The campaign for what promises to be one of the most bitterly contested parliamentary seats got off to an explosive start yesterday when the MP Oona King was pelted with eggs and vegetables as she attended a memorial to Jewish war dead.Miss King, 37, the black Jewish Labour MP for Bethnal Green and Bow, was attacked as she joined mourners to commemorate 60 years since the Hughes Mansions Disaster, when 134 people, almost all Jewish, were killed by the last V2 missile to land on London....
Miss King, who enraged many of her Muslim constituents when she openly supported the war in Iraq, told the crowd that the attack was one of the "saddest" things she had ever witnessed.Clearly angry, she said: "I think they were aimed at me but the sheer ignorance never mind the lack of respect is shocking. They have no idea where their freedom came from and who gave it to them.
"They don't know they are lucky to be here. That is truly one of the saddest things that I have ever seen. There were people who helped save this country, having eggs pelted at them at a time when they are remembering those they had lost. It is disgusting."
The incident demonstrated how high feelings are running in the east London constituency, which has 55,000 Bangladeshi Muslims, more than half its electorate, most of whom bitterly opposed the war in Iraq.
I agree that this is an outrage, but take a look at Oona King's web site at www.oonaking.com and read her comments about Israel. She considers Ariel Sharon a war criminal, calls for an economic boycott of Israel and in general parrot's the traditional dhimmi line that blames Israel for all the ills of the Middle East. While I don't believe that anyone should be subject to the kind of abuse King experienced, I can't say that I have a lot of sympathy for her.
What that says to me, sbrst, is that she was attacked because of her religion, not her politics.
And what it proves above all is that appeasement does not work. Oona King, perhaps to 'make up' for being Jewish is emphatically pro-Palestinian. But that doesn't help. I wonder if the PC crowd will be supporting her, ie does her blackness (PC victim group) outweigh her Jewishness (evil Zionist oppressor).
A little bird told me Ken Livingstone's great grandfather was Jewish. Wonder if the Muslim Association of Britain would support him if they knew....
Like undoubtedly some of the "little white" French leftists who were attacked, beaten and abused by 1,000 Muslim thugs recently, I suspect Oona King is undergoing a rethink right now.
It's one thing to force Israelis to live with this thuggish behavior and reprimand them when they fight back; quite another thing when it's in one's own backyard.
I am very, very upset. My father was from Bethnal Green. He would have known people from Hughes Mansions, although I don't think he worked on the rescue, his unit of the fire service having been disbanded shortly before.

As for MP King, remember this the next time you whine about Israel (and the next time you cash your bonus check from that anonymous Arab benefactor.) Mayhap you can recall the last time a bunch of Jews threw eggs and vegetables at a non-Jew in Israel. I guess you should be grateful that the attack transpired in England and not in Iran, Pakistan, or "palestine."

BTW for the record I too have ALWAYS been against the phony invasion of Iraq. But no matter. I was for the invasion of Afghanistan, and probably Ms. King was too. And if there had never even been an invasion of Iraq, the "Asians" of her district would have still abused her, in this case ostensibly for supporting THAT invasion. The real reason that she was attacked, the one we aren't allowed to talk about, is because she is a Jew that doesn't hate Israel "enough."
My advice to Ms. King, should any of her lackeys check in here, is to remember who attacked her and the REAL REASON they attacked her. And don't waste too much time trying to tie this to the "West Bank" "settlers" or Ariel Sharon.

But yes, I agree with your reasoning that people view narrow races, such as rich and poor, or Muslim and other, or in the case of America, Caucasian, Colored (African), Colored (Other).
I guess Miss King being belonging to both of the "J0000000Z" and the "N!GGERRRRRRS" didn't really help her much against being belted with eggs because of both her skin color and her religion, and despite her supposedly Pro-Palestinian beliefs.

Ramaz, KJ, I'm of the mind that "Caucasian" applies to folks from between the Seas of Azov and Caspian, south of the Kuban Steppe, and northe of that graben in which lie goodly portions of Georgia and Azerbaijan. We had a bunch of them in Nawt' Joysey, where I wuz bawned--mostly Circassian and Georgian (not Dhimmi Khadr kind) stock.
I suspect that people from the northern end of the Indian subcontinent got called "Caucasian" after common pre-1960's anthropological parlance was due to the long noses and thin lips that mark people from that part of the world.
