BANGKOK (AFP) - A janitor of a government office was shot and killed in Thailand's predominantly Muslim south, while an elderly rubber tapper was slashed by assailants, police said Thursday. Chai Yongyosying, a 55-year-old Buddhist, was shot by unidentified gunmen who followed him home from work at Yaring district's administrative office in Pattani province Wednesday evening."He was shot twice as he almost arrived home in Ban Leam village ... and pronounced dead at Yaring district hospital at 6:55 pm," police in Yaring said.
In neighbouring Yala province, rubber farmer Sommai Khampanai, 72, was seriously wounded when he was slashed in the head Wednesday, police said. He remained in intensive care.
Police described the attacks as the latest linked to rampaging violence that has left at least 630 people dead and hundreds more wounded.
Authorities blame the unrest -- mostly targeting security officials but including teachers, state workers, civilians and Buddhist monks -- on a separatist insurgency.
Otherwise known as a jihad.
American foreign policy has much to answer for.

Non Muslims to be either killed or terrorized into leaving the territory to Sharia Law.
But islam's a religion of peace? Jihad is really an innner spritual struggle. Besides, Christians kill each other everyday. Why are muslims always singled out when they savagely attack elderly Buddhists! It's a religion of peace damnit! Believe it or else infidel!
The impact of these incidents involving the "religion" of peace from all over the world leaves you with but one conclusion: there is no chance for peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Zoroastrians, animists, atheists, agnostics, etc.
And no use looking back to history for examples of co-existence, to the so-called "golden age" in Spain for instance, when Jews were allowed to live (sometimes). I said co-existence not tolerance as despised, humiliated, heavily taxed inferiors, always at the mercy of Muslims. Turkey, also is often mentioned as a Muslim nation, secularized and tolerant of non-Muslims. There are scores of descendants of Armenian survivors who will disagree with that.
When Muslims are still in the minority, as in the US at present, they will not resort to killing non-Muslims openly as it would bring the wrath of the population down on them. So they play the lying game, whine, complain, wheedle, boast of being "as American as the rest," and bide their time. This is when the tide of Muslim incursion must be stopped! Bush doesn't get it or he is too beholden to his "friends and allies" to do anything about it. The Democrats, liberals, leftists cannot be expected to so anything about it either. Look back at Kerry, his weak "plans" for a weaker foreign policy in unison with France and Germany.
Once Muslims are on their way to becoming the majority as in the parts of Hindu India they are flooding or as in the south of Thailand where Thais were infected with the Islamic disease via the Islamicized Malays, they resort to violence as taught them by the koran.
At this point, only vigorous means to curb further immigration and the tolerance of Muslim demands for special rights must be used. The infestation has already been allowed to proceed too far. Howls of bleeding-heart leftists will attempt to stay any stern measures, examples of this can be seen in India, Israel, Europe, and can be envisioned in the US with its non-existent illegal-immigration policy (and courtesy visas for the Bush family favorites in far-of Araby).
Once Muslims are in the majority, they will impose their law which is barbarous, inhumane, and violent. As non-Muslims have no rights then, they can be dealt with as the arrogant Muslims see fit. I need not repeat the inequality under shariah of non-Muslims.
So, what's to be done? What has been described in the foregoing third and fifth paragraphs must be implemented. With leftist sob-sisters screaming about "human rights," Arab hirelings and buddy-buddies in the government, and the myth of transforming the Islamic world into a paradise of democracies "just like us" being forced down our throats, fat chance that anything will be done--until . . . the rest at this time must still be silence.
