Williams: Democracy shuts its eyes as Muslim women are enslaved

From Armstrong Williams in Townhall:

Throughout Europe, people are standing idly by as Muslim women are being murdered for having the audacity to date, or to not wear their head scarves outside, or to yearn for a life outside of the home. The problem is most pronounced in Germany. Last month six German women were murdered by their Muslim families for flirting with Western culture. Most recently, Hatin Surucu, a twenty-three-year-old Turkish woman who had been forced into marrying her cousin at age 16, was gunned down at a German bus stop. The attack had been planned. The motive-- Surucu had divorced her husband, discarded her religious head scarf, and had begun dating German men. This was too much for her family to bear. So her three brothers killed her, and orphaned her five year old son.

The brothers bragged to their friends about the “honor killing.” In their community, they are considered heroes for suppressing their personal emotions and doing the tough work of God—discharging bullets into their defenseless sister. At least, that’s the way they tell the story in certain cloistered Muslim enclaves in Germany, where “honor killings” are becoming an increasingly familiar phenomenon.

And how is mainstream German society responding to this trend? For the most part, they’re not. Following World War II, Germans have been conditioned not to criticize other cultures. Afraid of being labeled racists or Nazis, Germans sit passively by while hundreds of Germany's Muslim women are stripped of their basic human rights.

Well, wagging your finger at the practices of another culture might not be politically correct. But what about what’s morally correct? What about the thousands of Muslim women who are being enslaved by archaic religious practices? What about the women like Surucu who are being killed for wanting a personality outside of their restrictive religion? At some point the German people must realize that protecting the rights of women like Surucu is not a matter of cultural relativity. It is a matter of universally recognized human rights. The idea of enslaving an entire gender is fundamentally at odds with the basic freedoms embraced by all enlightened, democratic societies. Germany cannot allow the mere threat of charges of cultural or religious insensitivity to undermine the basic democratic values they have worked so hard to achieve in the post war era.

Very simply, the culture of another people does not have to be accepted when it is subhuman! "Honor killings" are subhuman! And human rights activists need to address the situation in no uncertain terms...

" At some point ... people must realize that protecting the rights of women ... is not a matter of cultural relativity. It is a matter of universally recognized human rights."

Keep repeating that. Embroider a cushion cover of it. Write it in fancy calligraphy on your exercise books (if under 15) Write it in fancy calligraphy if fancy calligraphy is your hobby.

If the conservative source does not appeal remember the words of the Egyptian doctor at a Cairo A&E. The woman who spent much of her shift repairing infibulated brides.

"This isn't culture, it's child abuse"

At some point ... people must realize that protecting the rights of women ... is not a matter of cultural relativity. It is a matter of universally recognized human rights.

There are certain human wrongs which no fancy cultural cloaks can ever conceal. these include slavery, child abuse, genocide and threats to freedom of speech, conscience and religion.
All of these are violated in the islamic world.

Someone over at LGF branded this on my brain: The 1990 Cairo Declaration on 'Human Rights' in Islam [scare quotes not in original]

This replaces the Universal Declaration on Human Rights for Muslims Gone Wild. I've got too much time on my hands. Maybe I can put DVD's together.

Sharia

Now think about what happens as more and more Muslims move into the Dar al Harb, converting it to Dar al Islam. Europe is well on its way, Germany a wonderful example.

It is time for the men (real men, not metrosexual anarchists) to stand up with the brave women and make a stand politically and in the realm of self defense.

Don't let anyone say, "'honour' killings aren't Muslim" without responding.

"The Rapture" was cooked up in the 19th Century by one preacher, but now it's Christian.

'Honour killings' are a pre-Islamic Bedouin tradition accepted in 99%+ of the "Muslim World" (Earth to them). Now, like desert fashion or other Bedouin traditions, 'honour' killings are functionally part of Islam.

Williams is simply saying what any sane humane human being MUST say:

inhumanity is inhumanity, no matter what cloak (Koranic sanction) it wears to pretend otherwise.

You know, I miss the days when I could be shocked. In those times I recognized the fact that yes, people will do silly things, but only so far. That is not my position now my friends, let me assure you. The concept of 'honor' killings is so perverse, so vile, so base, and so wicked it defies all known logic. All logic except Islamic 'logic' that is. These Islamic male chauvanist pigs ought to shot and pissed on. Then let their bodies be used for pig feed. A trial starting with the presumption of innocence before proven guilty is too good for them.

What a horrible thing! To think this goes on in this day and time is frightening on so many levels.

It disturbs me no end that these really disturbing and horrible acts from Muslims, Catholic priests, and some other sadistic religionist jerks happen and the first, the very first thing out of people's mouth's is "it's not the religion" etc. etc. Well f***ing excuse me!! It does so have something to do with the damn fantasy life they lead. Crazy f***s.

If a person constantly feeds their brain crap contrary to reality (Koran, etc.) and lives in a fantasy world (religionist world view) created by our ignorant ancestors where the supernatural permeates everything in life, they couldn’t help but be for all practical purposes ‘insane.” They live in world where other spiritual, physical, and moral ‘laws’ are in effect other than the one the rest of humanity lives in and they behave accordingly. That is how a man can kill his own sister or own child for ‘honor.’

The greatest danger to civilization today is the largely unrecognized one of humankind’s dogmatic belief systems that clouds our minds with the unreasonable, the unattainable, and often inhuman nonsense, with Islam being the chief culprit. Wake up people.

f.g.

Focusing on "honor killings" does a disservice to the concept of women's rights and liberation. Honor killings are only one outcome of the islamifiction of a society: look at what is happening to non-Muslim women in Muslim controlled neighborhoods all over Europe. The same process is happening in Africa and, frankly, wherever Islam takes hold.

Muslim women claim that they are free from the unwanted advances of men behind their black abayas and burqas, but in order to have this freedom they must be guarded 24 hours a day by their relatives, prevented from leaving their homes, and so on. To call that freedom is delusional.

Well, I'm glad Armstrong Williams is on board - human rights activists have been dealing with this problem for years.

From Amnesty International's ongoing campaign to stop violence against women:

"Universal human rights" are a product of modern Western civiliation, which itself is inextricably inter-twined with Western Imperialism -- that is why both Leftists and Muslims hate those human rights and the West that gave birth to them.

And that is why we Westerners must revive the paradigm of Western Imperialism, which our own Western modernism has undermined with PC multi-culturalist relativism.

If we don't get back to our roots, both Judaeo-Christian and Enlightenment, won by an arduous fusion through a painful but productive and rational and humane evolution of culture, we may not be strong enough to resist the present challenge: a collaboration of Muslim Jihadists and Revolutionary Leftists.

metaxy,

Very right. Our roots are deep and important. So many will jump at the philosophy du jour so long as it involves race, poverty, Che, talking about violent revolution, and lots of gatherings. Now it's anarcho-syndicalism or libertarian socialism. They mix well with jihadis who know what to leave unsaid.

Renaming the same crap which leads to places like North Korea or Iran is becoming tiresome.

The "Racist White Men" (as "Muslim Jihadist-Revolutionary Leftists" might term them) gave us the end of slavery (first time in world history). Slavery continues in the Muslim world (Earth to them). The RWM gave us an Industrial Revolution, universal human rights (as you mentioned), and expansive paternal federal governance in wealthy nanny states.

If every intellectual question were answered "racism", the modern university would have solved every perplexing conundrum in history within the last 20 years.

Islam is a 'religion' (warfighting strategy, deception, law, misogyny, dhimmi rules, Muslim superiority) which does not fit into convenient imperialist, gender, nationalist, colonial, race, or economic subtexts which permeate academe in today's world. No, today it's necessary to know something about early medieval history to 1492. Who saw that coming?

Not me.

There are those who don't regard my great and distant relative William very highly. That's unfortunate. Walker, had he succeeded in his filibustering enterprizes, would have claimed all of Central America as part of the Greater United States, and even if he'd turned it into a slave empire, the Union would still have advanced on the South, and today Guatemalan and Salvadoreans and Panamanians and the rest of the far south would be populated by men and women as free and as well-adjusted as those of Alabama and Texas.

What William Walker failed to do we must do in our time: Conquer the wole world and turn it into America. They don't want to be conquered? Do I care? Does it matter what people want at this time?

Conquest comes by force. Those savages of Islam will continue to destroy the lives of a billion people unless we stop them. It takes men like William Walker and the Immortals who followed him.
