A hundred or more people protesting the alleged desecration of the Quran gathered outside the US Embassy Friday, chanting "kill, kill George Bush" and other anti-American slogans.Many in the crowd covered their faces with scarves.
A man with a megaphone led chants including "USA watch your back, Osama is coming back" and "bomb, bomb New York."

It sounds as if this protest gathered more support than the FMAT protest against terrorism.

The interesting trend to note is that the children of supposed "moderate muslims" in Britain have gone Islamist. This is also the case in other European countries.
Meanwhile the center-right, center-left and far-left parties are either asleep to the problem or so ideologically committed to open borders and endless immigration that they refuse to respond.
This leaves the far-right; in England that's the British National Party (BNP) which is alternately tarred as racist or fascist (with some good reason).
This arrangement, of course, leaves thoughtful British opponents of islamic immigration with little real choice: vote for a marginal rightist party with little prospect of gaining office or a major party which shows no inclination of taking action.

The NPD party has long railed against moving jobs abroad to Germany's low-wage and low-cost eastern neighbors. But the far-right extremists just got caught printing a party newspaper across the border in Poland.
Members of the NPD admitted on Wednesday that the party was having its nationalistic paper Deutsche Stimme, or German Voice, printed in the Polish town Jelenia Gora after German police discovered two Polish trucks loaded with copies of the newspaper.
The irony of the situation was not lost on members of the assembly of the eastern state of Saxony, which the NPD had called upon to discuss measures against foreign wage pressures. The far-right MPs had come up with the motto "Closed Borders for Wage Dumping," but were instead forced to explain why they themselves were taking advantage of cheaper printing facilities in Poland.
"Yes, we have a slight credibility problem," Holger Apfel, the NPD's parliamentary leader in the Saxony assembly, told Der Spiegel newsmagazine. "We want to print in Germany but no publisher wants to have us."
Politicians from mainstream political parties scoffed at the idea that the NPD could be refused access to German printing facilities. Saxony's Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said the party could take legal action if it needed to, but the incident just exposed the NPD's hypocrisy since "they accuse others of doing what they do themselves."
Embarrassed neo-Nazis
The matter might be nothing more than embarrassing to the far right, but scandal is nothing new for the NPD. After it dodged being banned by the government in 2003, the party bounced back even stronger and managed to win nearly 10 percent of the vote in a regional election in the eastern state of Saxony last September.
Playing on voters' fears of the eastward expansion of the European Union, the NPD raged against Germany losing jobs to countries where production and wages are cheaper. Since the EU expanded in May 2004 to include 10 new countries mostly from Eastern Europe, the NPD has argued no cheap laborers from Poland or the Czech Republic should be allowed to work across the border in Germany.
The NPD has managed to disgrace itself and the rest of Germany on numerous occasions since winning seats in the Saxony assembly. In January, the NPD deputies in Saxony's parliament refused to take part in a moment of silence for the victims of the Nazis during a commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp.
On Wednesday, Afpel, on the defensive over the Polish printing incident, said there was a "societal pogrom attitude against the NPD," in a clear reference to Nazi campaigns against Jews in the Third Reich. Such comments will only place the party further outside the political mainstream, but the printing-in-Poland debacle could also do considerable damage to the party's image in the eyes of its core far-right voters.

I'm frustrated at the West and its lack of pride in our culture and heritage. I'm not racist - I believe all cultures have some worthwhile history and contributions (except for modern islam) but since when are we supposed to ignore our own history and buy into the line that we are the root of all problems?

Perhaps the most telling questions ever asked in a survey of Muslim attitudes was the 2002 Gallop poll of Muslims worldwide : 1) Is the US military action against Afganistan justified? 2) Were Arabs responsible for 9/11? 77% said that the US military action was not justified and 74% said that Arabs were not responsible for 9/11. These are important questions, because both responses indicate sympathy with the Jihad against America, and, hence, sympathy with the global Jihad. One could answer truthfully these questions with the hope of leaving a good impression of Muslim beliefs, while, at the same time, express one's true feelings about what happened in New York, and what is happening around the world. "Bin Laden is innocent! America still got what it deserved! Respond to the call to Jihad! Allahu Akbar!"
And how could one believe that US military action in Afganistan is unjustified, be a Muslim, and not support Jihad against the United States for attacking a Muslim land? And, if a Muslims support the Jihad, the only question left is methodology: how will the Jihad be fought? With what mean? With what tools?

Don't pay any attention to Shukri. He's always like this. He'll deny it, but I've known him most of his life.

Last week, the Herald reported that the Islamic man, Fakrhul Islam, and alleged MS-13 member Frankie Sanchez-Solorzano, 21, were arrested along with 11 others on Dec. 4 for entering the country illegally by wading across the Rio Grande.

A reputed member of the East Boston-based MS-13 gang was arrested in Somerville on a murder warrant stemming from a fatal stabbing in Washington, D.C., the Herald has learned.

Now it is unlikely that the pollsters would have interviewed either children, burqa clad women or elderly muslim males, as for the most part, they are confined to the home or do not speak English. What this figure then indicates indicates, is that between 35% to 50% of muslim adult males living in the UK, consider an attack on the UK or the US, as justified.
Another aspect to bear in mind is that in muslim families, the active adult male, sets the whole political agenda, and the rest of the family go along with his decision. What follows from this is that some 35% to 50% of muslims in the UK, consider an attack on the UK or United States, as justified.
I sincerely hope that the time comes soon that we act on this menace from within. Both the US and the UK are under grave threat. If these two succumb, it is curtains for the rest.

In the 1930s, the fascist regimes that arose in Italy and Germany sought greater stakes in the Middle East, and began courting Arab leaders to revolt against their British and French custodians. Among their many willing accomplices was Jerusalem Mufti Haj Amin el-Husseini, who fled Palestine after agitating against the British during the Arab Revolt of 1936-39. He found refuge in Iraq – another British mandate – where he again topped the British most wanted list after helping pull the strings behind the Iraqi coup of 1941. The revolt in Baghdad was orchestrated by Hitler as part of a strategy to squeeze the region between the pincers of Rommel's troops in North Africa, German forces in the Caucuses and pro-Nazi forces in Iraq. However, in June 1941 British troops put down the rebellion and the Mufti escaped via Tehran to Italy and eventually to Berlin.
Once in Berlin, the Mufti received an enthusiastic reception by the "Islamische Zentralinstitut" and the whole Islamic community of Germany, which welcomed him as the "Führer of the Arabic world." In an introductory speech, he called the Jews the "most fierce enemies of the Muslims" and an "ever corruptive element" in the world.
Husseini soon became an honored guest of the Nazi leadership and met on several occasions with Hitler. He personally lobbied the Führer against the plan to let Jews leave Hungary, fearing they would immigrate to Palestine. He also strongly intervened when Adolf Eichman tried to cut a deal with the British government to exchange German POWs for 5000 Jewish children who also could have fled to Palestine. The Mufti's protests with the SS were successful, as the children were sent to death camps in Poland instead. One German officer noted in his journals that the Mufti would liked to have seen the Jews "preferably all killed." On a visit to Auschwitz, he reportedly admonished the guards running the gas chambers to work more diligently. Throughout the war, he appeared regularly on German radio broadcasts to the Middle East, preaching his pro-Nazi, anti-Semitic message to the Arab masses back home.
During the Second World War in Yugoslavia, many Muslim clerics in Bosnia and Kosovo were willing accomplices in the genocide of the nation's Serbian, Jewish and Roma population. From 1941 until 1945, the Nazi-installed regime of Ante Pavelic in Croatia carried out some of the most horrific crimes of the Holocaust, killing over 800,000 Yugoslav citizens - 750,000 Serbs, 60,000 Jews and 26,000 Roma. In these crimes, they were helped by Muslim fundamentalists in Bosnia and Kosovo who were openly supported by the Palestinian Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini. Husseini openly encouraged Muslims to join Nazi units that would be later implicated in genocide and crimes against humanity - the infamous Hanjar (or Handschar) 13th Waffen SS division.

I'm sure that there are many Muslims in the UK and the U.S. who want nothing to do with Islamists recruiting for "martyrdom operations" or any other sort of attacks. But then, the 9/11 hijackers were entertained by many Muslims in the U.S. who were aware of their intentions. (This has, I believe been discussed on this site and Daniel Pipes' site.)
The fact that Muslims will not speak out against Jihad and "martyrdom operations" and will not criticise Islamic religious domination of society indicates that the problem of Islamic violence is not centralised among "Islamist radicals". The wider Muslim world -- in and out of the West is suspect.
It is telling that the most extreme pro-jihad views in Islam actually originate in Saudi Arabia -- the birthplace of Islam and location of the primary Islamic holy sites Mecca and Medina. It is also worth pointing out (once more) the number of Saudis among the 9/11 attackers.
It is certainly true that there are culturally and politically conservative Muslims in the West who want nothing to do with Islamist jihads, I think that the core of the problem remains with the violent tenets of orthodox Islam (as Roger Spencer repeated notes again and again).
I, for one, would welcom a greater effort on the part of Western Christians and Secularists to offer Muslims in the West greater opportunities to evaluate their beliefs in light of the intellectual and religious freedom in the West.

We really don't know how to hate, do we? Sometimes in anger we think we hate but it always seems to dissipate with the ire.
It goes entirely against my upbringing and my nature, but I'm learning how to hate. I'm not taking classes in Hate 101 , but it is seeping into my psyche without any conscious effort or intent. Right now it is confined to moderate contempt and resentment, combined with a genuine sense of incredulity at the ubiquitous arrogance of muslims, and the appeasing, apologetic attitudes of non-muslims in response to their despicable behavior and demands.
We would never engage in the irrational, maniacal histrionics incited by muslim clerics and enacted by muslim mobs all over the world, yet many in the West condone it. This will be a mix of Sharia/democracy globally as the majority of people on Earth (Muslims) will demand it.

I don't believe this web site has said that these protesters are representative of all British Muslims, but this protest was organised by, among others, the Muslim Council of Britain!
The protesters also, while objecting to alleged mistreatment of the Qur'an, burnt an effigy of Tony Blair ON A CRUCIFIX! This seems to have received remarkably little coverage in the national media.
These protesters are evil and hypocritical, but the fact that we allow them to do this shows that we are better.

On the streets of London, Muslims burn effigy of Blair and US flags in demo over Koran ‘abuse’

Muslim protesters today called for the bombing of New York in a demonstration outside the US embassy in London.
There were threats of “another 9/11” from militants angry at reports of the desecration of the Koran by US troops in Iraq.
Some among the crowd burned an effigy of Tony Blair on a crucifix and then set fire to a Union Flag and a Stars and Stripes.
Led by a man on a megaphone, they chanted “USA watch your back, Osama is coming back” and “kill, kill USA, kill, kill George Bush”. A small detail of police watched as they shouted: “Bomb, bomb New York” and “George Bush, you will pay, with your blood, with your head”.
Demonstrators in Grosvenor Square, some with their faces covered with scarves, waved placards which included the message: “Desecrate today and see another 9/11 tomorrow”.
The crowd was expected to grow during the afternoon.
The protest was organised by groups including the Muslim Council of Britain and the Muslim Parliamentary Association of the UK. Their protest follows fury in the Islamic world over the claims in a Newsweek magazine that US soldiers at Guantanamo Bay had abused the Koran.
The magazine later withdrew the article and apologised but not before it triggered riots in Afghanistan in which 17 people died and 100 people were injured.
Former Guantanamo Bay detainee Martin Mubanga told a crowd he had seen a copy of Koran “desecrated” during his time at Camp Delta.
He said: “This was one of the methods they used, throwing the Koran, my Koran, on the floor in my cell.” One of the protesters called for the release of the radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza. He shouted: “We are cleansers and we have come to cleanse you from the face of the Earth.

Scotland Yard said the protest appeared peaceful but a source said reinforcements were on stand-by in case of any trouble.
