From Access North Georgia, "AP NewsBreak: Programer accused of hacking driver's license files," with thanks to Kemaste.
A computer programmer for a sensitive state agency, who apparently was hired without undergoing a background check, has been charged with computer intrusion and theft for accessing Georgia driver's license files without authorization.The Georgia Technology Authority said Asif Siddiqui was arrested April 28 at the agency's offices near the state Capitol after the agency discovered he had logged into the database outside of work hours without having a reason to do so...
The agency has no idea how many files were accessed or what, if any, personal information may have been compromised, Wade said. The files potentially included names, addresses, home telephone numbers and Social Security numbers of thousands of Georgians...
Government databases (particularly driver’s license files) have always worried me. So many people have access to the files for legitimate purposes that they are difficult to keep secure. There was a case in Montreal several years ago when the Hell's Angels tried to assassinate a well-known Montreal journalist writing about the Angels. The journalist took about six shots but survived. The motorcycle gang had a source in the government who checked the journalist's address from the driver's license database.
Asif Siddiqui, hmmm, local Methodist?
Keep in mind that all manner of sensitive personal information on American citizens and companies is now accessible to muslims.
The widespread job outsourcing practiced by multinational corporations and U.S. & state government agencies is increasingly commonplace. Foreign muslim "guest workers" in the information technology field are used by many companies. (My understanding is that the Indian Information Technology outsourcing firm "WiPro" is muslim owned and operated.)
Foreign information technology workers regularly interact with sensitive information. It is impossible to know whether any of this information is now being used improperly. Multinational corporations are only concerned with their "legal liability" and enact the most minimal security measures.
Info Tech Guy... thanks for the enlightenment. This sort of thing falls under Employment Practices Liability which is increasingly a "hard to find" coverage, especially for International Employers. These suits are difficult to defend, and most policies have many built in ISO exclusions which leave US Based employers themselves vulnerable in many ways.
Quick Fix: Don't hire muslims. muslim Proof your business.
I'm an American but I switched to a Canadian bank because the American Bank I was dealing with outsourced to India. A big no-no. Periodically, I will call my bank to make an inquiry on my account... they're pretty diligent. I'll stick with the Canadian Bank until something better comes up; we need muslim-proof security based societies. If I had a merchant that offered me "muslim proofed" as a guarantee, I'd certainly consider it. How sad that these freaks can't just modernize and join the rest of us that are living and thriving in the 21st Century.
muslims = Freaks!
Have a great Kafir Kinda Day!
P.S. It's almost funny to think that back in the 1940's we were all "Jew Proofed"... and the muslims danced with glee. Well, the tables have now turned. muslims Will now enjoy what the persecuted Jews went through.. Quid Pro Quo!
