Why the sneer quotes? They are denouncing liberalism, plain and simple. They hate feminists, homosexuals, atheists, multiculturalists, secularists, evolutionists, gun control advocates, peaceniks, commies, etc. They hate liberals. Just like Hitler.

I think the extremist jihadists welcome "gun control advocates" and "peaceniks" since both play into the hands of these militant holy warriors.

I don't know what their view on evolution is. It probably would have been accepted by medieval Islamic scholars who were busy plagiarizing Aristotle and Galen, -but, lately, I would guess that the flat-earthers of Allah hold sway.

Hitler, being a vegetarian psychopath, is too messy an analogy to work with these current nutjobs, since his motives are so mixed (liberal 'socialism' mixed with stone age Wotan-cult 'pure race' crackpot-ism) that you can find tiny threads of sanity (good roads, sanitation, high tech research) swamped in the overwhelming cultic miasma of superstitious insanity ('aryan bloodlines', scapegoating the weak to excuse your failings, 'world conquest to establish a supreme state', etc.).

it may well be that the golden ratio 80:20 holds for both conservatives and liberals in America. 80% of both would oppose islamism and its attendent evils. The other 20% are the extremists - hardcore lefties who ahte america or hardcore klanners and antisemites who hate common sense. Either way, we need the 80% from both sides to join up.

They are squandering hundreds of billions of tax dollars in Iraq while shutting down military bases here and not adequately guarding our borders.... remember back when "Slick Willie" shut down a few military bases...oh what a hue and cry oinked out of the right-wing MSM echochamber: "Clinton is DECIMATING THE MILITARY!!!" But now, that it is obvious that the military base closures are just part of a plan that was started in 1990 and continued to the present? "No big whoop. Bush says it's okay."

Oh yes, the new buzz word: obstructionists. Not a peep EVER came up when the Democrats ran the Senate about a "nuclear option" to end the filibuster, even when such luminaries as Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms blocks 62 of Clinton's judiciary nominees.

That's why James Baker works for the Saudis, fighting a lawsuit filed by the widows, orphans, etc. and survivors of the 9-11 attacks. What could be more un-American than that? The wool is off the eyes of the people now. You liberals thought you had it all swished down around our ears nice and tight. All these last gasp lies of your media and filibustering of your lowly government officials have made it clear. Your party has come apart at the seams. George Bush was elected last November and has another 3 and a half years as your leader and Commander in Chief, accept it. If not, you are free to continue to obstruct, lie, complain, cry, throw hissy fits, filibuster, print lies in newspapers and magazines, produce silly shows for TV and movies, talk among yourselves like old gossipy spinsters, write crazy liberal defending rants on blogs etc etc.

The military complex, intelligence and the rest of government does not require the help of liberals to win wars. But, we do need to keep spending and increasing these departments to about 3 times of what they currently are. This little Iraq thing would already be wrapped up if it wasn't for 8 years of Clinton decimating the military budget and more importantly reducing the intelligence services by of two thirds of what it was before he humped into office. He reduced the military and intelligence departments in order to implement failed social programs that he promised the liberal base, most of which he never even attempted to introduce at all. He lied to all the homos and fems and everyone else. Talk about being duped, now that is the real funny shi*.
