UK: Muslim outrage over Blears 'gaffe'

Well, when the Mennonites start saying, "Convert or die.", when they start beheading hostages, when they start becoming suicide bombers; we will all start watching them more closely.

Yes, I'm anxiously on the lookout for the next buggy bomb to trot down the street. Oy vey!

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, waddles like a duck and compliments orange sauce like a duck.

Ms. Blears says that "the state considers all Muslims a potential threat to the country". Well, she is not alone. Why would that be, I wonder.

Lets us hope Hazel stands her ground and doesn't capitulate, and rollover in front of these masters of victomology and deception (taqiyya).

Character is about standing up for what you believe, and what she has expressed rings out with pure commonsence.

Hazel, Don't go back and try and tell us that Grannys duck was really just a chicken afterall!

Repeat after me: Islam is not a race.

Of course Muslims are going to be stopped more than others because they are the ones sending their children out to be suicide bombers. They are committing the gang rapes and other outrages.

Fear and hatred of Muslims on increase in young generation

Children as young as 13 are displaying signs of Islamophobia and are voicing their support for the British National Party, researchers have found.

Young teenagers are increasingly saying they have negative views towards Muslims and do not want Islamic culture expressed in the classroom. The study of 1,500 students aged 13 to 24 was presented at the annual conference of the British Psychological Society in Manchester yesterday.

Researchers asked students from 14 secondary schools and one further education college in York for their views on Islam since 11 September 2001. Three of the schools were from the independent sector and the others came from a wide geographical and socio-economic area.

Nathalie Noret, the lead researcher, from York St John's College, said: "The younger pupils were more likely to exhibit extreme views and Islamophobia than older students, and there were no differences between schools." She added that Islamophobia was a "double whammy" as it discriminated against people not just on the basis of religion but also the colour of their skin.

Overall, 43 per cent of the participants said their attitudes towards Muslims had got worse or much worse since the attacks. A quarter said they had worsened still further since the invasion of Iraq.

Ten per cent of girls and 23 per cent of the boys said they would object to female Muslim school pupils wearing a hijab in the classroom.

When asked about the British National Party, almost 10 per cent said they either agreed or agreed strongly with the views of its far-right politicians, with 15 per cent saying they were neutral.

Boys were more likely to adopt extreme views and Islamophobic attitudes than girls, with 4.5 per cent of the male participants strongly agreeing with the BNP, against 1.2 per cent of girls. Similarly, 23 per cent of the boys said their attitudes to Muslims had become much worse since 2001, against 14 per cent of the girls.

More than 10 per cent of non-Muslim students said they had seen or heard verbal or physical victimisation of Muslim pupils inside or outside school.

One example involves a 14-year-old schoolboy and two other teenagers, 16 and 17, who desecrated dozens of Muslim graves last year in Charlton, south-east London. At Inner London Crown Court yesterday they received community rehabilitation orders.

Judge Lindsay Burn told them: "The jury were convinced, and I am satisfied, that at least one of your motivations was hostility to the religious beliefs of those buried in that section of the cemetery, namely those of the Muslim faith."

Anas Altikriti, of the Muslim Association of Britain, said: "It is extremely saddening when children are already adopting attitudes like this towards Muslims. Children get these views from television and the media and the conversations they hear from adults. It is incredibly distressing that when they should be at an age where they rise above race and colour and creed, children are already having these negative emotions."

One would have to be deaf, dumb, and blind not to understand what Hazel Blears apparently has come to understand, what Geert Wildres, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Ibn Warraq, Oriana Fallaci, Bat Ye'or, Patrick Sookhdeo, and a thousand other perceptive people have seen and written about -- the menace of Islam and of the islamization of Europe.

It is too bad if, as some suggest, some among the British young are impressed with the BNP. But what does one expect, if the major parties refuse to discuss this matter completely, openly, without any fear of the campaign of intimidation, legal and physical, waged by Muslims against any non-Muslim who appears not to be sufficiently obsequious, sufficiently willing to go along with the farce of pretending that Islam is not a menace.

But it is absurd to claim, as one "researcher" does in a posting above, that "Islamophobia was a 'double whammy' as it discriminated against people not just on the basis of religion but also the colour of their skin."

How many times must one repeat that there is no connection between race and Islam; that Islam is an ideology, and one has a right to study what that ideology is all about, what it teaches about non-Muslims, what effects it has on the possiblities for art and science under Muslim rule, what effect it has on the well-being and security of non-Muslims wherever significant numbers of Muslims may come and settle.

As is well known in England, among the chief victims of the ideology of Islam have been black Christians, forced to live near, and easy prey of, Muslim aggressors.

As a matter of fact, iconoclast, what she said was:

"there was no getting away from it", because the terrorist threat came from people "falsely hiding behind Islam"

What the good and honest Sajjid Karim said was:

"Ms Blears has said, in essence, that the state considers all Muslims a potential threat to the country. British Muslims are now guilty until proven innocent, and considered fair game."

So in fact Blears said nothing wrong at all. It's amusing how people like to twist the words of those that they consider as threats - Mr. Karim's actions are reprehensible, but not unexpected.

About Shiva's post: it's disappointing that Anas Altikriti would take such a racist perspective on these crimes. Surely she must accept that no religion has a specific 'race', nor any specific race a religion? It's troubling that someone acting as the head of an organization representing muslims would take such a racially bigoted view of religion. I hope that Anas is able to get counselling and help for this condition.

No, when exactly are Muslims going to apologise for this?

Hazel, you go girl! If you can't run fast, then standfast! To muslims the following challenge goes forth:

1) Stop threatening/hijacking/shooting down (trying, not successfull yet) all airplanes!
2) Stop stoning/amputating/hanging each other with impunity.
3) Make peace with Israel.
4) Make peace with the church.
5) Make peace with each other.
6) Start cherishing women and treat them as the equals that they have ALWAYS been!
7) Renounce aggressive jihad against defenceless civilians.
8) "Confess all your sins and pray one for another!"
9) Start thinking for yourselves, dammit!
10)Take responsibilty for your own actions and renounce victimism.

Do these things and we'll stop bugging you with our stop and search laws.

My feelings exactly about the Koran.

The more I know it, the worse it gets.

And the behavior of too many mouthpieces in the Muslim community.

Instead of saying that they will work with the government to prevent any terroristic problems from their own brethren in Islam, the standard cuckoo-clock like refrain pops out of their mouths:

"Islamophobia! Islamophobia!"

They don't understand the old fable about the boy who cried wolf too many times. People will get tired of their whining -when there is nothing much going on- and will be suspicious enough to doubt them should a real act of 'irrational anti-Muslim behavior' does really happen.

But the best solution would be for these irritated British Muslims to go to a nice Islamic country- preferably Saudi Arabia, home of their irritable faith- where they would never have to fear this problem of "Islamophobia" ever again.
