Al-Arian Trial May Embarrass Politicians, White House

Michael Isikoff and Mark Hosenball write in Newsweek, about Sami Al-Arian's "Friends in High Places"

The lawyer for a Florida-based professor accused of leading a violent Palestinian terror group will seek to embarrass the U.S. government next month by introducing evidence that his client attended numerous meetings at the White House and met with high-level figures in both political parties, including Hillary Clinton and White House political director Karl Rove, according to recent court records.

Former computer science professor Sami Al-Arian—a longstanding prime spokesman for Arab-American political causes—goes on trial next month on charges that he served as a secret leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The PIJ is a State Department-designated terrorist organization that U.S. officials charge is responsible for a rash of suicide bombings and other attacks that led to the deaths of Israeli and American civilians...

Just how much access Al-Arian had is detailed in a letter written to federal prosecutors by his lawyer, William Moffit, that was recently entered into the court record. Moffit states that Al-Arian attended meetings at the White House with both Clinton and Bush every year between 1998 and 2001. In addition, the letter states, Al-Arian also attended a briefing at the Justice Department in July 2001, met with Al Gore in November 1998 and Hillary Clinton in October 1999. It also states that President Bush sent a written apology to Al-Arian’s wife in 2001 when the couple son’s was denied access to the White House—reportedly because of his connection to his father.

“Each of these events occurred at a time that the government is alleging that Dr. Al-Arian was somehow a dangerous terrorist involved in a conspiracy to kill Americans,” Moffit wrote in his letter.

“Dr. Al-Arian’s access to these political figures coupled with the fact there was public-source information regarding many of the contentions that form the basis of the government’s indictment seem to belie the notion that Dr. Al-Arian was in anyway considered by anyone in the intelligence or law enforcement communities to be any kind of threat to the United States or a threat to harm any officials of the United States.”

Al-Arian, a former University of South Florida professor, is charged with conspiring to commit murder, conspiracy to provide material support to a terrorist group, extortion, visa fraud, perjury and other crimes—all in connection with his alleged service as a member of the “Shura Council,” the top governing body of Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

According to the indictment, which relies heavily on secret wiretaps, Al-Arian regularly communicated with top PIJ officials in the Mideast, helping to manage their finances, dispatching funds to the group and relaying messages among its top leaders. In some of the intercepted conversations, Al-Arian allegedly praised suicide bombings, kidnappings and drive-by shootings by PIJ. “I call upon you to try to extend true support to the jihad effort in Palestine so that operations such as these can continue,” he wrote in one fund-raising appeal after a suicide bombing that killed 22 Israelis in 1995....

There is another related story in The St. Petersburg Times profiling the Al-Arian children for those interested.

You don't have partisan blinders on do you Catherine?

Would you make excuses for Bush if it was proven that he had sex with Jeff Gannon or young boys in the Whitehouse.

Clinton was a puke, if for no other reason that he supported the mujahideens holy war against the Catholics and Orthodox in Bosnia Herzegovonia, but standing at his side was (strangely) Joe Lieberman. Still haven't figured that on out.

But it was Al Arian who put Bush in the White HOuse in 2000, he delivered 50,000 Muslim votes to the RNC in Florida which put him well over the target in that close raise.

Let's not forget that Bush is family friends and business partners with the chief financiers of Islamic Terrorism.. the Saudis.

Here's a quote from Sen Bob Graham in "Intelligence Matters", page 169. "on Septermber ll, 2001 we were attacked not attacked by a foreign nation, but we had just discovered that the attackers were actively supported by one, and that state was our supposed friend and ally Saudi Arabia."

This is not the time for blind team loyalty, play that game and you lose, because the guy on the street has nary an inkling of the real agenda, loyalties and relationships are of those who wield power.

They play with us in an ongoing game of psychological warfare and manipulation, trusting that we are boobs.

Point the finger, accuse blame, it needs to be done, but don't absolve, rationalize or apologize for whom you falsely perceive as "your team".

This is not team sports, and Dems and Repubs differ as much as Pepsi and Coke... meaning no substantial difference.

We need real leadership, not leadership bought and owned by foreign and/or corporate interests.

Leadership that is America first, and who actually honor the constitution that they swore to uphold.

You want get that from the Dems or Repubs.

What I found interesting is the end paragraph in which we find out that Al-Arian actively lobbied to have the rules changed so that "secret evidence" could not be used to deport terrorists. So we have a terrorist leader working to undermine laws against terrorists. According to the article Bush was set to deliver a speech to a Muslim group about "secret evidence" on Sept 11, 2001. Islamic terrorist proved on that day just why "secret evidence" and The Patriot Act are necessary.Given Al-Arian's activities it should come as no surprise that Muslim groups are campaigning against the Patriot Act.

Forgot to add Catherine. This isn't about Clinton.Clinton wasn't President on 9-11, and Clinton didn't declare war on Islamic Terrorism.

The Democrats and Republicans should have had a clue about Islam after the first world Trade Center attack by the Blind Shaykh, but with the likes of Grover (Abdullah) Norquist and his friend Karl Rove leading the charge for the RNC and recruiting Muslims for their votes, the continued association of Bush with al Arian, the Islamic Institute, the American Muslim Society is unpardonable and unforgivable.

And we sit today with undeniable proof that Islam has declared war on the west, and President Bush has placed Islamist mullahs and Imams in every government agency with their own offices and funds in Faith Based Initiative Offices.

And the administration sits back blindly while Jihadi Imams are recruited as Chaplains for prisons and the military.

Do yourself a favor read Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives have Inflitrated Washington

Get active and let any Democrat or Republican who kowtows to Muslims know that their days in office are numbered.

"attended numerous meetings at the White House and met with high-level figures in both political parties, including Hillary Clinton and White House political director Karl Rove, according to recent court records."

Grover Norquist is Karl Rove's best friend. I am worried about the islamic influence in Washington. There seems to be too much bending over for islam, Condi Rice is a disappointment. I have always been a conservative, but GWB is really making me suspicious, what with the border having a welcome mat.

We need a new political party, one that is interested in preserving the United States of America, not Mexico or SA. Cubed jokes (I think) about RS for President and our most esteemed posters for cabinet positions, well maybe it shouldn't be a joke. We need real, honest pro-US people in office.

Bush has a horrible record of playing kissy face with known terrorist orgs after 9/11. In fact he said CAIR was a great outfit and so on.

"Get active and let any Democrat or Republican who kowtows to Muslims know that their days in office are numbered."

Right on Giaour. The dhimmitude exuding from all levels of government, starting from the republican controlled White House on down, is sickening.

The first politician that drops the PC bullshit and starts talking truthfully about islam is going to receive wide public support, although will be demonized by the media.

The distinction between republicans and democrats is non-existent with regard to islam. I want a Geert Wilders and I don't care which party he comes from.

This is not team sports, and Dems and Repubs differ as much as Pepsi and Coke... meaning no substantial difference.

Amen. Unfortunetly it seems some here just don't get it Giaour. The partisan diarrhea gets pretty tiring.

Didn't Robert ask for that to be stopped?

f.g.

I want a Geert Wilders, too. But I am afraid that the majority of the western world is still fast asleep. Just yesterday there was a letter in my local paper about how Christianity is a bloody religion and islam is just a lovely religion. It was written by a caucasion man from a rural area. People spout off without knowing what they are talking about. I wrote a reply to his letter, it will be interesting to see if my letter will be published.

Catherine, your logorrhea gets wearisome after the first post. Or before, depending on how often one hangs out here.

As for the subject of the article, a little embarrassment would be salutary for the president (Arab hand-holder) and other politicians. Forget partisan politics: Every major honcho in this country seems to be blinded either by fear or big wads of Saudi cash. Or both.

We do need a Geert Wilders to tell us the truth.

Always remember that democrats and liberals are failures in everything they attempt. Their utopian ideas are devoid of reality and the results are a dumbed down society dependant on government handouts.

It is already on Newsweeks website. Take a look.

CROSS:

"Always remember that democrats and liberals are failures in everything they attempt. Their utopian ideas are devoid of reality and the results are a dumbed down society dependant on government handouts."

So what? Why does that mean that a saudi boot-lackey like Bush needs to be defended at every turn? Bush is a huge disappointment: Iraq, immigration, and the steady pounding of the 'islam is a religion of peace' line hasn't scored his administration any points in my book.

We need to be able to call it like it is, without all of this knee-jerk partisan bickering. Leaving the in-fighting for the muslims serves our interests best.

National security takes on many fronts not just Islamic troublemakers. N. Korea is emboldened and probably has a nuke thanks to democrat dumbasses Bill Clinton and his Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Look at the losers Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, on and on same old tired out dated BS.

The Main Reason for the Present Middle East Conflict: ISLAM and not "The Territories"
by Jan Willem van der Hoeven, Director
International Christian Zionist Center
In The Dhimmi Bat Ye’or writes (page 45):
The jihad is a global conception that divides the peoples of the world into two irreconcilable camps: that of the dar al-Harb, the “Territory of War,” which covers those regions controlled by the infidels; and the dar al-Islam, “the Territory of Islam,” the Muslim homeland where Islamic law reigns. The jihad is the normal and permanent state of war between the Muslims and the dar al-Harb, a war that can only end with the final domination over unbelievers and the absolute supremacy of Islam throughout the world.

Geert Wilders

“The Netherlands has been too tolerant to intolerant people for too long,” he said. “We should not import a retarded political Islamic society to our country. There is nothing to be ashamed of to say this. It’s not Islam. I speak out against the facts.”

I agree, but if this is all he has to worry about what’s the big deal. Running the US is very different and more complicated that running little tiny Netherlands. No comparison at all. It a one point issue country. The US is concerned about the world, the Dutch only worries about the Dutch.

Look at how the Russians are still not to be trusted.

Russia is accusing the U.S. and some of its allies in the War on Terror (search) of conducting spy operations inside its borders. Russian Security Service chief Nikolai Patrushev (search) says the U.S., Britain, Kuwait and even Saudi Arabia are using non-governmental organizations as fronts for intelligence gathering activity, insisting, "Our opponents are steadily and consistently trying to weaken Russian influence in the Commonwealth of Independent States and the international arena as a whole."

Nothing said about muslims from Putin and his flunkies?

Why don't we hear complaints about the silence and ineptitude of European countries and their leaders inaction and liberal unwillingness to confront terrorism?

What about European countries that are far closer to the source of the problem, why aren't they doing more?

You cant have a fair trial if a muslim is on the jury.
You cant put a muslim on the stand.

Why should the U.S. care about Russian influence in the former soviet republics? Better to have the Russians in control than 'islamic revolutions' the likes of which Uzbekistan is tasting. The cold war ended a decade ago, and the soviets lost. The new Russia should be seen as an ally, not a threat.

The U.S. being 'concerned about the whole world' is part of the problem. The American government's first duty should be to the people of the United States.

Here is a tip. Look closely at muhamMADeans and you will see their lies.

Look at "Shukri" here for example.

This is a complicated matter that needs to be dealt with carefully.

In general it is undesirable but there are time when this is necessary.

For example, sometimes, it is best not let the terrorists know what you know about them or they will

1. Know where they are being exposed

2. And they will then cover up that exposure and thus make it harder for security forces to monitor muhammadean terrorists.

It is also needed to protect the identity and safety of the sources. If you tell them the secret evidence then they might be able to trace back the source of the information and then kill him.

Normally secret evidences are not good but this is not a normal time and we are not dealing with normal people. We are dealing with muslims remember.

And I am not sure if these secret evidences are to remain secret forever anyway. They may be like the secret files of soviet spies some of which are being revealed now, revealing the identities of secret communist spies. Those secret files were quite accurate.

See how muhamMADeans whine at every little thing about others but remeain quite and silently supports them when muslims commit gross atrocities.

Secret evidence or not the legal systems in the Western world or even just non-muhamMadean world are far superior to the legal systems of the Islamic countries and the Sharia.

The American government's first duty should be to the people of the United States.

How so?

Why don't we hear complaints about the silence and ineptitude of European countries and their leaders inaction and liberal unwillingness to confront terrorism?

Nuclear arms reportedly found in Iraq
Relax, Mr. Kerry: nukes, but no WMD's. And seriously, why isn't this on the front page of the New York Times and the Washington Post? From UPI, with thanks to "Allah":
Baghdad, Iraq, Jul. 21 (UPI) -- Iraqi security reportedly discovered three missiles carrying nuclear heads concealed in a concrete trench northwest of Baghdad, official sources said Wednesday.

PSS why do you think the polis were running so fast and pissed about have to use the same doors of the masses??

"The American government's first duty should be to the people of the United States.

How so?"

Well, for starters the U.S. military could be completely withdrwan from Iraq and place on the Mexican border instead. That would be a far greater impact on national security than propping up the 'islamic republic of Iraq'.

Bush is currently in the driver's seat and his Administration could take a hundred baby steps to ostracize the Saudis and their nefarious influence in Washington without jeopardizing our precious supply of oil.

A good place to start would be to cut all ties, recognition, sensitivity trainings, and WH dinners with CAIR -- which is, after all, nothing less than a mouthpiece for the Saudis in the US.

There is a lively debate here at JW as to whether FMAT is sincere in its anti-terror, anti-jihad public face but almost any Islamic group would be a more benign alternative to CAIR which should be shunned as the official face of Muslim America.

Al-Qa'ida book on managing savagery
An intriguing new Al-Qaeda book on how to reestablish the caliphate by stages has appeared on the Internet. From Isralert, with thanks to Enzo:
On 2 March, "Irhabi3," a new member in Al-Ikhlas forum, posted a link to a new book "Managing Savagery - The Most Crucial Period to Be Faced by the Nation," by Abu-Bakr Naji. The 113-page book was published by the al-Qa'ida-affiliated Center for Islamic Studies and Research. In the book, Naji presented an elaborate plan for the recreation of an Islamic Nation, starting in limited areas, and spreading worldwide. He called for scattered small attacks against "enemy interests" to cause security disarray, seizure of power by the mujahidin, and establishment of the Islamic nation. In his introduction, the author said that the book discusses the subject of Savagery Management in general, and only goes into details when absolutely necessary. He said that the minute details will be left to the experts and to the actual leaders in the field....
The book opened with a description of the state of the world superpowers and the situation in the Muslim world and claimed that societies have faced fast moral deterioration. Naji argued that, according to God's intent for his creation, morality and social justice can only be restored through power and fighting, and not through peaceful means like the ones promoted by Gandhi. He stressed the importance of his plan, as explained in the book, to use citizens and the mujahidin's organized forces to restore the Muslim nation. He suggested applying his plan first to a small group of countries: Saudi Arabia, Northwest Africa, Nigeria, Pakistan, Jordan, and Yemen, before spreading worldwide. He presented the necessary three major phases to establish his proposed nation:

Heads up if you're concerned about border security, because McCain (spit) and Kennedy (spit) have teamed up to legalize another ten million plus illegals.
I think it is time for both Mr Kennedy and McCain to retire.....
Plus, word from sources inside the Border Patrol say that they are being told to keep arrests down (AKA let illegals into the US) in order to give the impression that the MMP was a failure.

Nuclear arms? Don't believe everything you read. Disinformation is everywhere today.

Better check your sources!

http://fearofclowns.com/2004/07/upi-cant-even-get-bunk-story-right.html

Some of you here are too focused on the US only.

On the border security issue for example you all are looking only at problem at the end.

I agree that the border should be more secure and illegals deported and all but that is not the whole solution.

You should also try to stop people trying to get illegaly into the US in the first place.

For example, Mexico should be made to take more responsibility as well in stopping this. And there is a sharia State called Canada up north too. Don't be too focused on the South only.

Your "Fortress America" mentality will lead to disaster.

Don't just stay home and wait for them to come. Go out there and get them wherever they are.

Remember that the best form of defence is attack.

Don't just sit at home like a sitting duck.

Disinformation is everywhere today. Better check your sources!

Clarity and truth are secondary to sensationalism and grandstanding for some individuals BillR. You might as well be talking to the wall.

Might want to check with me first, before assuming a political affiliation based on my screen name. It's not so black and white anymore, the majority of voters (36%) now identify themselves as Independents.
I am an Independent who voted for Bush in 2004.
I am disgusted and disheartened by his blatant disregard for our border security. I hoped he would be better on this issue then Kerry, and now it appears that he is undermining the work done by the Minutemen, and placing US citizens at risk to make a cheap political point.
IF those BP agents in Nacos are telling the truth, illegals and potential terrorists are being given leave to wander across the border with impunity. And I doubt that decision was made at the local level.
IF THIS IS TRUE, it SHOULD be an impeachable offense, particularly given that we are at war.

How so?"
Well, for starters the U.S. military could be completely withdrwan from Iraq and place on the Mexican border instead. That would be a far greater impact on national security than propping up the 'islamic republic of Iraq'.

The fighting forces in Iraq are too good to just sit around and do border patrol work. What a waste of training and talent that would be. Better to let them keep killing insurgents. We should pull enough non-combat troops out of Europe and put them on the Mexican border though.

A nice one from WND.com for those who might have missed it.

Saudi Arabia's cousin-marriage epidemic
Analyst cites negative health effects of age-old practice in kingdom

"The people of the Arabian Peninsula for centuries have scratched a life from the hostile desert and followed a simple rule when choosing a marriage partner: Keep it in the family," Ashbury explains. "Many marry their first cousins in arranged marriages to this day. In the past, this was done to help conserve resources and contribute to the clan's support and defense. Consanguinity (marriage between people that are blood relatives) has been practiced in the Middle East for over 100 generations, even before the introduction of Islam in the seventh century.

"This is an ultra sensitive issue for the government and Islamic religious establishment. It has been compounded by the Prophet Muhammad's own family. His daughter, Fatimah, was married to her cousin Ali, who was a revered Imam. Several other members of the Prophet's family and inner circle were married to close blood relatives."

Writes Ashbury: "Research shows the Saudi rate for some diseases is 20 times higher than in populations where consanguinity is not practiced. This has lead recently to Wahhabi clerics gingerly counseling young men to 'choose a wife carefully with an eye to health.'

"It is estimated that over 60 percent of Saudis marry first or second cousins, which is the highest in the world. However, the numbers are still staggering in Iraq (58 percent), Kuwait (55 percent), Jordan (50 percent) and the UAE (48 percent)."

"Yet how can advocates of fundamentalist Islam recognize the latter with their brain cells so damaged by centuries of cousin marriage?"

UN experts find evidence of WMD
By Edith M Lederer

UN weapons experts have found 20 engines used in Iraq's banned Al Samoud 2 missiles in a Jordanian scrap yard, along with other equipment that could be used to produce weapons of mass destruction.

Acting chief UN inspector Demetrius Perricos disclosed the discovery today in a closed-door briefing to the UN Security Council.
According to the text of his presentation, Perricos said a similar missile engine had been found in a scrap yard in the Dutch port of Rotterdam, while a request had been made to Turkey, which has also received scrap metal from Iraq. The discoveries raise questions about the fate of material and equipment that could be used to produce biological and chemical weapons as well as banned long-range missiles.

UN inspectors: Saddam shipped out WMD before war and after
SPECIAL TO WORLD TRIBUNE.COM
Friday, June 11, 2004
The United Nations has determined that Saddam Hussein shipped weapons of mass destruction components as well as medium-range ballistic missiles before, during and after the U.S.-led war against Iraq in 2003.
The UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission briefed the Security Council on new findings that could help trace the whereabouts of Saddam's missile and WMD program.
The briefing contained satellite photographs that demonstrated the speed with which Saddam dismantled his missile and WMD sites before and during the war. Council members were shown photographs of a ballistic missile site outside Baghdad in May 2003, and then saw a satellite image of the same location in February 2004, in which facilities had disappeared.
UNMOVIC acting executive chairman Demetrius Perricos told the council on June 9 that "the only controls at the borders are for the weight of the scrap metal, and to check whether there are any explosive or radioactive materials within the scrap," Middle East Newsline reported.

Pretty much everybody is aware of how porous our border is.

I'm very PO'd about this latest report, and want some accountability from those in DC who are supposed to defend this country. Instead, we get sneaky backdoor politico games while the real, very SERIOUS problem is glossed over with some slick DC bullpucky.

My words aren't making us easy pickings, the lack of courage and leadership from DC on border security is.

Catherine-

IF THIS IS TRUE, then Bush, or someone in his administration, is willing to give terrorists a chance to slip over the border, RATHER THEN GIVE UP THE CHEAP LABOR FROM MEXICO AND SOUTH AMERICA.

They would be willing to play russian roulette with the lives of their fellow citizens in order to make a buck.

A betrayal of the highest order.

This needs to be fully investigated.

Catherine-
I very much doubt that Nicely would have done this without orders from higher up.
As a former fed, I know how the system works.
Believe me, that kind of decision is not made at the field level.

I don't think that the President is all knowing, all seeing. And I also hold Congress accountable. However, there is a deliberate attempt by the Bush administration to open up our borders, one that is impossible to ignore.

For example, Bush signs bill implementing 911 Commission recommendations. The bill calls for 2000 new border patrol agents a year for five years. Bush asks for 234. Ditto interior enforcement. There have been 22 actions against employers who hire illegals in the last year, while there are thousands (including federal contractors) who do so.

Asa Hutchinson calls off a new 12 man interior enforcement team in California, because they are TOO SUCCESSFUL.

The federal government will now help support the cost of illegal alien health care. There are 40 million Americans without health insurance.

Vincente Fox and Foreign Minister Debrez are openly discussing eliminating the border with the US. President Bush says nothing.

The Mexican government prints a guide on how to move illegally to the US. The guide is distributed by Mexican consulates in the US.
No protest from the US government.

When the Minutemen head to the US/Mexico border to peacefully assist the border patrol, the Mexican government threatened to sue these private citizens. President Bush, in a show of solidarity, called these patriots "vigilantes".

Illegals have been caught working in numerous "sensitive" areas, including a nuclear power plant in Florida. Bush does not require federal contractors to verify employee immigration status.

Thousands of illegal OTMs, including those from "countries of interest" such as Iraq, Iran, and Syria, are released into the US population due to lack of detention beds. The vast majority of these (I think 95%) fail to show up for their immigration hearings (surprise). Bush says that he can be trusted to protect the American people from another terrorist attack.

The US government has spent 5.8 billion in the last three years incarcerating criminal illegals. Bush says that these are just "good hearted people who come here to work".

Rather then thanking the Minuteman founders for their hard work, the head of Homeland Security and the Border Patrol Chief in Arizona ban Chris Simcox (a MM founder) from an Arizona press conference on border security, in spite of his having valid press credentials.

The REAL ID provisions pass. Fox threatens to go to "multilateral bodies" because Americans are now requiring the same level of ID security as Mexico. No word of protest from Bush.

Bush goes to Georgia (not the state) and makes a passionate speech about "respecting their territorial integrity", while tens of thousands of criminal illegals are released into the US population.

The Bush government is spending billions protecting the borders of Iraq. He turns a blind eye to border violations at home.

As Truman said, the buck stops in the White House.

The unemployed shipyard workers and others that are out of work due to base closings could be retrained as border patrol agents. Why not do this instead of paying them unemployment. Have you seen some of the democrat mayors and governors whose towns and states are effected, whining and complaining about the situation and of course blaming it on Bush? Too bad they can’t create jobs and attract business on their own.

Okay relaity ck!!

Borter potrol were deverted to the Air Marshel program after 9/11/2001

Did you know that??

The congressman in that area is a big problem whants to shut down some of the Bombing range to save some stupid bug or something and he is one of the people who don't want illegals stopped because he is Mexican!!

Nicley was not fired in San Deigo but had given oders not to stop Illegals and because he was Union was moved to AZ!!!

And I know he orded people not to make arrests before Bush even became President!!!

70 thousand illegals were arrested in AZ in April 2005 and that is whith the Mexican Army on their side pushing them to another point!!

Bush want to bring the roches into the light so the islamic monsters have no place to hide!!

What is your Idea other than placeing Blame??

I don't really like Bush plan but I hear nothing else and remember this is going to take an act of congress!!

Remember what was going on at the time before 9/11 there were heavey lobbing going on about the screat info the mulsums had every Black thinking we had black helos with when every American took a Sh-t???

Nope, not down in a well, just stuck with a choice between two poor candidates for President. Kery was going flat out for amnesty.
I hoped that the more conservative wing of the Republican Party would keep Bush in check. I was, unfortunately, dead wrong.

I do have ideas that I pass on to my elected reps on a regular basis, and I'm active in other ways. I hope to be on the California Border with the MMP this fall. And I will definately do everything in my power to support the proposed California Border Patrol mentioned above.

Some items of interest that can help offset the Bush agenda are: (1) the Citizenship Reform Act of 2005 HR 698 that will remove the anchor baby provision, and (2) House Resolution 50, that will disapprove of the Social Security Agreement between Mexico and the US.

I now declare myself officially blogged out. Catherine, it's been a pleasure debating with you.

Cross writes "Always remember that democrats and liberals are failures in everything they attempt. Their utopian ideas are devoid of reality and the results are a dumbed down society dependant on government handouts. "

You mean liberals like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates?

Its always fun when a 14 year old posts to the internet.

I read inclusivist-exclusivist politics in the above exchanges. Bush's inclusivist policies toward Muslim vermin rest on his untenable belief that Christians-Jews and the murder cult, were all founded by Abraham. The fact that Muslim dogma forces belief that Jewish and Christian scripture is a Satanic distortion of original Abrahamite Islam, cannot penetrate this narrow minded President's brain.

Think a little. A subjective accusation that US soldier-guards tossed a Koran down the toilet, has led to 4 days of bloody rioting in the hands-out dog's breakfast of Afghanistan, and elsewhere. Ergo: riots will follow any similar Muslim claim. Ergo: Jihadis will make similar unsubstantiated accusations. Ergo: write these people off, en toto, as the untrustworthy and inherently dangerous savages that they are. Destroy their territorial-demographic sewers, and rebuild them on our terms. Repatriate the Anglo-American oil fields, and let those pigs wallow in their social idiocy, if they don't co-operate with their superiors.

Don't toss Bush rhetoric about nominal "freedom of religion" at me. Islam is unconscionable. Respect for the Muslim hate-murder cult degrades humanity. Their home countries are ideological toxic waste dumps, and their presence in Western Civilization, is a poison pill that is draining the lifeblood out of the Free World. Anti-Jihadi Exclusivism and Western Supremacism is the only option. If Bush-Rice insist on dragging America to its knees, then Red-State Southern Baptists, etc must align with enlightened Senators and Congressmen, and crush the Inclusivist menace.

We can't remain free, while allowing fast-breeding enslavers to pollute our lands.

After reading Paul Sperry's Infiltration I think all our politicians from left and right are to be blamed equally (http://www.sperryfiles.com/characters.shtml).

The only hope we have is when ordinary people like us stand up. We really need a Orange revolution like Ukraine....I really hope we have a million person march. We need to tell our leaders that we cannot be hoodwinked any more - Islam is not a religion of peace and Saudi Arabia is not our friend and Muslims are not patriots - their loyalty is towards Saudi Arabia, not US

Please talk to your family members, church members, parents at PTA meeting, coworkers during lunch...just talk about it with as many people as you can...lot of people do not have a clue about the danger we are in.

OT but wanted to bet the libs to the punch about the recurting??

D.C. Paramedic Shortage Reaches Dangerous Proportions; One Third of Paramedic Positions Unfilled
WASHINGTON, DC: The District of Columbia is facing a shortage of paramedics that could hamper response times and patient care, especially if the number of vacancies keeps growing, according to a D.C. Council member and people on the force. Last week, five paramedics resigned to take jobs at other area agencies, which offer better pay and benefits, fire department and union officials said. The recent staffing problems have forced supervisors to make paramedics work overtime on a regular basis, the officials said.

The departures pushed the number of vacancies to 57 out of 166 positions for paramedics. As many as 30 more emergency medical workers, including paramedics and less-trained technicians, could leave by July, according to a draft report prepared by the council's Judiciary Committee.

"We have to ensure we have adequate medical attention on these calls," said D.C. Council member Phil Mendelson (D-At Large), chairman of the committee. "I do have a sense that the public is now safe, but that doesn't mean there isn't a problem lurking."

Adrian H. Thompson, chief of the D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department, said he is concerned about the shortage, adding that the city is taking steps to retain and recruit paramedics.

Salaries for D.C. paramedics range from about $40,000 to $54,000. Fire officials and paramedics said they believe that medical workers were leaving mostly because they could get far better retirement benefits elsewhere. D.C. officials are planning to study ways to boost retirement benefits for paramedics, officials said.

Thompson and other top fire officials said the staffing shortage is not as dire as it appears because response times are improving and the department is evolving in the way it approaches emergencies. The department handles about 110,000 medical calls a year. -- Source: Michael Lutzky, The Washington Post. can be found at: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/05/06/AR2005050601374.html

WOW OH MY!!!

I am so happy I found this site...I felt so alone about this Islam situation. Im makes no sense to me that our leaders and millions of others do not understand this. It's too simple. I was ignorant about them but then they attacked...again and again......so I wanted to know why?..what drove them? When I read the "so called" Muslim "holy books" the answer was right there. This is no Religion...its an Ideology of hate and war like Nazism. Well anyway I am just so glad that there are alot of other people who understand and speak out. Keep up the fight.

(No politicians). No morons. No muslims. No mosques.

Someone save my sanity.

Read, on Al Jazeera, that Condi, before a senate ctte thursday, said, as a special message to moslems everywhere,

" Disrespect for the holy Quran is not now, nor has it ever been, tolerated in the United States."

Condi, George, i disrespect the quran.

Happy you are here, pocadon. Spread the word; at least let more and more people know what's what--even if those in government are either afraid, blind, on the payroll of the enemy, or in bed with this enemy. Let our legislators know that we know who our enemy is, even if they pretend not to acknowledge it by its name.

Informed Christian: I'm with you that Islam can't be reformed; and it's a lousy religion, too. Neither can Christianity be reformed, for our "Reform" was a recovery of the sourcebook and using it to criticize centuries of accretion. However, I'm of the mind that Muslims can change their minds about things, and sometimes do. Also, there are those who go the whole nine yards with their religion, who nonetheless say, "Who made OBL Caliph?" and head straight to the police if they hear news about someone planning a bombing.

Tell me, Shukri, if we Christians tamper with our scriptues, why does the Roman Catholic Bible still tell us that forbidding to marry is a "doctrine of devils" at First Timothy 4, even though it contradicts their teaching on clerical celibacy?

Pocadon~ Welcome to this site!

Prepare to be hit by so many POVs that you feel like a ping-pong ball :)

...And Yes. The Bush White House is being Very disappointing.

But I will still contend they are the better choice. I don't think we would have Ever heard about:

Mass Graves in Iraq.

The Billions that Saddam, some of the leadership in the UN, and a slew of government officials in Germany and France (among others) had siphoned off the oil-for-food scandal, at the Expense of the Iraqis.

...and I'd be curious to see how our ambassador to the UN, if appointed by a Gore presidency, would have been voting on such things as the Sudan genocide, by now.
If the word 'genocide' would have even been brought into the argument without the pressure of a stronger US government.

And my time is running short, everyone have at it!

...And Yes. The Bush White House is being Very disappointing.

Gary? I totally agree!

Just having Bush put the U.N. on the Hotseat once and for all [and O boy - did it get HOT - didn't it? - with all their marching protesters?] - was the most enlightening thing seen in a long time!

The U.N. is Islam:

The United States is their biggest tax payer. [The tax required by Islam]

Palestine is their favorite project

They gave Syria a place of honor

Libya was elected to chair the United Nations Commission on Human Rights

They broke their necks defending Saddam

They cleared Sudan of Genocide in Darfur

A petition signed by almost 90,000 people in 32 countries was presented to the U.N last July 2004 to act to protect "Muslims who choose to convert to another faith."

There was never any reply from the U.N..

They defended the Albanian Muslims against the Serbs - [the Clinton administration fell for it - as the True Christians watched in utter amazement]

And the list goes on

The U.N. condemned the wall that Israel built to keep those out who just want to destroy Israel. [With the name Israel around - Muhammad can never be the prophet that Islam claims him to be - because of the Holy One of Israel]

Mat 12:33 the tree is known by his fruit.

So yes! President Bush was BY FAR the better choice!

Yeah, Pocadon, what Gary said--welcome to the site! It really is nice to find that there are so MANY who have learned the truth about Islam. What makes it even more interesting is that people from so many different belief and non-belief systems agree about Islam, and even though they throw rocks at each other from time to time, we still come together in the face of a common threat.

Enjoy!

I agree Kepha they can change their mind but not the facts of their religion. Let them change their mind and become apostates, not moderate devils.

"Also, there are those who go the whole nine yards with their religion, who nonetheless say, "Who made OBL Caliph?" "

You are being fooled Kepha.

First of all "those who go the nine yards with their religion" will be terrorists and will want to humiliate you as a dhimmi.

As for Osama BL, read carefully. They are saying that they don't support his jihad terrorism because they don't think that he is a true caliph or has the authority. They are not saying that they don't believe in jihad or killing of the Kuffar. Once someone they think is the true caliph comes then they will join him and declare jihad on you and will terrorise you. Look careful. They are good liars.

Once again, stay away from muslims, all of them, moderate or not.

I can't stay away from Muslims, Informed Christian, and neither can a number of others of our religion. Some Muslims are starting to inquire about "religious alternatives" at churches I've been to; and even as Islamofascism is gaining, so are the numbers of "MBB's" (Muslim Background [Christian] Believers). It's another bit of fallout we've gotten because of Muslim immigration in the West. Since Christ is in the business of giving the water of life to thirsty souls, who am I to turn people away?

BINGO!

REALLY GOOD ADVICE - considering what's in the Koran

Well Beth, I agree that those who don't bring the true doctrine are not to be received, but what are you to do when someone says, "I now believe that Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh; and see that the Qur'an is wrong--human at best, demonic at worst--while the Old and New Testament are true. What must I do next?"

In such a case, don't you think you should explain what baptism and confession of Christ are all about?

In such a case, don't you think you should explain what baptism and confession of Christ are all about?

Kepha - I believe in letting the Word of God explain it.

Of course - there is nothing wrong with sharing - by pointing to the words - and reading them together with others -

but the point I was making - was that if the Koran is not confronted - forcefully! - then the fruits that it sows will continue - and they are very bitter

Who brought the Islamic Jihad leader to the White House?

Indictment of Dr. Sami Al-Arian (PDF file)

Dr. Sami Al-Arian was indicted February 20, 2003 for serving as the head of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in the United States and Secretary of the "Shura Council," or worldwide governing group of the PIJ. He was indicted along with seven other members of PIJ, some of whom worked at Al-Arian’s University of South Florida based think tank.

MEMBERS OF THE PALESTINIAN ISLAMIC JIHAD ARRESTED, CHARGED WITH RACKETEERING AND CONSPIRACY TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO TERRORISTS
Press release, US Department of Justice, 20 February 2003

Attorney General Ashcroft: "Our record on terrorist financing is clear: We will hunt down the suppliers of terrorist blood money, we will shut down these sources, and we will ensure that both terrorists and their financiers meet the same, swift, certain justice of the United States of America."

Probe of Muslims intensifies
By Jerry Seper, The Washington Times, 25 August 2003

A task force of federal agents has ratcheted up a two-year-old antiterrorism investigation aimed at several Virginia-based Islamic charities suspected of diverting millions of dollars to terror network al Qaeda and other militant radicals...

The investigation, according to the affidavit, has focused on "a group of individuals" suspected of providing material support to terrorists and of money laundering and income-tax evasion through use of related for-profit companies and ostensibly charitable entities under their control.

Affidavit: Al-Arian's group got money from Saudi charity
By Mary Jacoby, St. Petersburg Times, 1 August 2003

"Sami Al-Arian founded the Tampa Bay Coalition for Justice and Peace in 1997 to protest the government's antiterrorism strategies. Now, it turns out, his civil liberties activism may have been funded by a Saudi-backed charity that itself is linked to terrorism, a newly released affidavit says."

"The International Institute of Islamic Thought donated $10,000 to the coalition on Nov. 1, 2001 - just weeks after the Sept. 11 attacks, according to the affidavit."

"The sworn statement by U.S. Customs Service agent David Kane was used to obtain search warrants from a federal judge for a March 2002 raid of a web of Saudi-linked charities and businesses in Hernon, Va., that are suspected of funneling cash to Islamic extremists - including, allegedly, Al-Arian. A federal judge in Virginia unsealed a heavily redacted version of the affidavit this week at the government's request."

Former professor is accused of terror plot
UPI, 1 August 2003

"The Tampa Tribune says the accusations against Sami Al-Arian, who had taught at the University of South Florida, were made by a government agent in a newly released court affidavit. The agent said Al-Arian used his home in Tampa to set up the group known as the Palestinian Islamic Jihad."

"It said Al-Arian also helped raise money for the group and helped other Jihad leaders enter the United States."

Affidavit unsealed from Muslim probe
By Jerry Markon, Washington Post, 1 August 2003

"A federal judge has unsealed an affidavit from a U.S. customs agent that was filed in support of last year's raids on at least 16 Muslim homes, schools and businesses in Northern Virginia."

"Much of the affidavit from Senior Special Agent David Kane was redacted because the investigation is continuing. But the affidavit seeks to tie the finances of the raided businesses with such terror organizations as Hamas and Islamic Jihad and with Sami al-Arian, the Florida college professor charged this year with conspiracy to commit murder via suicide attacks in Israel..."

"The raids, conducted over two days in March 2002, targeted companies and charities in Herndon, Falls Church and elsewhere in Fairfax County. The only raided organization not redacted from the affidavit was the International Institute for Islamic Thought..."

"Sources close to the investigation have said the agents were seeking evidence of money laundering and tax evasion as well as possible ties to a worldwide financial empire that Western governments have long suspected of funding terrorism."

Agent: Al-Arian organized Jihad from his home
By Michael Fechter, Tampa Bay Online, 1 August 2003

"Former University of South Florida professor Sami Al-Arian organized a notorious Palestinian terrorist group from his home in Tampa, a government agent says in a newly released court document."

"The organization, known as Palestinian Islamic Jihad, has claimed credit for attacks that have killed at least 100 people in Israel and the occupied territories."

"Al-Arian also played a crucial role in writing the Jihad's constitution, the agent says, helped raise money for the organization, helped other Jihad leaders enter the United States, and possessed plans for an elaborate Palestinian espionage operation in the United States."

It is time to rethink the defense of Al-Arian
By Mary Jo Melone, St. Petersburg Times, 3 August 2003

"For a long time, I have defended Sami Al-Arian."

"The former University of South Florida professor indicted last February deserves the chance the law gives him to reply to his indictment in federal court, I said. We should stand by until the charges against him - that he is the leader of a U.S. faction of a Palestinian terrorist group and one of its chief fundraisers - can be aired."

"But the government released an outline of some of its evidence last week, and it is no longer possible to simply look away...."

"Some of the information is not new. But presented in one 17-page document, it reads like a CliffsNotes version of the Al-Arian case."

"The records include plans for military training for Muslims in America loyal to the Palestinian cause."

"If true, this is not the work of a man having his academic freedom and civil rights trashed by government authorities."

"If true, this is a man the government has good reason to pursue."

"The computer contains a draft and final version of a document called "The Manifesto of the Islamic Jihad in Palestine." According to the affidavit, the Jihad's philosophy was based on "rejection of any peaceful solution for the Palestinian cause." The United States is called "the great Satan America" in the manifesto...."

Islamists power play
By Frank J. Gaffney, Jr., The Center for Security Policy, 21 April 2003

"...groups like the American Muslim Council (AMC), the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America and the Muslim Students Association have, to varying degrees, been quite outspoken in their opposition to many of the President's domestic and foreign policies in the war on terror."

"For example, pro-Islamist groups have strenuously opposed Mr. Bush's liberation of Iraq, playing leading roles in the anti-war movement's mass demonstrations and organizational activities. Their agenda has lately been preoccupied with denouncing and undermining any Bush law-enforcement and homeland security initiatives they can portray as unfair to Muslims. They deny compelling evidence contained in a 50-count indictment against one of their most prominent spokesmen, Sami Al-Arian, that he and a number of his associates were directly involved in and/or supportive of international terrorist activities. Some are even suing the President, Attorney General John Ashcroft and others to block some of the Administration's efforts to protect the American people from further Islamist attacks."

What do Saudi 'charities' in the U.S. want to keep secret?
By Matthew Epstein, National Review Online, 19 March 2003

"In an abrupt change of course, several Saudi-financed charities and corporations targeted by the Department of Justice in a terrorism investigation have asked the government not to unseal a federal search-warrant affidavit, after originally demanding that the affidavit be made public.

The pre-arrest al-Arian defense team in the media has fallen silent
By Joel Mowbray, National Review, 19 March 2003

"Now that al-Arian is facing multiple felony counts — based on solid evidence including documents and wiretaps — his defenders are no longer singing from the same hymnal. Some — the Arab and Muslim groups — have dug in their heels, while others — the journalists — are either silent or agnostic."

Saudi form of Islam wars with moderates
By Mary Jacoby and Graham Brink, St. Petersburg Times, 11 March 2003

"For more than three decades, Saudi-backed organizations have poured billions of dollars into the United States and other countries to fund Wahhabi mosques, Islamic schools, conferences and education for imams, or Muslim spiritual leaders."

"Some money comes directly from the Saudi government. Other funds come from wealthy Saudis, investigators say. In the United States, some of the money flowed through a web of Islamic organizations now under investigation for financing terrorism..."

GOP jihad: Norquist-Al Arian-Rove connection damages president's tough-on-terror image
By Joe Conason, Salon.com, 6 March 2003

"What does seem obvious in the aftermath of the Florida professor's indictment, however, is that top Republican strategists sought the support of Al-Arian's voting bloc in 2000 -- and that his bust is stoking internal warfare among conservatives, with implications for 2004."

"While this remarkable story has been touched upon in the mainstream media -- notably in Newsweek and the Washington Post -- the main actors, besides Al-Arian himself, have so far avoided the consequences. As I've mentioned before, the chief sponsor of Muslim influence in the Republican Party over the past few years has been Grover Norquist, the peripatetic lobbyist/activist associated with Americans for Tax Reform..."

Undermining the war on terror
By Dr. J. Michael Waller, Insight, 4 March 2003

"Terrorists and their supporters are doing their best to weave themselves into the political fabric of American society, say specialists in homeland security. They are operating front groups and charities to finance their operations, and they are running influence operations to weaken federal antiterrorism laws under the guise of protecting civil liberties."

Did a Muslim professor use activism as a cloak for terror?
By Michael Isikoff, Newsweek, 3 March 2003

"Al-Arian certainly didn’t act like a sponsor of suicide bombings. Far from keeping to the shadows, he repeatedly lobbied Congress on civil-liberties issues, made thousands of dollars in campaign contributions to influential members of Congress and renounced violence during appearances on TV talk shows. In June 2001 Al-Arian was invited to a White House briefing for 150 Muslim American activists, at which political director Karl Rove talked about the Bush administration’s “outreach” efforts."

Eight down, many more to go (or www.townhall.com)
By Cal Thomas, The Washington Times, 26 February 2003

"The Bush administration has been careful to separate the terrorists from Muslims generally. The problem is he has done so in the company of some Muslim leaders who do not preach or practice what the president says they do."

Outreach to terrorists? (PDF)
By Frank J. Gaffney, Jr., New York Post, 25 February 2003

"Sami Al-Arian -- and those who share his extremist views, defend his conduct and have tried to legitimate him politically -- are not on President Bush's side in the war on terror. They should, therefore, be seen as unfit to be by this side in implementing his strategy for winning the war."

The strange case of Sami Al-Arian

Controversial professor arrested in Florida was White House guest
By Kenneth R. Timmerman, Insight, 21 February 2003

"A controversial professor who was arrested by federal agents in Tampa, Fla., on Feb. 20 had sufficient political connections to be invited to the White House in late May or early June 2001, three months before the al-Qaeda attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and to have a photograph taken with President George W. Bush..."

Florida professor, 7 others are accused of terror funding (PDF)
By Jess Bravin and Glenn R. Simpson, The Wall Street Journal, 21 February 2003

"A group headed by Mr. Arian, the National Coalition to Protect Political Freedom, once gave an award to Mr. [Grover] Norquist. Last year, Mr. Arian visited the Islamic Institute's Washington offices, which shares offices with Mr. Norquist's Americans for Tax Reform..."

"The Islamic Institute has received at least $31,000 from a network of Islamic organizations in Virginia under investigation by federal authorities for suspected ties to terrorism, canceled checks and tax records show. Investigators have said in court papers that the basis of that probe is a financial relationship between the Virginia groups and Mr. Arian's alleged Palestinian Islamic Jihad fronts..."

Muslim extremists denounce their critics as 'racists,' 'bigots'
By David Keene, The Hill, 19 February 2003

"President Bush has come under some criticism recently for his outreach to the U.S. Muslim community because administration officials have apparently met with some groups that have ties -- direct or indirect -- with extremist groups here and in the Middle East...."

"These groups are, in the main, acting as de facto defenders of the sponsors of extremist terrorism. Those who would defend this country are not lumping all Muslims together. It is the Wahhabis and their fellow travelers that see the Muslim population as a homogeneous sea in which they swim, hide and operate."

"I have run into these zealots twice in the last six months or so. On both occasions their targets were recognized experts on Islam and terrorism who they denounced as 'racists,' 'bigots' and men 'who know absolutely nothing about Islam or the Middle East.'"

Saudi connection to America's Muslims
By Mona Charen, Townhall.com, 18 February 2003

"...in seeking out American Muslims to praise and embrace, the president has been led into a hornet's nest, as the most conspicuous Muslim-American organizations -- though not necessarily the most representative -- have intimate ties to Saudi money and are often only one step away from terrorists and their supporters."

With us and with the terrorists (PDF)
By Frank J. Gaffney, Jr., New York Sun, 18 February 2003

"It is much in the President's interest -- and the nation's -- that moderate, law-abiding, peace-loving, and patriotic American Muslims be embraced and empowered by the Bush Administration and that all those who support it in waging a war on terror, not on Islam. To do so, however, the administration must not allow those who are with its enemies in that struggle to continue being with the president and his team."

Letter to Grover Norquist , President of the Americans for Tax Reform and Chairman Emeritus of the Islamic Institute, from Frank J. Gaffney, Jr., President of the Center for Security Policy

On 5 February 2003 Grover Norquist proclaimed publicly that Gaffney's efforts to examine more closely the records of certain pro-Islamist American Muslim organizations reeked of "racism and bigotry." In response, Gaffney correctly asked Norquist to explain why he has "gone to such lengths to defend -- to say nothing of legitimize and advance the agendas of -- terrorist sympathizers and others hostile to everything for which American conservatives stand?"

Gaffney writes: "I do not believe that this sort of empowering of radical Islamists -- at the expense of peaceable American Muslims, who abjure terrorism every bit as much as their non-Muslim countrymen -- is in the interest of the United States. It is certainly not in the interest of the President or the conservative movement.
