Dhimmitude in Central Missouri

More of the usual crapola from "Open house educates about Islam" in the Columbia Missourian, with thanks to Skeetstreet:

Jan DeLasara and her sister, Joy Rushing, came to the Islamic Center of Central Missouri's open house Sunday with different religious perspectives. DeLasara considers herself a spiritual person but is not a member of any organized religion. Rushing is a devout Presbyterian. But both were interested in learning more about Islam.

"It's an opportunity to get a very close look at a tradition that is pretty alien to me," DeLasara said.

DeLasara said she has learned that the religion of Islam spans many different cultures.

"I think it's appropriate for them to stress that they are inclusive," she said.

Oh yeah, they're reeeaaaal inclusive. Just pay the jizya and bow and scrape, and you'll be included all right.

Rushing said she was hoping to learn more about the faith so that she can correct any inaccuracies that non-Muslims may have about Islam...

That's good of Rushing, for the inaccuracies abound in the face of this magnificent edifice that is Islam. Indeed, so arcane, so difficult, so all-consuming, so burning-the-midnight-oil is this task of studying Islam that hundreds of millions of Muslims themselves have embraced these inaccuracies, and many of them, poor dears, actually think their misunderstanding of the faith is the "pure" item -- even though it has led them to miss all the obvious verses enjoining peace and tolerance in the Qur'an and to think their religion requires them to wage war against unbelievers. But never fear! Here comes Joy Rushing into the breach! I am confident that this little problem of global jihad terrorism will be all cleared up within a few weeks.

Oh, Robert, you are awful!!!

It's so opaque it's impenetrably obtuse. If only you understood it in Arabic, Robert. No amount of translations into English by believers approved by Muslim editors could possibly reveal to you the true Arabic glory that is Islam.

Robert,

How could you say such a thing! Islam is the religion of Peace!

You'd think if she was all that interseted she would have begun oooohh say 3 and a half years ago.
I dont mind people coming to parties late But dont show up so drunk you dont know what your talking about.

She is what the jihadists hope for. A useful idiot. She will get the cheap tour of islam with none of the blood and guts, then she will think she is an authority.

I feel sorry for these two women. They want to believe the best about Islam, as did I, and the Islamic Center of Central Missouri was quite willing to mislead them.

I would like to learn what ties the Islamic Center of Central Missouri has to the Islamic American/Africa Relief Agency (IARA), also based in Columbia, which the FBI raided for ties to Al-Qaeda. For the story, please refer to Militant Islam Monitor (MIM), http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/303.

The MIM page also draws attention to the incestuous relationship among Muslim organizations. Ibrahim Khaleel of IARA has written for the American Muslim, the organ of the Muslim American Society, which is the U.S. arm of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Incidentally, Columbia MO has a substantial and active anarchist population.

"The Islamic center of Central Missouri was all too happy to mislead them" just as all other Muslims that coo about the sweetness and glory of Islam and similarities between Islam, Christianity, and Judaism are eager and more than willing to mislead any that will give them the time of day. Those that aren't willing are branded as "racists, bigots, or Islamophobes".

This isn't rocket science and gullible people such as Jan and Joy are indeed useful idiots that are helping the noose tighten.

Well, you know that they say about "fools rushing in where wise men fear to tread".

Indeed, so arcane, so difficult, so all-consuming, so burning-the-midnight-oil is this task of studying Islam that hundreds of millions of Hindus, Buddhists and Zoroastrians, have willingly died in trying to understand their mis-understandings of islam.

Yikes. Is there no end to this madness? Will this idiocy of misunderstanding islam continue into the next century, taking up our limited time on this planet.

But hey, let's not pay attention to any of this. Not when there's *Gasp* Republicans, businessmen and Neocons to focus upon! And some of them religious people, too.

Jan DeLasara and Joy Rushing are Pollyannas. But it's really not their fault. Our media and our education system have seen to it that they don't know the truth. As CAIR and like groups continue their public-relations campaign, more and more members of our society will be similarly deceived.

Pollyannas they may be, but how could any coherent, rational, informed person be deceived by Islam? Even if I had never heard of Islam before 9-11, that alone would cause me to be forever wary of Islam and muslims. Considering the many other horrendous atrocities that have transpired since 9-11, all of them committed by fanatical muslims quoting the Qur'an as their inspiration, every human being on earth who listens to or reads the news should be very concerned about Islam!

My God, how much more death, destruction, pain and suffering must these maniacal zealots wreak before it is obvious to the world that Islam is a cult of war and death?! Their facades are inscrutable; the nice, young muslim next door who appears normal in every respect might be tomorrow's suicide bomber or the terrorist who will trigger a nuclear bomb in a major U.S. city.

Anyone who cannot see the pattern of violence, hate, and rage among muslims throughout the world is blind. I don't trust or believe any of them. All devout muslims are potential timebombs that could explode without warning. We are suicidal for allowing them to live among us.
.

Susanp,
I agree with you. "Maniacal zealots" is exactly right!

How could these two women be so foolish? For all the talk about critical thinking, our schools discourage the actual process by using the guise of accepting multiculturalism. Just have a look at the textbooks used in American classrooms. Meanwhile, the likes of the Institute of Saudi Arabia, which probably enjoys tax-exempt status though I don't know for sure and which is within a few miles of Washington, D.C., openly promotes Wahhabism. Don't forget that Abu Ali, American citizen and aspiring Presidential assassin, attended school there and was active in the local mosque as well.

When the nuclear event happens (and it will, one day), there will be an outcry such as "How could we not have seen this coming?" Well, when the sane ones of us try to communicate our concerns, we are often shouted down as bigots, who are guilty of hate crimes.

The sarcasm gets better and better. So much so that some Muslim somewhere is going to take it literally and quote this site as a supporter of the beauty and peace that is Islam.

They will be the misunderstanders of the misunderstanders of Islam.

Susanp,

Don't hold back. Tell us what you really think!!! =)

That said, I couldn't agree more.

Interested - good point. I have NO doubt whatsoever that that is or will be exactly the case.

Allah knows jack.
