From "Profile of Terror" by Evan D. McCormick in FrontPage, with thanks to EPG:
It seems that being formally exposed as a terrorist support group by U.S. senators hasn’t fazed the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). In the first weeks of 2005, the same organization excoriated by Senator Charles Schumer for having “intimate links with Hamas” was once again rallying support in the press for American Muslims whose civil rights allegedly were violated by U.S. counterterrorism officials. The victims: a group of 40 Muslims – some of them American citizens – crossing the Canadian border on their way back from a weekend in Toronto, where they attended a conference titled “Reviving the Islamic Spirit” (RIS). Their grievance: being held at the border for six hours and singled out for questioning and fingerprinting by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents solely (they allege) on the basis of their religion. Homeland Security officials claim they acted on specific information regarding terrorist involvement at conferences like RIS, but CAIR shrugged off the explanation as a cover story for racial and religious profiling, and called for a “formal investigation.”...
As federal officials firmly stood their ground following the incident, articles in the press decrying the controversy and publicizing CAIR’s demands for an investigation continued throughout January. In early February, DOJ officials promised to meet, within the next two months, with members of the Western New York Chapter of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) to hear their concerns over the incident.
This sequence of events gives an all-too-familiar insight into the political strategy of radical Islamist groups. First, CAIR or another of its Islamist kin complains loudly to the media regarding an alleged violation of civil rights. Sympathetic media outlets then report the claims, with little scrutiny of who is making them and why. Federal agencies, anxious to avoid embarrassment over the contentious issue of civil liberties, then agree to meet with the leaders of these groups, who air concerns and offer policy advice that would supposedly make the War on Terror more amenable to the American Muslims they claim to represent....
Since September 11, 2001, for example, no fewer than three CAIR officials – Randall Todd Royer, Ghassan Elashi and Bassem Khafagi – have been found guilty on charges related to major counterterrorism investigations. Royer, a former communications specialist with CAIR, was charged with providing material support to al-Qaeda. Nihad Awad has stated, “I am in support of the Hamas movement.” Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper has defended Saudi financial aid given to families of suicide bombers. At a congressional hearing marking the second anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Senator Richard Durbin stated that CAIR is “unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its associations with groups that are suspect.”
MPAC, whose officials will soon be meeting with DHS agents in New York, has defended Hezbollah and lobbied against the designation of the group, along with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, as terrorists. MPAC, which also collects reports of hate crimes via its Web site, actively discourages Muslims from cooperating with anti-terrorism investigations. It is also interesting to note that MPAC’s Western New York Chapter was until 2004 a regional affiliate of the American Muslim Council, whose leader, Abdurahman Alamoudi, is now serving a 23-year prison sentence for conducting financial dealings with Libya aimed at assassinating the Saudi crown prince.
When groups that voice support for Hamas and Hezbollah and have employed alleged associates of al-Qaeda are meeting with Homeland Security officials in charge of protecting our borders, it can no longer be considered community outreach; it is subversion.
What Must Be Done
The solution is simple. Federal agencies must cease to meet with officials from Islamist organizations known to be affiliated financially, materially or ideologically with identified terrorist groups.
One would think that this sort of point would be obvious to everyone. Unfortunately, it seems to elude almost everyone in Washington.
Sooner or later, my friends, you are going to have to come to the conclusion that your leaders are in fact dhimmis. The GOP is playing you like a Stradivarius.
"Sooner or later, my friends, you are going to have to come to the conclusion that your leaders are in fact dhimmis. The GOP is playing you like a Stradivarius."
I came to that conclusion a long time ago. Unfortunately, the dhimmitude is prevalent across all political spectrums of the government.
No doubt Bush is a Saudi boot-lackey, but the democrats hardy miss any opportunity to play the dhimmi themselves. The left is often an unwitting champion of the subtle islamification of America in the name of 'diversity' and 'multi-culturalism'.
Maybe a "National CAIR Day" is warranted. Not to honor, but to continue to expose them for what they stand for to those who are unaware of their true measure.
Perhaps all sites such as JW/DW, FPM, LGF, FFI and the hundreds of others can do something simultaneously, all in one day or one week. Send every mainstream media outlet mass e-mails asking them why they continue to listen to this organization. Like in football, the blitz is very effective, and extremely disruptive to any offense.
Neither side of our Govt. is worth diddly doo. It's all about oil and the economy, the dollar and its worth. Dems and GOP alike are not looking out for us, and no one should fool themselves into thinking they give one shit about any of us.
A collection should be taken, so advertising can be bought, for the purpose of exposing these Muslim liars on a national scale. The Government sure as hell won't do anything about it. This New World Order I keep hearing about requires the elimination of all national borders. Perhaps that's why many in the Govt. do nothing about the sludge creeping in through Mexico.
kj, I do agree with you to an extent. I just see the alternative- democrats- to be far, Far worse. We'll take the devil we know, ie, the current situation- until we can force a change to it.
Poor Muslims....they're lucky they didn't end up in Gitmo.
Not meaning to be argumentative, but don't we need a good economy and oil to survive?
DCWatson, You are onto something here. That's the best idea I've seen so far on how to get things really noticed and not just shoved under the rug.
This incident was mentioned by a CAIR rep at a news conference yesterday broadcast on C-SPAN, the topic of which was the impact of the 9/11 Report on American Muslims.
One speaker, a Muslim and mother of a 9/11 victim, tossed out the usual non sequitur [at 22:30 on video], "Islam and terrorism are not synonymous. They are as much synonymous as Christianity and Hitler, Christianity and Naziism, Timothy McVeigh and Christianity. Why don't we hear those words? When people of other faith commit a terrorist act, and their faith is not mentioned."
Of course, to the rest of us this is no mystery at all. Neither Hitler nor McVeigh committed his crimes in the name of Christianity. Not only do all Muslim terrorists commit their crimes in the name of Allah, but they are often supported by a cheering crowd and worse, tacit approval or "understanding" by their fellow believers.
Here's their report http://www.ccmo-911report.net

I'll second that. It's time to contact Susanb and have her set up an "events section" under which all of us can organize and concentrate our efforts to exposing CAIR on a specific week (How about the week of 9/11?).
RIslander,
Certainly we need a good economy to survive and unfortunately much of our economy runs on oil. However, we can certainly make changes to reduce our reliance on oil, particularly Middle Eastern oil. Granted changing our economy to use less oil is going to take a long time but think how far along we would be right now if we would have started this change in the late 70's. I am lucky to be able to purchase electricity that is 100% wind generated.
Not meaning to be argumentative, but don't we need a good economy and oil to survive?
Posted by: RIslander at February 15, 2005 11:34 AM
I'd like to say we don't, but we use over what, 20 million barrels of oil a day in the US. And if the dollar becomes useless, we become poor. Given the choice between living and existing, I'll pick living. The US is being handed away and is being converted into a third world dumping ground.
We need oil, or at least another source of energy to survive. I'd love to see our Govt. demand some oil from Vincente shit Fox down in Mexico for all we do for them, since right now we get nothing but problems from them. Or, simply tell the Saudi troublemakers that they're going to sell the oil WE refine for them at a fair price, or we'll simply take it from them and they'll be paid nothing.
The lousy excuses for human beings deserve it, since they fill Mosques in America with hate filled literature....Damn, what a waste our Government has turned into.
Fox 1: We cannot pull this off, we need the help from all of these ballsey Website Directors to get together and load up on CAIR at the same time.
Blogs and talk radio is where most people are obtaining their news these days. But we simply cannot do it without the website directors. Frontpagemag.com, Jihad Watch/Dhimmi Watch, Faith Freedom, Worldnetdaily, Anti-CAIR, Maybe Drudge, I don't know. The Website directors are the key to this.
Robert, what do you think? Can we perhaps do something like this? It would be unique and original. You guys have alot of power standing alone, imagine of all of the sites linked with this one along with a few more all got together at the same time. I'm not for giving CAIR any publicity, but they've earned full exposure.
For what it's worth, I'll be happy to use my web site www.terrorists-suck.org.
KJ and Belisarius:
If Bush is indeed such a boot-licker to the Saudis, could you explain why he invaded Iraq despite an enourmous amount of Saudi pressure to demure?
Very few regimes work as hard as that of Saudi Arabia to actively undermine the West, and in particular the United States. As an avid JW reader yourself Waterdragon, I’m sure I don’t need to convince you of the many ways Saudi money and ideology are used to promote islam and attack the West. The problem is, the Saudis behind the islamic exports are the same ones that Bush considers friends. Bush has plenty of harsh words for Iran, but only praise for Saudi Arabia. They’re both totalitarian muslim theocracies. The only difference is that the Saudis hide behind a thin façade of friendship for the sake of their oil business. Bush strengthens that façade and nourishes it every chance he gets. He’s selling out his people for $$$, and it makes me sick.
And don’t give me the ‘he’s keeping his enemies closer’ garbage. As good muslims, the Saudis certainly don’t befriend infidels.
I fully believe that the islamists have more to fear from the politcal right, than the left at this time. However, that doesn't excuse Bush from being, yes, a Saudi boot-licker.
"If Bush is indeed such a boot-licker to the Saudis, could you explain why he invaded Iraq despite an enourmous amount of Saudi pressure to demure?"
Well obviously, Bush invaded Iraq because of the imminent threat posed by the possession of WMD of Sadam Hussein. Or was it to unseat a brutal dictator and spread 'freedom and democracy' in the Middle East? Or perhaps it was to use American lives and money to replace a totalitarian regime with a sharia state? As Hugh pointed out before, democracy in Iraq doesn't mean 'freedom', it means islam.
Maybe you shouldn't use Iraq as an example of Bush's stance against islam...
About the GOP thing, I will vote for my 2nd amendment rights every time. Kerry and company are hot to take our guns. If we are disarmed we will really be sitting ducks.
It would take a constitutional change to override the second amendment. The republicans can’t get one in there defining marriage when they’re in control of Congress, so it’s even less likely the democrats would get one altering the second amendment when they’re in the minority. I wouldn’t worry too much about your guns being taken away.
I would worry about your president, and other government officials, getting cozy with the likes of Saudi Arabia and CAIR. Bush may have got your vote, but whose interests does he serve?
We can too pull off a demonstration on our own.
Pick a date, some time when the weather is better across the land, and let's do it regardless of who says it can't be done. Yes, it'll be far better if the organizers of sites like Spencer's help out, but in truth, leaders only go where the rest of us push them. DCWatson has the best idea in ages, above, and we'd be fools to let it slip away. Let's act on it, plan for it, organize it, and make it happen regardless.
We are the media, and we can put the message on the streets and in the communities in a dayfar better than can the New York Times. Pick a date, pick a time.
What to do while we demonstrate? Mike produced a fine hand-out detailing clearly the menace that is CAIR, and we can pass it out to passers-by. We do not have to be passive in the face of Islamic aggression.
When we decide to move, our leaders will lead us. That's what they're there for: To lead. We have to make the effort to move so they can lead. If we pick a time to demonstrate against CAIR, Spencer will have some reason to put his energies into leading. We can't demand that he do that for us until we have the numbers and the determination to make sure we act on our own.
Sign me up. What day do I go onto the street and pass out Mike's hand-out on CAIR?

The problem starts and ends with the liberal democrat news media.
Infidel: That's a good looking site you have there! Rock on!
So, let's pick a date and work on transforming the nation by our own efforts. Claiming that the rest of the world hates us isn't making anything better. Set a date for a demonstration against CAIR and for freedom and equality for all people, Moslems and the rest of the world's population alike, and let's go out into the community and hand out leaflets and hand-bills.
The problem doesn't begin and end with the liberal democrat news media, it begins and ends with our dedication to working to make things happen. Let's march. Quit complaining. Organize.
My last comment on the left-right thing. (I do not like to even speak of the subject here because our anti-jihad message is diluted by these endless arguments) I only wish it would take a change to our constitution to eliminate our second amendment rights, but looking at recent history... our Supreme Court has caused considerable damage to the freedoms we enjoyed just a mere fifty years ago.
"The beauty of the second amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it." Thomas Jefferson
Why our Federal officials meet with CAIR is troubling, whatever the reason may be. What is MOST important however is that the citizens of the United States of ALL denominations act together and OFFICIALLY list CAIR as a terrorist organization and prosecute everyone connected with it. And by 'with it' I mean even the Federal officials who clandestinely meet with CAIR members behind our backs.
Islam is conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit genocide--Islam is actually EVEN WORSE than terrorism. Islam will sooner or later make the transition from 'terrorism' to genocide, yes even here in the United States--its history is the bloodiest in the history of mankind, there are Holy Wars all over the globe and have been for over thirteen hundred years. Please everyone make sure CAIR knows all Americans are aware of Islam's true nature, and step up pressure on our government to act in light of this reality. CAIR and the rest of the Islamic world is banking on the fact that the United States of America is just another 'infidel' nation caving in to Islam's insanities. We must prove them wrong!
We don't CARE for CAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks fox1!
So when do we hit the streets and pass out hand-bill on CAIR? Mike did a great job that will stand up to scrutiny. We can pass them out to those who want them. When do we want to do that?
Who knows what CAIR is about? It's not the average man on the street. He thinks Islam is a religion of peace. Why does he think that? Because CAIR is out on the strets and in the news, and we ain't.
So when do we hit the streets? What date and what time?
hello all; just wanted to a share a site with you called citizen soldier. received some pamphlets and a small book called "allah is not god" in the u.s. mail today free of charge....i'll have to read first and get back to you
Infidel, Hugh, Susanb, Robert Spencer, Sonofwalker:
You need my song: "The winds of Jihad" I recorded it between X-mas and New Years as "Sheik Yer'mami" and everyone who's heard it is 'blown away!"
The radio stations won't play it here in Australia because it's too 'controversial' and the producers tell me 'it would be a hit - if I would only change the words to be more PeeCee'...Bullshit, NO WAY!
I'll stick with it the way it is:
Exactly what you want, what we all need, it's all in my song! Infidel, do you want to host it on your website? you got it! Robert, how can I get it to you? There must be some secure way to communicate. Let's do it, don't waste time!
contact me and I'll get it to you wherever you want it!
Terminator:
Contact Charles Johnson at littlegreenfootballs.com. about your song. I am DYING to hear it!

Terminator,
I'd love to host your song on my web site! Do you have it in a MP3 format? If so, you can try emailing it to me at kafir@terrorists-suck.org. I am not sure what the size limit on email attachments is so if it bounces send me an email and we can figure out another way to get it to me.
Thanks!
Here's two notices by CAIR and one is an attack on a Jewish owned Media outlet that they want to censor for the FOX "24" show, and the other is a meeting on University Property and the Mediators are from the Muslim-friendly
Government owned Media that still has yet to call the 9/11 hijackers "Saudi Muslims".
The annoying part about "24" is that I watched it and knew it was fiction, yet CAIR USA wants to censor Canadians by implying we're all pre-disposed to hatred and racism and need to be told the show is not based on a real Muslim Family.
Of course,CAIR USA hasn't met the Khadr family that praised the 9/11 hijackers and bragged about their alligence to Osama and Al-Qaeda,Mr.Hooper heads the Council on AMERICAN
Islamic Relations and should keep the hell out of Canada with his bigotry and hatred for non-Muslims.

Tariq Ramadam was the idiot the spoke at the Islamic hatefest in Canada during Christmas, the theme was about Jesus in the Quran and his role as a Prophet. Several Muslims were detained upon returning to America because of a failure to assist Border guards about the nature of the event in the Skydome.
The A/V streaming section has the usual bowing down of the Police and Mayor to fight Islamophobia and racism towards Muslims in Canada. These yahoo's are going to get us killed, appeasing the Islamists didn't work for Spain or the Phillipines,Jihadists want you to be lulled into a sleep and then they'll strike to slaughter thousands and have CAIR print the usual disclaimer that Islam forbids killing the innocence.
Hello All,
Terminator's song, Winds of Jihad, can now be found at http://www.terrorists-suck.org/fight/winds_of_jihad.html.
