TENTENA, Indonesia - Security forces were deployed at churches on Indonesia's Sulawesi island today after yesterday's bomb attack on a Christian town killed 20 people and threatened to re-ignite a violent conflict with Muslims.About 3,000 troops were on duty in the troubled Poso region and the town of Tentena where blasts hit a busy market on Saturday in an attack police said could be the work of Islamic militants behind other major atrocities.
In Jakarta, senior officials held an emergency meeting, agreeing to step up counter-terrorist intelligence, while Indonesia's president called for calm in Poso and across the country in the wake of the incident.
Officials said those killed included an infant and a Christian cleric. Victor Batara, a senior police officer in the provincial capital Palu, said 11 people were still fighting for their lives.
Tentena lies in a region where clashes between Muslims and Christians have killed hundreds of people in recent years. A peace deal was struck in 2001 after a year of fighting left 1,000 dead, but sporadic violence has persisted.

First of all, I wonder about the qualifier "radical". To me, Islam is radical. Period. There is no nice Islam, moderate Islam, modern Islam. Unless you took it and chopped it to pieces, in which case, why bother with it at all? The religion bit to Islam is a facade. It's a political ideology, an Arab supremacy movement which seeks to make everyone live in the Dark Ages. What's nice about that?
And second of all, how come everybody is having such trouble seeing that Islam hates freedom, that Islam is incompatible with modern life, with stability, with normalcy? I can't understand why so many people continually make excuses for the inexcusable. They'll gladly jump all over other religions, but look the other way at Islamic atrocities and stupidities. It's always "the tiny minority" yet they'll blame all of Christianity for Timothy McVeigh, or Catholicism for the IRA or for people in Africa not using condoms. With Islam it's always some excuse - out of context, misunderstood, translation problems, tiny minority, not Islam, yadda yadda yadda.
The problem is this blindness that many in the non-Muslim world is afflicted with.

Part of the liberal agenda is to supplant religion or to make religion and liberal dogma the same. It is impossible for Christianity and left wing dogma to be congruent, so the liberal strategists know that they have to destroy Christianity or supplant it. Their main way of doing this (until recently) was to point out how hypocritical Christians are and to make it seem that other religions are better. The poster boy for the left wing, “there are lots of religions better than Christianity” movement, is Islam. The liberal high priests would have us believe that Islam is a peaceful and enlightened religion. Any thing that goes against this party line is ignored, and this is the chief reason that people do not recognize the evils of Islam. It is, however, becoming increasingly difficult for the liberal media to paint the rosy picture of Islam so the new agenda is to blame the violence of Islam on Christians and Jews and America. You will note that Israel and America are constant sources of blame as is the crusades.

The story still references the implict 'excuse' for the mass murder,

So, the BBC suggests that this might just be another Muslim response to Christians in an area,
"that has acquired a reputation as being a dangerous area for Muslims".
The updated story does not indicate anywhere that Muslim jihadists may have done this, and, of course, there is absolutely no mention of the history of Islamic atrocities against Christians in Indonesia. Nothing.
Instead, the update story talks about what the president of Indonesia is saying and doing to stop this 'terrorism', while he sells Indonesia to Infidel tourists.

Christian services require protection. The president is out selling Indonesian tourism. And he is after the 'terrorists'.
But, the words the BBC will never say, are, of course, never said: 'Islam' and 'Jihad'. The bloody history of this country, the ideology that has, is, and will continue to pollute this beautiful, tropical nation in the blood of Infidels, remains in the darkness, unknown, unreported by the likes of the BBC.
