In Canada our system is insane,anybody from the 6.4 billion people outside of Canada can come here and file a bogus refugee claim and spend as much as the recent case in the news of man here

of Immigration was interviewed on TV and when asked about people with forged papers claiming to be a "True refugee",the response was that legitimate refugees have to use forged papers to leave their Country and the Red Cross advised Canada of this method for filtering True-Refugees.
Canada now has about 36,000 refugees that were denied a claim for criminal or terrorism reasons
but were never ordered to report that they left the Country,Canada doesn't have a Exit-Policy
to monitor transients.
To make it worse Islamic Lawyers are fight the Government to remove the Citizenship Act that allows for revoking it for unreported terrorist activity or past criminal records for war-crimes
