Islamic religious "tolerance" in action. From the Pakistan Times, "Qadiyanis carrying out anti-Islam acts freely," with thanks to Skeetstreet:
SAMBRIAL - Aalmi Tehreek-e-Khatme Nabuwat Pakistan has alleged Qadiyanis have been preaching their faith more freely and vigorously during the tenure of incumbent government and warned if their anti-Islam activities are not checked immediately, they will cause an irreparable loss to interests of Muslims in Pakistan and the world.Speaking to a press conference here on Saturday, Tehreek Amir Maulana Muhammad Yahya Gondalvi accused the current rulers of criminal carelessness for not checking increasing anti-Islam activities of Qadiyanis.
He said Pakistan was created in the name of Islam and Muslims could not tolerate any activity here aimed at harming their faith.
He said, "Current rulers are constitutionally bound not to spare Qadiyanis spreading their faith in an Islamic state."
He said the Tehreek with a support of Muslim majority would thwart any attempt to make Pakistan a 'Qadiyani state' and would go for every possible sacrifice in this regard.
He demanded the Qadiyanis currently holding key government positions be removed immediately before it was too late, saying they have strong links with Jews and are opposed to the interests of nation and Islam...
Ridiculous! The % of Ahmediyas (or Qadiyanis as the Paki mullahs call them) in Pak's population is below minisicule. To suggest an imminent (unless violent action is taken of course) conversion of the Pak state into a Qadiyani one is preposterous and is definitely designed to strengthen the bonds of unity amongst all violent muslims with the blood of 'deviants'. Believe it or not, the qadiyanis also worship Allah and if they get treated like this, imagine the fate of others (like Christians) who dont believe so!
The Qadiynis (or Ahmadiyyas) like to think of themselves as Muslims. Many other Muslims, however, do not share that view, and indeed take quite a different view. Here is what a leading Muslim publication in Great Britian (The Islam Weekly) has to say:
"The Ahmadiyya sect has been branded ‘non-Muslim’ by consensus. In fact, this is one area where all Muslim groups, including those from Sunni and Shia backgrounds, agree without argument.
The late great scholar of Islam, Habib Mashhur Al-Haddad (d.1995), who was generally considered the Renewer of Islam in East Africa, states in his book, Key to the Garden p.70.
The Muslims of today are of the unanimous view that the Qadiyani (Ahmadiyya) sectaries are liars and apostates who have no connection of any kind with Islam. Verdicts to this effect have been issued against them which are clearer than the sun in the noonday sky.
The main reason the Muslims reject the Ahmadiyya is because the founder Gulam Ahmad from Qadiyan claimed to be a prophet. Whereas Islam is categorically clear that there will be no prophet after the Final Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and therefore any claim is a lie."
There does not seem to be much room for Ahmadiyyas to continue to believe they can expect much tolerance, should the real Islam stand up -- as it seems to be, all over the world. "Liars and apostates who have no connection of any kind with Islam." Well, no room for ambiguity there, is there?
Among the Muslim posters here, the only ones who make sense, who seem to exist on the same intellectual planet, are those who are Western converts to Islam -- one assumes they converted after knowing a certain amount, but not nearly enough, and now that they are in, they have begun to study up on the real nature of Islam, on the behavior of their fellow Muslims, and I doubt if they can accurately describe themselves as Muslims today. There is also one other who, from Pakistan, occasionally offers a glimpse of human understanding, and he recently described himself as an Ahmadiyya -- which explained why he was not entirely limited to the crazed, nearly zombie-like repetitions of the Muslims who troll about, their hooks well-baited, waiting for the willing to bite.
Perhaps Naseem will find the behavior of the full-fledged, mainstream Muslims cause for further reflection -- and make the whole daring mental leap (not openly, for few can be that brave) -- from mental slavery, to something a bit more dignified.
Somebody slap me.
I'm actually starting to feel sorry for and worry about Naseem.
Hugh:
I was writing my post as you were posting yours.
Naseem is a woman, raised in the UK and now living with her husband and one grown child [at university] in Pakistan. The other child [also at university] attends school in Britain.
Right. So "he recently described himself" should now read "she recently described herself."
How often does a sentence get to imitate Christine Jorgensen?
Ahmaddiya's are hated, persecuted, detested and spat upon in Pakistan. They are considered to be the true 'scum of the Earth', the lowest of the low.
I have heard similar sentiments about Qadiani's expressed in England by British born and raised Pakistani Muslims.
Funnily enough, Ahmaddiyas are academics, intellectuals, businessmen; they do not stand on self pity, are prosperous through hard work, and have reaped the benefits of a (relatively) liberal intellectualism. The only Pakistani to have won a Nobel Prize, Abdus Salaam, who won the award for Physics, was an Ahmadiya, and as such, his memory is despised, ignored and marginalised in his homeland. Compare it with how neighbouring India treats its scientists and award winners no matter what their religious background and you begin to get a sense of the dark, blackened, bigoted and intolerant heart of Pakistan and some of the truth and 'purity' of Pakistan's Islam.
Somebody slap me.

Me too. I almost fell out of my chair when I read her recent posts. I recall some very compelling missives from Ms. Nasseem, especially those in which she advised us all to give it up and surrender to Islam.
Quite a change of heart, don't you think? Maybe the fact that she has personally experienced Islamic persecution and intolerance had something to do with it. If I were her, I would change my address to another continent.
