The book that National Review Book Service dropped last week after protests from the Council for American Islamic Relations, The Life and Religion of Mohammed by J. L. Menezes, is the top-selling book this week from the Human Events Book Service (scroll down to the "Reader's Top Five" on the lower right).
The other book that CAIR complained about, Sword of the Prophet by Serge Trifkovic, which was dropped and then restored by NR, is #2.
D.C. Watson is having a great time watching CAIR say "Don't"......Because when Americans are told "Don't", they "DO", instead.
We are a defiant bunch, aren't we? Dear Council, please.....keep complaining
Is there a better way to get people to do something than to forbid them to do it? Any parent with teenagers would know this.
CAIR is complaining about facts from the Koran - that others use to share with the world.
If CAIR feels that their rights are being violated because facts from their own Koran are being exposed - then maybe they oughta find a new religion?
Their religion promotes murder:
From their Koran...
009.005 fight and slay the Pagans ''''wherever'''' ye find them
Asking CAIR: Is that command straight from the Koran legal in America? [NO WHERE does it say - Only in self defense - Quite the contrary]
002.216 Fighting is prescribed for you
009.039 Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place.
Now, why should any non-Muslim nation put up with such a religion?
008.067 It is not fitting for a prophet that he should have prisoners of war [slay them] until he hath thoroughly subdued the land. [Treason - in all non-Muslim nations]
Why is America allowing it?
The more the people [we the people] speak up - the more shameful, ridiculous and wicked CAIR looks.
That's the power of the Truth.
CAIR doesn't like the the Truth
Unfortunately, neither of these books will ever be as extensively read as Mein Kampf and the Protocols have been in Arab/Muslim countries.
Since the advent of human life, there has been an inclination towards a higher power. The created know nothing, but the hope of every one of them is everlasting life.
The solution of humankind was the creation of a "universal" system. This system was created to negate the fear of annihilation by handing over the desire of everlasting life to the order of the elite.
These "movers" of society accepted this empowerment and created a system which would maintain their existence while guaranteeing control over their subjects.
As time progressed, the initiatives became dogma, mankind became indoctrinated and the creators became gods. We still serve them to this day.
Good for Terry Jeffries, the editor of Human Events. He has written some very informative pieces on Al-Sistani, the evil looking old cleric in southern Iraq who the US seems to believe is a "moderate." I think that Mr. Jeffries is under no illusions about the Islamic movement.
Perhaps the furious response to NR's behavior has caused some of those involved to reconsider, for the good of the magazine and their own tenure. But such a seemnig demonstration of CAIR's power over NR's policies will not lightly be forgotten nor, should any similar stories emerge (and there are rumors of other kinds of capitulation), will the magazine be indulged quite so readily by its readers, who do not want any sign of weakness when it comes to CAIR.
Seveal questions remain. The first is about Boeing. NR should explain whether anyone from Boeing contacted them, and if so who, and what was said. That is not something that can be passed over in silence.
And since the Menezes book has not been reinstated, surely one question that the NR editors need to be asked is -- why? Have you read the book yourselves before passing such harsh judgment on it?
You haven't? Why not?
As much as I disliked the Nazi regime,at least they had the guts to burn books in public so we could see their faces, these gutless weasels at CAIR use their Lawyers to impose
censorship on non-Muslims.
Why even the Muslim Islamists in Holland
dress as civilians and murder people like theo Van Gogh and make death threats to the politicians that don't agree with them.
But lets remember, they're only emulating their leader that used children to go into battle against un-armed civilian women, children and old men,Muhammed knew it was best to attack the weak or earn their trust before killing them just
like a Piranna does to conserve energy.
I have read NR for close to 40 years, but quit after hearing of their capitulation to CAIR. NR is not your father's Oldsmobile.
OT and very relevant
The sweet words of a muslim are like the honey of the Africanized Honey Bee {killer bee]
Europolitica (available by mail-subscription) reports that inclusion of Muslim Turkey into Europe, will result in up to a 40% Muslim population in France, by 2020. That probably explains why the French Secular remnants are being polled in majority opposition to free entry of Eastern savages into the Republic. Is there hope for the Gallic surrender entity?
Ce que les partisans du Oui et de l'entrée de la Turquie dans l'Europe ne vous disent pas, et c'est la raison pour laquelle ils peuvent bien évidemment soutenir le projet de constitution européenne sans crainte, c'est que plus tard aura lieu le référendum, mieux cela sera pour eux, puisque s'il a lieu dans 15 ans, donc en 2020, ils sont simplement assurés démographiquement que le "oui à la Turquie" sera vainqueur: petit calcul le démontrant;
Yes Smokem
it matters not that Turkey is rejected today as demographics will ensure it is selected tommorrow.
Ainsi soit il!
In the forum at http://www.mejliss.com/, (the primary web forum for French muslims) the thread on the EU constitution suggests that most muslims are encouraged to vote no to the new EU constitution. In fact a no vote will go a long in preventing Turkey joining the EU and therefore is a welcome development. This is explained a little clearer by Philippe de Villiers here http://www.occidentalis.com/article.php?sid=2034&thold=0
I can post a translation a little later should anyone be interested.
May 29th is the date set for the EU constitution referendum in France and is also the date of the fall of Constantinople in 1453. This highly symbolic date may be the date for a turnaround in the Eurabian mentality. The French will vote no mainly because their socialist minds cannot cope with the idea of competition from the dynamic new arrivals in former eastern block. For once they can be our useful idiots in preventing the islamicisation of Europe. Another postive sign is the huge effect the demise of Pope John Paul has had in Europe. There are said to be around 5 million pilgrims in Rome at the moment.
Like the muslims, the Catholic church see the world in terms of centuries and milleniums. Cultural and demographic movements are what count when using these timescales. In his 27 years at the Vatican, the pope has done everything he can to make peace with jews and non-catholic christians. This is precisely to prepare the way for the next huge battle. The only people grumbling about the pope now are gay activists and socialists. In the centuries long battle against islam which we are facing, demographics and culture will be the clincher and by his very public death the pope has made the side of civilization that much stronger.
Welcome This New Member of the Fifth Column: National Review.
I remember the "good old days" when books were "banned in Boston." They immediately became bestsellers nationwide.
Every time the CAIR trolls do something like this, it can be trumpeted widely on the various sites and blogs of this ilk. Whatever CAIR attempts to "ban" or censor via the legal system is that which we will find most helpful.
Help the economy! Buy a CAIR-banned book!
> Unfortunately, neither of these books will ever be as extensively read as
> Mein Kampf and the Protocols have been in Arab/Muslim countries.
They will if a prominent political or media figure denounces them as hate literature. We can only hope...
Good news on the CAIR-banned book front: We ordered our copy from the Conservative Book Service, and it's on back order! I guess a lot of us went to the competition to get the book.
Seems as if National Review is getting a well deserved sucker punch, and CAIR's attempt to muzzle Menezes has had an unintended consequence!
Thanks, CAIR, for the free advertising! Please let us know of any other interesting reading you can refer us to by attempting to silence the sources!
Hooper, was that your advice? You should know better by now!
ROTFLOL! :-)
P.S. I posted this on another thread, but I don't remember exactly where. I'm re-posting it here because maybe, sometime in the future, bits and pieces of this idea may be helpful.
Andre Servier, author of "The Psychology of the Musulman" tried to warn France back in 1924 about the danger she faced from Islam. France paid no attention then, just as the U.S. is paying no attention now, and today, it appears that the Islamic "Fifth Column" may take over France in about fifteen years by sheer force of numbers--about 40% of the population will then be Muslim, it is predicted.
Islam cannot be reformed; the Koran is what it is. I believe that any efforts to contain the effects of its malicious doctrine will only slow its spread down a bit.
The only way to bring it to a halt is to destroy the economies of the various Islamic states. Withdraw any and all means of support of these parasites, and let them stew in the juices of their own stagnant, paralysing thinking.
Get rid of all Muslim non-citizens, and keep the closest eye on all Muslim "citizens" that technology will allow.
(Now here's the part I REALLY like!):
Require of all voters an oath which, much like the oath of naturalization and the various oaths of office, require that the person support and defend the Constitution; any citizen who cannot, in good conscience, support the Constitution, should not be permitted to vote.
Watch out for taqiyya in the above process.

HI all
I ordered my own Copy of the above book 'The Life and Religion of Mohammed by J. L. Menezes' because as a Catholic it being written by a Priest is very insightful for me .
At present, without having read the book I consider that Muhammad, having called God a liar and Jesus sacrifice on the cross also a lie, makes him a candidate for hell and eternal damnation and the most severe judgement, because he has compounded the sin upon multiple generations of Muslims.
What makes Jesus God to Christians is the terms of his sacrifice as understood in the 'priestly prayer' and in his resurrection we have to accept that every word he spoke in the Gospels are the "Word of God" . Very truly Jesus IS God to us as we cannot come before God on any personal merits but on the sacrifice of Christ.
Muslims cannot please God nor obtain salvation by Jihad they make themselves liable to Judgement, further to that they can never aspire as a Muslim to the resurrection, those muslims who live a good life and who believe in Jesus can avoid Judgement, but they will have to be born again as Christians , Christ must be considered 'The Bread of Life' or there can be no proper regeneration at the resurrection.
