Thirty-four corpses of men shot dead, beheaded or with their throats cut have been uncovered across Iraq, medical and security sources said.Thirteen of the corpses were found in Baghdad's Sadr City.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Shakir Wadi Al-Maliki said the 13 slain men, most appearing to be aged in their early 20s, were wearing civilian clothes and lying in a shallow grave in a vacant lot.
Judging by the nature of their wounds and the state of bodily decomposition, police officials believed the men were shot either late on Saturday or early on Sunday.
An Associated Press photographer saw the bodies lying in the grave with their hands tied behind their back, eyes blindfolded and at least three bullet wounds in each of their heads.Eleven corpses of men shot dead were also discovered by police in the town of Iskandariyah, south of Baghdad, police and medical sources said.
"Police found 11 bodies in an agricultural zone close to Iskandariyah. All are of middle-aged men," police captain Yahya al-Mamudi told AFP.
"We have received 11 bodies. They were shot dead a few days ago," said Mohammed al-Saidi of the hospital in Iskandariyah.Soldiers killed
Police said at least three of the dead had been identified as Iraqi soldiers.The defence ministry, in the meantime, said 10 bodies of soldiers, all with their throats cut, had been discovered close to the town of Ramadi, west of Baghdad.
"Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks..." (Qur'an 47:4).

I have to wonder.
How is it that terrorists seem so able to get the drop on groups of Iraqi police, National Guardsmen, and Soldiers.
Don't they carry their own weapons?
News reports never mention a firefight.
With the large body counts common in these instances, are they always captured unarmed?
If so, why?

Today as we are seeing a tied of increasing riots as clerics whip up their flocks into calling for a holy war against America all because of a unsubstantiated paragraph in Newsweek magazine May 9th. But hardly a whimper has been heard about the more than 100 Christians that where arrested for daring to pray in Saudia Arabia in the past three weeks In Riyadh and nearly 40 bibles confiscated by the Saudi religious police (what did they do with the bibles?) is anybody asking that Question ? Yes there has been hardly a whimper.

We need to teach Islam about tolerance, starting with limiting travel to and from countries that do not grant Christianity and Judaism toleration.
Barbara Stock's article posted at chronwatch.com is crystal clear and I cannot understand why our president and government leaders have so much trouble understanding what is going on!
What's it going to take to get them to wake up? Are they going to wait until a dirty bomb goes off in a major city before they decide to get their hands dirty? I truly thought George Bush was the one to see this out until his time ran out and someone else came onboard, but I'm beginning to wonder. What is the deal here?

Greetings and salutations! I think the answer to your two different lines of questioning is fairly simple. One word: 'Infiltration'. Those Iraqi cops are being undermined by inside jobs of the jihadis. The U.S. are finding it impossible to create democratic institutions without extremist infiltration. As for the Bush administration, the situation is even more dire and ominous for those who love freedom. An insidious fifth column of Islamists have infiltrated the U.S. gov't at the highest levels. Bush is not a stupid man despite his mannerisms and mangled use of the English language. He (Bush), as well as Rice, Cheney and Rumsfeld know full well the danger Islam is to the West. The foxes are in the henhouse, so to speak, and now it is next to impossible to punt them out. Like the internationalist UN, Islam has it's tentacles in the White House. May God help us.
