"The enemy of my enemy is my friend"... isn't that an Arab proverb? Here is an example. The KKK and Islam hate Jews so much. Yet the KKK also hates Muslims, and the Muslims also hate the KKK (or they should anyway.)

There is nothing new here. Nazi war criminals found refuge in Arab lands; some of them became Muslims. Alois Brunner, in Damascus, helped train the Syrian secret police is special methods. In Cairo, Nasser was delighted to welcome Nazis. And why not? The all-time best-seller in the Arab world -- a best-seller handed out by King Fahd of Saudi Arabia to visiting Westerners -- is "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion." A multi-part television series based on the book's premises was shown recently on Egyptian television.

Those who console themselves, however, with the dreamy idea that Israel (and/or "the Jews") can simply be thrown to the Islamic wolves, and their appetites be sated, rather than whetted, faile to understand the nature of Islam. All non-Muslims are the prey, and l'appetit vient en mangeant. The more of dar al-harb you swallow up (even if you pretend that your target is limited), the more you want of it.

Those who like Systems, and Total Explanations, and Marching Around Together, will find the Nazis or neo-Nazis attractive. But Islam also offers the same delights: the Collective, or Umma, the certainty of purpose and the Total Regulation of Life (and when in doubt, ask the mufti what is haram and what halal), the Clear and Identified Enemy Available for Blame (for Muslims, all non-Muslims).

Islam is by now the vehicle of choice for all the worst cases of malcontents who harbor resentments and need a focus for their hatred. It is the perfect vehicle, for Left and Right, to express one's alienation from society. Communism came out of, was formed by, accepted many of the norms of, Western society. Islam is something that does not even admit the idea of a rational universe, running according to laws that can be studied -- we are all in the hands not so much of an angry, but of a whimsical God, whose main message, if we read Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira, seems to be: conquer the Infidels, do not make friends with Infidels, slay the Unbelievers, wherever you find them. Not a message that admits of much nuance.

It's no surprise that Kreis is calling on foreign terrorists for help in salvaging the floundering Aryan Nations. We have been monitoring Kreis's actions and movements since the recent death of Richard Butler in Idaho. Kreis is a buffoon and a loser.

He is using the media as a recruiting tool to notify little would-be nazis where he is and how to reach him as he tries to restructure his pathetic band of nondescripts.

Kreis and his "Aryan Nations" movement are bankrupt and broke. They are looking for funding and have their hat in their hand reaching out to Al-Qaeda. Not to worry though, even Al-Qaeda would never associate themselves with the likes of Kreis even if they are both arch Jew haters.

The real threat today exists from "Loan Wolf" actions and other groups such as the National Alliance (NA), which incidentally want nothing to do with Kreis. The NA is well funded and has been seeking new members lately by posting large billboards with anti-immigration slogans and their local phone numbers in high traffic areas in Las Vegas and Florida.

There is evidence however of association of other white power groups and domestic radical Islamists in the U.S., most visible in the Pacific Northwest. We also have growing concerns over liaisons between Islamic groups and certain white-power organizations in Western Canada. Cooperation between these groups may become a reality in the near future and there is a real possibility of violent acts against Government and/or Jews and Jewish Property.

We predict that for the short run, the effectiveness of the Aryan Nations as a viable domestic terrorist threat is nil. Be wary however, of the Loan Wolf who may be encouraged by Kreis and others of his ilk, and of activities funded and/or supported by the National Alliance.

That Hitler had Jewish blood is a propaganda myth.

Hitler was a good Catholic boy, his mothers name of Shicklegrubber means nothing. In fact the notion that there are Jewish names is an urban myth (save for a few names like Cohen). The philosopher of the NAZI Party (tried and executed at Neuremberg) was Alfred Rosenberg (his book was The Myth of the 20th Century), and he had no Jewish blood at all.

That aside, there are a lot of Christian anti semites, who are sympathetic to the Muslims (because the Muslims are antisemites) who are not NAZI's, starting with the Presbyterian Church.

And there is a large segment of Christians who believe that Jesus was not a Jew, or that the Jews lost their status as chosen when they rejected Jesus, and are thus sympathetic to the Muslims.

I had an internet conversation on one forum with a Christian Identity type, and I tried to explain to him that he was a kafir to Muslims, quoted some Qur'an and his reply was "that doesn't include me", because h'es not a trinitarian, he believes that Jesus was the son of God, not god, and hundreds of words and Qur'anic quotes could not dissuade him otherwise.

He, and others like him, believe they are safe from dhimmitude, in fact they don't believe there are any dhimmi's in the world anymore. And he won't stand still for an explanation of dhimmitude (especially when our own President has proven to be one).

Bigsleep: About the swastika, ages ago, I was walking down the street in Taipei behind an American tourist couple, and the wife said, "What a horrible country! All the cabbies are Nazis!" The fact of the matter is that the swatsika (wan zi), resting on a flat side, is a sacred symbol in Mahayana Buddhism. Years ago, I also once watched a Shaw Brothers comedy spin-off on _Casablanca_ set in wartime Hong Kong in which two German agents (who are working with the perfidious Japanese) pass a Buddhist temple with a big swastika on it, click their heals, and do the Sieg Heil salute (it was one of the gags).
