Two teachers at an Islamic school in Canada who praised a pupil's essay about killing Jews with hand grenades and machine guns have been suspended for allegedly inciting racial hatred. The pupil, who has not been identified, illustrated his creative writing assignment, which was written in Arabic, by drawing a picture of a Star of David in flames next to a machine gun. He also drew a Palestinian flag on top of the Dome of the Rock mosque in Jerusalem, one of Islam's holiest sites. Claims that the essay was put on display in a glass case at the entrance of the school, in Ottawa, are being investigated.The boy's story told of a fictitious "hero", Ahmed Yassin, born in Gaza two weeks after Israel assassinated Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, a co-founder of the terrorist organisation, Hamas. One passage describes how, watched by a friend called Salah, Ahmed attacks Jewish soldiers with a gun and bombs.
"Without thinking, Ahmed took his M16 machine gun and threw the bombs, and he showered the Jews; this resulted in the killing of the soldiers," the story reads. "Salah said: 'You killed them all.' Ahmed answered: 'Praise be to God'."
At the end of the story, the boy's fictitious heroes say: "We promise God and the heroes of Al-Aqsa that we will continue the path, we will continue in spite of the difficulties and the hardships until the victory of the martyrdom, we will not surrender; we will fight for the sake of God until the end."
The essay drew praise from one of the teachers of Arabic at the Abraar Islamic School, who wrote on the story: "God bless you, your efforts are good. The story of the hero Ahmed and the hero Salah is still alive. The end will be soon when God unites us all in Jerusalem to pray there." The teacher's name has not been released.
It is unclear how long the story was on display before it was brought to the attention of The Ottawa Citizen newspaper, which obtained two translations of the story before confronting the school. The headmistress, Aisha Sherazi, who is originally from Wimbledon, in south-west London, said that the school was "extremely shocked, disturbed and concerned" about the boy's story.
Why hasn't the name of the teacher been released?

I heard on the news right after the story broke that the "teachers" were suspended WITH pay pending an investigation....so they were given a paid holiday for inciting hatred against Jews. The leader of CAIR-can was interviewed during the same story and he assured the interviewer this was an "isolated" incident. Why when muslim has committed a hate crime against another group is it an "isloated incident" and we should just forget it, no need to make a federal case of it...but when anyone so much as breathes a word against islam, or as in the story on JW, dares suggest a muslim woman learn to drive...it is a HUGE deal and it should be on the news 24-7 and the person involved should be prosecuted, hung out to dry and have their entire life ruined. The only thing I don't like about this article is that it uses the word "God" in places where it should use "Allah". This just reinforces the myth that Allah is the god of Old Testament. But God's name is Yahweh---it appears 6868 times in the Old Testament.

Very nice! Personally, I believe that Islam is not fashioned after any human sacrifice cults; rather, it mirrors Muhammad's personality and the nature of the dark spirit that possessed him. He made up the Qur'an to justify all the immoral acts he felt like perpetrating. When he felt like molesting 9-year-old Aisha, he produced a relevant Qur'an Sura; when he felt like committing incest with his son's wife, the same happened. Ditto for raiding peaceful villages, beheading their men, raping their women, and selling their children into slavery to continue financing his band of terrorists. At the time of Muhammad, the Arabs were just pagan, not genocidal. It was Muhammad's influence that corrupted the Arabs to the point where they regarded killing as a moral act.

As I'm sure ala-sux and most of the bloggers here know, Mohammed El-Masry was the guy who said on Canadian TV that all Israelis over the age of 18 were fair targets as they were all eligible for reserve service in the IDF and cried persecution at the hands of the Jewish community when his "candour" on the subject drew criticism far and wide. I thought he was shamed into resigning his lofty post with the CIC, which probably has a paid membership of under 1,000. His CIC pal Wahida has also made some equally egregious pronounciations.
I guess it's tough when the worst El-Masry has to say about what is taught in Jewish schools is factually true and doesn't contain incitement to slaughter people.
I also caught C-CAIR's exec director, who also has a child or children attending the same Ottawa school, speaking to the matter on CBC Radio One. He too was shocked, shocked at the conduct of the teachers, but asked for understanding of the child who was "of Palestinian origins" and probably has family who have suffered under the Occupation. (Naturally, he would have nada to say about the several decades of Arab acts of war and terrorism that led up to the Occupation.

I grow more and more uncomfortable at the thought that all our countries have these Islamic schools. Not long ago I felt that they were like Catholic schools, Hebrew schools, etc., but I have my suspicions now. I do not believe they are the same. If we've got clerics spewing hatred from mosques then it's only logical that teachers in Islamic schools spew the same hatred during the religious components of the curriculum. So these kids who go to these schools have no chance of making up their own minds, or of seeing how everyone tolerates each other in Western countries. No, they're brainwashed to hate us, while living amongst us. No chance of stamping out the threat to our society.
I feel sorry for Jews in Canada. With the rise in Muslim numbers, and the general anti-Semitism due to the trendiness of hating Israel and the US these days, I can't imagine life is all that comfortable for them there anymore.

When I first got around to reading the Koran, a long while back, merely out of human interest in keeping up with the religious mindset of another culture, I honestly expected something like the Old Testament's Ecclesiastes, Micah, Proverbs or the Songs of Solomon, or The Sermon on the Mount in The New Testament, or maybe the Tripitake of the Buddha, or the Tao Te Ching, or Bhagavad Gita, etc.
But, as I read it, I was appalled at the cheesiness, and weird banality, and lack of wisdom in it.
What poetic insight there was, was stolen.
The rest seemed like a schizophrenic repeating things he did not quite understand. Or a someone suffering from a persecution complex who accidentally triumphed over those he feared and hated, and was crowing his manic glee over their corpses.
It stuck me as bizarrely like the 7th century version of those videos that are found hidden in 'secret dungeons' by the police after mass-murderers are captured, wherein they torment their helpless victims, and gloat about their own superiority and brilliance and chosen-ness. Ravings.
Chillingly crazy.
How anyone every 'bought' this stuff, except that a knife was at their neck, is beyond me.
There is nothing to compare intellectually, spiritually, literarily or humanly to the level of The Beatitudes or Psalms or Krishna and Arjuna's dialogues or the Book of the Way, or zen sayings of Mumon, or The Mediations of Marcus Aurelius, or even a decent Tom Paine broadside.

A mosque was unearthed at Hazor,Palestine during the 1950s. It is over 3000 years old.
This is proof that Islam was NOT founded by Muhammed. Incidentally, Muhammed did NOT write the Qur'an, which did not materialize until the 8th century.
If you look at a mosque, observe a spire topped by a crescent moon. Worshipping the moon (or moon-god)has been a practice in the Middle East (and accompanied by human sacrifice practices) since the Sumerians, who date back over 3000 years BC. The Sumerian performed ritualsthat are virtually the same as ones practiced in mosques today.
We may never get the full story on the origins of Islam, but rest assured it does not come from Muhammed, Arabia, or the seventh century. The Arab-Jew conflict you will note is well-documented in the Old testament in a number of parables. Old wine now in a new bottle called Islam, maybe?
