Note the bolded areas below. From the Palm Beach Post, with thanks to all who sent this in:
The men, who are all U.S. citizens, are seeking $4 million each from Restaurant Collection Inc., which owns the Denny's franchise, and shift manager Eduardo Ascano, whom they say compared them to the Al-Qaida terrorist leader."This was a terrible act against Arab Americans," Alan C. Kauffman, one of the attorneys for the group, said Wednesday.
The seven men are of Egyptian, Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian descent and include a doctor, a real estate agent, an insurance broker and a restaurant owner. They live in Broward and Palm Beach counties. They filed suit last week in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court. No trial date has been set.
Restaurant Collection's owner, Alfonso Fernandez, said in a statement Wednesday that the men's allegations are false.
"We are truly committed to treating all of our guests with respect, and we take every guest concern seriously," Fernandez wrote. "These allegations of discrimination were immediately and thoroughly investigated by an independent, outside agency that found no evidence whatsoever to support the guests' claims."
Fernandez did not identify the agency. However, an investigation by the Florida Commission on Human Rights said "reasonable cause does exist" to support the discrimination claim.
The seven men say they went to Fernandez's restaurant in Florida City, on the southern tip of the Florida peninsula, about 2 a.m. Jan. 11, 2004. They say they were seated, given menus and received their drink orders. But an hour later, their food hadn't arrived. One of the men — Ehab Albaradi — approached Ascano and inquired about the group's order, the lawsuit says.
Ascano allegedly said: "Bin Laden is the manager of the kitchen" and "Bin Laden is in charge."
Albaradi and a second man, Usama El-A-Baidy, decided to speak to Ascano again about their order.
Angered, Ascano told the short order cooks in the kitchen to cancel the group's order, the suit claims.
El-A-Baidy then asked Ascano why he had used the name bin Laden.
"We don't serve bin Ladens here! You guys, out!" Ascano allegedly said.
A group of officers from the Miami-Dade County and Homestead police departments eating at the Denny's also told the seven men to leave and threatened to arrest them if they didn't, the lawsuit said. The officers have not been identified, Kauffman said.
Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Cathy Webb said Thursday that the department could find no record of a complaint being filed by the men and because so many months have passed, it will be difficult to determine who the officers were. Homestead Capt. Ed Bowe said no complaints were filed with the department and its records show no on-duty officers were at the restaurant at the time.
Ascano no longer works for the resaurant, Fernandez said. Ascano does not have a listed phone number and could not be reached for comment.
I believe Ann Coulter when she says "Arabs Lie!"
Is this some new way to:
A) tie up the courts with time-consuming nonsense?
B) extort money to be funneled into the global jihadist effort?
C) psychological warfare to soften up and intimidate other businesses?
D) Allah've the above?
The ultra-hateful, over-forty-yet-unmarried Ann Coulter lies also; and in fact, people from all groups lie. But anyway.
This case seems fishy because they waited so long to file a complaint. It is easy to believe that it happened, but they shouldn't have waited so long to file.
Of course Muslims in general and Arabs in particular are prone to exaggeration. (Merely one aspect of taqqiya, I now know.) I recently told a (presumably) Muslim boy of about 16 or so that he should be ashamed of himself for wearing a shirt that said "Mujahadin" on it, considering what happened to the WTC in New York. He came back with, "Sir, you don't know what this word means." Its always the same crap: anyone that criticizes any Muslim for anything is ignorant of the facts.
I said, "Yes I do. It means 'Holy Warrior'." He said, "You need to talk to an informed Muslim that can explain to you what it really means." I said that I learned what Mujahadin really meant from the Mujahadin of Lebanon, Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kashmir. he was still making excuses when I walked away.
I never raised my voice, and I never threatened him. But I can just imagine how he related the story to his fellows later. "I was attacked"... "I was assaulted"... "I was intimidated".... "I was berated"... "I was reproached".... "I was victimized"... etc. etc.
I still recall with disgust how Mrs. Al-Aryan described the FBI raid that arrested her husband. Not a single shot was fired, their wasn't even so much as a scuffle (if there had been, surely Resisting Arrest would be added to Al-Aryan's litany of charges.) Yet Mrs. Al-Aryan described the situation thus: "They came in and massacred us." How poetic. Too bad it's not true.
That that's the mindset of these brainwashed idiots. They say that when a "palestinian" bursts into a Passover party and opens fire, indiscriminately murdering men, women, and children, it's "Freedom Fighting." When a "palestinian" opens fire on a woman and her four daughters, all under the age of eight, and kills them all, it's "Resisting the Occupation." When a "palestinian" blows himself up on a crowded bus in Jerusalem, it's "Fighting for Allah." But when your husband gets arrested for financing all that freedom fighting, resistance, and martyring, your family has "been massacred."
I guess that if one is raised to believe that the proper definition of "honor" includes beheading your own daughter if she has a late period, it's easy to redefine everything else.
KJ:
"He said, 'You need to talk to an informed Muslim that can explain to you what it really means.' "
[rhetorical question] So what was he doing wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the word if he felt himself incapable of explaining it?
An above poster did not even know for certain if the t-shirt wearer was even a muslim. My guess is it was just some non muslim kid who thought it was cool. I remember seeing kids wearing Sandinista! t-shirts with no idea of who they were.
This obviously phony lawsuit reminds one of the latest example of an attempted holdup through the threat of litigation-- the finger brought to Wendy's only to be "found" in a bowl of chili by the same person who brought it.
Notice how he didn't say what it meant, kj. Only that you were wrong. Curious.
Geoff
yes,Cross. Now I see KJ's caveat.
Cross stated:

How appropriate that YOU should be posting in Dhimmi Watch ...
Consider the source Kemaste.
Big Sleep
Just some more to the list
1. Hurt the infidel economy
2. Get sympathy from the LLL media and hence islamic dawa.
3. If they win - then more money for the real jihad, if they lose, then blame it on rampant islamophobia in America.
Muslims are increasingly viewed with contempt and suspicion. I just wonder how muslims can live in the West these days. If I was in their place, I would hate to place myself and my family in such a humiliating position.

Taking over the US
Couldn't help smiling while reading this. BTW, the first comment on this thread by BillR, 'I believe Ann Coulter when she says "Arabs Lie!"' is something dangerous that is to be avoided. Let us not forget that there are Arab CHRISTIANS who live in this country as well. It just happened that the seven scumbags in this story were Muslims, and they deserved the shitty treatment they got. If they don't like it here, they can go back to Saudi Arabia.
OUR PROBLEM IS NOT A RACE, BUT AN THE IDEOLOGY OF ISLAM, WHICH HAS CORRUPTED THE MINDS OF INDIAN PAKISTANIS, SOME ARAB LEBANESE, SOME AFRICAN AND LATINO AMERICANS, CHINESE UIGHURS, AND WHITE BOSNIANS.
By needlessly playing the race card, Coulter diminished her reputation and credibility. That's a shame.
Capulet, is this one better?

"The purpose of victory in this war is the conversion of the entire world to Islam in the cause of Allah [Jihad fee sibil-Allah]. Those who do not believe in Allah, the Last Day, or acknowledgement of the [Islamic] religion of truth must pay Jizya with willing submission [they must be subdued; 9.38]. All of those unwilling to convert will be killed because, according to the prophecy, God's object is to purge those that are true in faith and to deprive of blessing those that "resist" faith [3:142]. After this time-period of great purging and conversion, then peace will encompass the entire world comprised entirely of Muslim followers."
