Unlike some in the West who persist in their folly, the Thai government and the people of Thailand are not worrying over "why do they hate us" and "what is is about our foreign policy that we need to change." They know why Muslims are killing Buddhists in southern Thailand. They are doing it for the same reason Muslims are killing Christians in the Sudan and in the Moluccas and in Pakistan and in Lebanon and in Iraq and in Nigeria and in a hundred other places, for the same reason Muslims are killing Hindus in Bangladesh and Pakistan and Indonesia, for the same reason Muslims are killing Jews not only in Israel, but everywhere some Muslim takes it upon himself, at an airline terminal in Los Angeles, on a bridge in New York, on a street in Antwerp or Toronto, in an apartment building or a store in Paris, to put into practice what Islam inculcates, and not only in the textbooks of "Wahhabist extremists."
