France may be an ever better dhimmi than President Handholder. From the World Tribune, with thanks to Andrew Bostom:
The Saudi kingdom could augment or replace strategic ties with London and Washington by increasing relations with France, the Washington Institute said in a report. The institute cited a French report of a defense memorandum of understanding that paves the way for the French sale of up to $15 billion in aircraft and security projects to Riyad. The institute's report, authored by Gulf analyst Simon Henderson, was issued on the eve of the meeting between U.S. President George Bush and Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz in Crawford, Texas on Monday.
Abdullah and Bush last met three years ago. The president has indicated that he would press Abdullah to increase Saudi oil exports as prices approach $60 a barrel, Middle East Newsline reported.
Abdullah, who met Vice President Richard Cheney on Sunday, was expected to face a tough session with Bush.
Yeah. Bush hadn't had a manicure for awhile.
"If recent signals from the Saudis are any indication, the talks could be tough," the study said. "Indeed, the frank talk promised for the Crawford summit could well mark a turning point in U.S.-Saudi relations.""The president [Bush] has a plethora of concerns heading into the meeting, including Saudi views on terrorism, democratic reform, oil prices, and nuclear proliferation," the study added. "Although Washington is pleased by recent Saudi successes against Al Qaida, it remains worried about the potential for Islamic militancy in the kingdom. U.S. nationals in Saudi Arabia remain vulnerable to terrorist attacks."...
"The contrast between the Crawford and Paris meetings is likely to be great, leading to speculation that Riyad might upgrade its relations with France to a strategic friendship rivaling its historic relationship with the United States," the study said....
Vive le chienlit! (Look who is sleeping with the dog!) Why are we surprised? The U.S. needs to stop buying oil from some of the most corrupt, evil, wicked, religious scum who head the Islamic oil countries. Perhaps every time the price of a barrel of oil goes up one dollar, U.S. taxes on oil should go up two dollars. This will force U.S. citizens to use alternative energy sources and will reduce the flow of money to Dar El Islam. It would reduce the flow of money to the enemy who uses it to subvert the world.
I am sick hearing the Prophet's puppies claim that the U.S. seeks the taking of Middle East oil by imperialism. In an imperialist system money would flow from the imperalist to the colony. The oil in the foreign country would belong to an imperialist investment group of the imperial country. The oil would flow and the money and its profits would stay in the imperialist country. Imperialism is taking the oil without paying for it and backing up such taking by force.
The U.S. pays for the oil. The U.S. pays an extortionist and monopolist price. If the U.S. just took the oil, it would cost a lot less. If the U.S. just took the oil it would not be putting its money into enemy hands.
The evil is that the U.S. fills the coffers of the criminal conspiritorial scum who run these Middle East countries and their religious adherents. The evil is this money is used to buy guns and bombs and worse with further "charitable" transfers made of this money. Some winds up as "zakat," for further subversion of the infidel.
As the the French President and General de Gaule once said who himself slept in a lot of different beds in his lifetime:
"Non au chienlit!" No to sleeping with the dogs!
"Bush hasn't had a manicure for a while"--Robert, you're too funnny!
Did anyone else notice that Pres. Bush was holding the prince's right hand with his LEFT? I thought that was haraam.
Long live the lithium battery, wind generators, geothermal energy, solar roof shingles, tidal/wave generators, methane generators, etc. We have plenty of oil, especially after Anwar starts flowing (with appropriate security, I hope) for non energy uses such as pharmaceuticals, plastics, etc.
All the government has to do is back off its opposition to the flow of creative juices in the private sector. Just as Islam's micromanagement and rigidity paralyze thinking, innovation, and creativity in Muslim societies, so does our own micromanaging governmental bureaucratic behemoth, which moves with great insight and glacial speed when it comes to rapid acceptance of new ideas, and adaptation of new requirements, paralyze solutions to our own problems. Regulations preventing this, laws against that, etc.
Hell, we haven't even secured our borders yet. How can we expect any response to our energy problems, other than playing dhimmi to the enemy so we can continue the same ol' same ol?
Here's a link to the petition that Bill O'Reilly mentioned on The Factor, addressed to President Bush, urging him to secure America's borders. Sign the petition and send a link to it to your friends and families.
