Hooo doggies! Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee, authorities have found a jihadist weapons cache. From Fox News, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:
The FBI believes it found weapons belonging to a terror suspect who trained at the same Atlanta flight school as two of the Sept. 11 hijackers and who was recently detained but has since been released, FOX News has learned.Zayead Christopher Hajaig, a Nigerian-born Briton, was arrested in London on April 8, shortly after the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force issued a worldwide alert for him. Sources at the bureau told FOX News that Hajaig was questioned and released; authorities believe he is still in Britain.
FBI sources told FOX News that a person linked to Hajaig contacted the FBI's Atlanta bureau and turned over a number of weapons said to have been owned by the suspect.
The tipster also told authorities that two other weapons were dumped into the Chattahoochee River at Hajaig's behest. One of the weapons described was recovered in a search of the river by the Cobb County dive team on Tuesday.
It was unknown if the weapons had been used in any crimes or were intended for use in a future plot.
An FBI spokesman would not comment on Hajaig's whereabouts or why he was released by British authorities. An investigation by the bureau and Immigration and Customs Enforcement was ongoing, a press release said.
Hajaig, 35, had aroused suspicions of flight instructors at Gwinnett County Airport, where lead Sept. 11, 2001, hijacker Mohamed Atta and fellow hijacker Marwan al-Shehhi had trained. Hajaig was living in the United States illegally but was still able to obtain a pilot's license from the Federal Aviation Administration in April 2002, authorities said.
Hajaig apparently pushed to have his pilot rating upgraded despite being underqualified. The Joint Terrorism Task Force warning said he became "aggressive and attempted to have the flight school accelerate his training."...
Hajaig was living in the United States illegally but was still able to obtain a pilot's license from the Federal Aviation Administration in April 2002...
Wait, that HAS to be a typo. April, 2002? You mean April, 2001, right? Or maybe 2000?
HOW IS IT POSSIBLE that this guy, an "aggressive" and illegal immigrant, slipped through the cracks? "Obtained a pilot's license?" HOW? isn't there any kind of background check? What in THE HELL were his teachers thinking? Were the authorities informed? The Federal Aviation Authority approved this?
HOURS after 09-11-01, the news was chocked with stories of the cowardly 19 attending flight school and acting suspiscious.
This report is stupefying; it just defies logic.

What Havoc says!
Robert, can Ramaz be booted from the site? I'm getting sick of his rants. I'm not a racist, and if you assume that you have to be racist to disagree with islamofacists stashing weapons, then essentially: fuck him.
Don't use the n-word, moron. Or explain how it relates to criticism of his being essentially a foreign agent.
Idiot.
Geoff
I agree, thumbs down. Flush this turd.
Geoff:
Spencer doesn't read all the comments. If you have a request/complaint or want to point out an egregious post, contact him at director@jihadwatch.org and either copy the post or tell him which thread it's on and the time it was posted.
CGW
OK CGW; I'll send it on over.
Thx
Geoff

"Hey guys, I know I'm not doing so well in the piloting department but could you promote me in the name of diversity and jiha... er I mean multiculturalism?
Listen, Ramaz is using a typical Islamofacist tactic. He's turning the spotlight away from the real object of disdain and redirecting back on you. Geez, just because 3,000 innocent folks were slaughtered on 9/11 doesn't mean that every radical Islamist hiding weapons is out to get us. I mean, maybe he had a good reason to hide those guns. Maybe some racist white Americans, like the kind who stole America and oppress the world were out to set him up while all he was doing was minding his own business?? Just because this upstanding citizen was assertively demanding to go forward in his training doesn't mean he had bad intentions, does it?
OT OR MAYBE NOT??
READ SOME WHERE THAT THERE WAS A BIG MULSUM POP IN THIS TOWN FOR SOME REASON I THINK IT IS TO DO SOME THING WITH THE OIL THERE??
AND WE KNOW HOW BUSY LITTLE OLD LADYS ARE AND ALL??

Police: Man Killed Elderly, Left in Closets
Friday, April 22, 2005
PORT ARTHUR, Texas — The bodies of three elderly women were found stuffed in their closets this week, and police arrested a man Friday who they say is a suspect in two of the cases.
The 40-year-old man was arrested in the beating of a 60-year-old woman in her home Thursday night. Police said she identified him as her attacker.
The man was also being questioned in the deaths of two 82-year-old women found late Thursday in their closets in the same neighborhood in this southeastern Texas city. Police said they believe both were victims of foul play but were not apparently shot or stabbed. The women's names have not been released.
The body of a third 82-year-old woman, Dorothy Barrett, was discovered Monday in another Port Arthur neighborhood. She had been kicked and punched, authorities said, and an autopsy showed she died of trauma to the chest.
The woman beaten Thursday, Brenda Choate, told the Beaumont Enterprise (search) that the man broke into her house and caught her as she ran for the door.
"I kicked him as hard as I could and I was just screaming," she said. "What was going through my mind was, 'You fight and you scream.'"
Choate said her attacker fled on a bicycle. Police Maj. Mark Blanton said investigators seized a bicycle they believe the suspect was riding.
The suspect was being held Friday at the Jefferson County (search) jail and was scheduled to appear before a judge later in the morning on a charge of burglary of a habitation and a parole violation.
Port Arthur (search) is a city of 56,000 people about 90 miles east of Houston
