Yehuda Avner writes in the Jerusalem Post (thanks to Romy) about a revealing encounter with a veteran British espionage agent:
Carefully combing a few long strands of gray hair over the top of his bald head, he retorted rather ominously: "In this war of ours on Arab terror all our bloody state-of-the-art technology isn't worth a damn farthing. Deploy as much highfalutin satellite surveillance and computer decryption as you like, it won't track down Bin Laden in a month of Sundays. The only way to go after him and his sort is by going back to the most primitive methods of intelligence in the book: personal counter-espionage.""In other words, plain, straight forward, old-fashioned spying," explained Sir Herbert. And then, sardonically, "Allah will not be mocked. He toys around with our clever gadgets and laughs in our faces. Islamists wage their holy war by simply outflanking our technology."
"Precisely," snapped the other fellow. "So what we need are first-class operatives - people who look like them, talk like them, think like them, can infiltrate them, and then eliminate them. Your blokes are champions at that sort of thing."
"My blokes?"
"People of your tribe. Jews are past masters at duplicity. You have any number who can pass convincingly as Muslims. In your Mossad and Shin Bet you have Jews who speak native Arabic and can adopt Islamic disguises at the drop of a hat."
Sir Herbert interjected: "That's how you won the intifada, isn't it? Your intelligence was superb. Through infiltration, dissimulation and deception you got your killer almost every time."
"And that's why we could do with some of your human assets," said Sir Charles wistfully, knocking his liquor back and wiping his chin with the back of his hand. "We need people like yours - types who can pass muster as Arabs, win over their trust, crawl into the insides of their minds, gather hard intelligence. MI6 and the CIA simply don't have enough of them."
"Why not?" I asked.
The MI6 man leaned toward me and in a conspiratorial manner, whispered: "Because our Muslims can't be trusted, that's why. Their first loyalty is to Islam, not to Britain. It's the same in the US."
My host concurred: "Islam poses such a powerful bond over its fellow believers that the problem of recruiting Muslim undercover agents is acute. Walk into a Muslim neighborhood and begin making inquiries about terrorists and you will hit a wall of silence."
Grimly, as if infected with an existential angst, Sir Charles brooded: "We've never had a security problem like this in England before. And it's getting bigger all the time."
As he spoke, a white-coated waiter glided between the armchairs and potted palms, holding up two liquor bottles in a pose of affability, pausing to top up a glass of whiskey here and bestow a drop of brandy there.
Scotch-refueled, the old spy rambled on: "It's not like Northern Ireland during the Troubles, when we could do our undercover work like a fish in water. Even the most diehard Irish Republican nationalist cracked under a little bit of coercion, or the promise of a little cash. But your average Muslim fanatic - he'd rather blow himself up first, and take you with him into the bargain."
Sir Charles' speech was now getting warped with whiskey, and he began to nod off. So for the next 20 minutes Sir Herbert and I talked quietly of other matters, particularly the latest Israel-Palestinian developments. Then we gathered up our belongings, descended to the Athenaeum's exit, and stepped out into the street.
"Good Lord, look at that!" he barked abruptly, halting in his tracks, outraged.
Propped up against the nearby wall of what was once Joachim von Ribbentrop's ambassadorial London residence, an Evening Standard billboard bellowed: "POLICE BUST FINSBURY PARK ARAB TERRORIST CELL."
Sir Herbert, his long aristocratic nose white with resentment, blew out his cheeks and exclaimed, "This is the Battle of Britain Part Two, and it's more insidious than the last. Think about it: western civilization has been locked in an historic war with Islam now for 1,000 years. We had thought we had settled it for good in our favor, thanks to our technological superiority. But look what's going on now. All our modern gadgetry is impotent in face of their fanaticism. So, by George, yes - the MI6 and the CIA could do with a strong infusion of Mossad and Shin Bet savvy. Do me a favor and tell your people that when you get back home."
Yes, they could do with a bit of Shin Bet savvy, but they are too busy selling Israel down the river right now to deserve Israel's help. But then on the other hand, that is probably WHY they are selling Israel out, perhaps they hope that once Israel is erased there will be lots of Arabic speaking Israeli Sephardim (Jew from Arab lands) on the market. But then let's not forget the Americans were REJECTING Arabic speaking Jews who were applying for counter-espionage posts, as reported here on Jihad Watch, recently.
Privately a lot of us know that we are at war, with a fifth column working against us, among us. The problem is public recognition of the fact - but that will come.
I've quoted my late father here on JW before when during the 6 day war he said, if there ever was another war (his was WWII)"we want the Isrealis as our allies and not the b** French." I have great respect for Mossad, and lets think laterally, lets look at Christian refugees from the same area. I met a Lebanese Christian recently in surreal circumstances, there must be many more, and enough of them with the right abilities and temperament.

Sir Herbert Charles is correct in his assessment of the ever pressing totalitarian ideology of Islam. The war against this invasion has to be fought on all fronts and with all manner of weaponry,be it militarily,spying, and physcological warfare.
But the western world has to have the support of a strong belief system in it established foundation of values which is the fuel needed to defend the motherland and western cultures.
Multiculterism is a dangerous path to follow if we continue to bend over backwards in support of other nations ethnicity and value system we will eventually become caught in a quagmire of not knowing who we are or who we where if we keep trying to digest a culture that does not reflect our value sytem.
All of these coments are private, this is the problem, there aren´t braveness, there are dhirmitude.
The book "Our Man In Damascus", about the Israeli spy -who played at being a rich expat Syrian from South America who had come home- and who performed intelligence work against the former dictator Assad, in the 1960's, should be a handbook for all such would-be counter-'Islamic' spies. Both for its successes, and for the human flaws that led to the agent being caught... essentially for staying too long in one place.
You can only 'use' those who pretend to be Muslim, since, as 'Sir Herbert' understands, each believing Muslim is already a de facto spy. For Allah. And the Restored Caliphate.
And about as 'trustworthy' as the soldier in the U.S. military who threw grenades at his own troops- 2 years ago- just as the Iraq War was beginning. Or the 'missing' Marine who staged a phony kidnapping in Iraq last year and has deserted before his trial was to begin. (Sound like the modus operandi any lady Italian communist journalist you've heard of lately?)
The Brits once had 'brown-eyed swarthy men and women' (of Jewish, Italian, Spanish, etc. extraction) who believed in England and would be willing to undertake such a task. I guess they're all gone.
The U.S. may have more possiblities, since there are more 'types' in the states. But it'll take someone who believes in freedom more than video games, instant gratification and creature comforts.
Patriots are harder to find than religious fanatics. One draws on inner reserves, upon historical understanding and a deep love of reason and humanity; the other merely has to think of 72 lubricated virgins waiting on the other side of a suicide belt.
Clearly, it'll be a hard fight.
The smug sense of superiority of Islamic advocates in the West sometimes seems to be puffed up by a silent, self-congratulatory awareness: that they are at war and know they are at war, whereas their enemies, the Infidels, not only do not know war exists, but, even if they did, would be unable to comprehend what that means.

As for his "long aristocratic nose", the Jews were subscribing to the codes of the Torah when Sir Herbert's "tribe" were burning people in wicker cages. Enough of the aristocratic British. I'd rather go with Jackie Mason.

The loyalty of Jews in the anti-jihad war is found unacceptable by the CIA, FBI, and British MI6. The Brits have always preferred Arab Muslims to Jews, when they had the Mandate of Palestine, even during World War II when the Arab Mufti was Hitler's ally, and nowadays they are anti-Israel. The excuse that this is today because of the oil now under Arab control won't wash. Even when the oil was not under Arab control, the Brits were pro-Arab and has no use for Jews.
The CIA, FBI, and the State Department, its Foreign Service that staffs US embassies and connects with the local CIA COS, are partial to Arab Muslims. Saudi money and the culture at the top of the administration contributes to this bent. The anti-Jewish thrust of Islam, pre-dating the re-establishment of a Jewish state, finds a responsive echo in US intelligence and Foreign Service quarters.
Apparently the feeling is that Jews cannot be trusted--whether because of their supposed attachment to Israel or a suspect loyalty. That this perception is erroneous makes no difference.
The condescension with which Jews are regarded by the Brits comes out in the phrases used to describe Jews by the British intelligence "bloke": "past masters at duplicity dissimulation and deception," "[as] people who look like them, talk like them, think like them [Arab Muslims]," etc.
It is ironic that when taqiyya and kitman is brought up as a jihadist technique, the supporters of jihad turn the accusation around, as is their wont, and squawk that lying is not permitted by the koran, that it is the Mossad that uses deception and dissimulation and the Jews who use duplicity. That Jews are not engaged in a jihad to conquer all who do not believe as they do is not mentioned. Neither does the British spy allude to the fact that deception, dissimulation, duplicity are the part of being engaged in successful espionage. No, it is only the Jews who use these methods.
Employing Muslims in US and British intelligence services and declaring again and again that Muslims are loyal citizens, that Islam is only a religion like any other, and that we welcome Muslim immigrants is inviting the enemy to overwhelm us. Are our leaders and intelligence people imbeciles or is there more than meets the eye involved in this practice?

Patterson actually proposed in 1938 to raise a Jewish battalion of 100,000 based on his experiences with Jews in warfare. He was of course turned down and was denied promotion for his efforts.

When I was only seven and a half, my father told me about Colonel John Patterson, DSO, the gentile commander of the Jewish Zion Mule Corps at Gallipoli and later colonel of the Jewish Legion, the Jewish Royal Fusilier Battalions in Palestine in 1918-19.
I got this early history lesson when my Palestine-born father took me to the state funeral in Melbourne of General Sir John Monash, commander of the Australian/New Zealand Army Corps (Anzac) in France between 1917-18.
I was amazed to see two officers wearing tallitim marching before the gun carriage bearing Monash's coffin. They were wartime chaplains Israel Brodie and Jacob Danglow, the latter familiar to me as the rabbi of my family's East St. Kilda shul.
My father told me that Monash, an elderly Jewish militia colonel, had risen to command a brigade at Gallipoli and a division in France before becoming the Anzac corps commander.
After the funeral passed we walked away through a public garden, and encountered a life-size bronze known as Simpson and his Donkey. Simpson, my father explained, was a famed Australian private who had brought wounded men down the bullet-swept slopes of Gallipoli.

Plus, the story is being reported NOT for the local Jewish audience -who already know what the hell is going on- but for the schmucks in the West who are naive schlemiels falling for the global Muslim disinformation campaign about the true tenets of contempt-filled Islam.

I do hope that my earlier comment has not been the cause of offence. Perhaps as an Englishwoman of working class origin my familiarity with the tactlessness of the "Rupert" officer class has breed such contempt (to use the old saying) that it did not seem worthy of mention. To me the main point of the story was the superiority of Israeli operations and our practical and pragmatic job of locating and utilising every skill and resource available.
But I will throw my twopennorth of family history into the pot. As a teenager in 1936 my late father was at Cable Street as part of the anti Mosley demonstration. Later several of his Jewish schoolfriends ended up in the Palestinian regiment. They fought at Alamein - I still have one uncle alive who also fought at Alamein. My Father was in the Fire service during the blitz on the East End. His crew contained Jewish volunteers, conscientious objectors and women. He also knew veterans of the Spanish Civil War. A fire fighting crew has to rely implicitly on each other for their very lives. He would never hear a bad word said against conscientious objectors (a family friend who served in bomb disposal thought the same)and had enormous admiration for what had been achieved in Israel.
But that was then, this is now, and we all have a practical task before us, which will differ from country to country. I see this site, and the related sites as playing a vital role in education, bringing the works of Bat Yeor, Ibn Warraq Mr Spencer etc. to an ever wider audience. Others may have a different role to play.
And another thing -

Some of the commenters here don't appear to appreciate this, but the article written by Mr Avner isn't a literal transcript of an real interview, it's a caricature of how the author thinks the British will respond to the threat.
