Afghan woman killed by father for 'adultery'

Sharia alert. From AP, with thanks to all who sent this in:

An Afghan man killed his daughter for allegedly committing adultery, officials said on Sunday, but denied reports that she was stoned to death.

Two officials said Mohammed Aslam killed his daughter Amina on Thursday in a remote village of Badakhshan province called Gazan, about 310 kilometres north-west of Kabul.

Media reports said the woman was stoned by villagers who caught her in the home of a man other than her husband - a punishment allowed under Islamic law and more commonly reported under the former Taliban government.

But police said the reports were mistaken and that Aslam carried out the killing alone.

"With the fundamentalists and the hardline mullahs who are in that area, these things are not impossible," said Shah Jahan Noori, the provincial police chief, told The Associated Press. "But I know that in this case she was not stoned."

'denied reports that she was stoned to death'

She got off lightly then.

She was murdered "for allegedly committing adultery". Allegedly. This seems to be a common theme in Islam. Alleged. Perceived. No real proof required. Guilty, and never proven innocent.

Oh yes, Islam is so wonderful, especially for women!

Sick. Evil. Barbarians. Disgusting.

Coming to a neighborhood near you if we don't put a stop to Islamization of the West.

How old was she? Oh well, guess it doesn't matter. Women are of no value in islam.

Feralee- I understand what you mean about lack of proof, and I don't mean to be argumentative, but it really doesn't matter if there was proof or not. Dealing with the warped Muslim perspective so long tends to make non-Muslims forget what normal is. Should it matter if she screwed the entire neighborhood? Her FATHER is going to kill her for this?

I remember a case where a woman was killed because she didn't bleed enough after she was married off (in the wedding night) so then her husband returned her to her father who -of course- had to kill her to restore the honor...

Afghanistan that was, right after the fall of the Taliban...

THE SAYINGS OF THE HIDDEN IMAM-

The essential law 'Thou shalt not murder' over-rules all other 'cultural' or 'religious' commands to kill.

Only a duly-appointed secular court of law may judge and convict and sentence anyone.

And only involvement in a murder itself may be considered as being a reason for invoking the death penalty.

So what happened to the man? Did he get off scott free?

former lib: yeah, sorry I didn't mean it the way it sounded. I don't care if she was the village hussy, it wouldn't justify anyone killing her. I was just saying that in Islam they don't seem to care if a woman really is guilty. She just has to be perceived to do something immoral. I think that the instruction to beat your wife even mentions that she doesn't have to actually be disobedient, but only that her weak, insecure husband perceives she is not obedient. I doubt men get the same treatment.

It must be horrible being a Muslim woman, living in constant fear of someone perceiving you are immoral, and making alleged claims against your honor. But then that's the whole point, isn't it? The fear. It's a fantastic method of control. Muslim men are the most pathetic creatures on the planet.

Someone should read Sylvia Plath's poem "DADDY" at the funeral service.

And then play "Oh, My PaPa" for a theme as the mourners depart the gravesite.

(I don't know about a Hell after this life, but this sure proves there is one already here... being built by fathers just like this sick s.o.b.)

these *men* or little boys are incredibly weakminded. that's why i love Jesus and what He said, "you who are without sin cast the first stone". shalom
