PATTANI, Thailand : Three Buddhists including a mute labourer were shot and killed and teachers' homes were attacked in southern Thailand, police said, as authorities vowed to boost security funding to counter rampaging violence.Srang Saewong, 56, a mute highway worker in Yala province, was shot dead in Bannang Sata district as he drove to work.
"I don't see a motive such as personal conflict. He was mute and his wife was also mute, so it's just part of the campaign of unrest," police Lieutenant Colonel Sakarin Bumpensamai of Bannang Sata told AFP.
Chicken trader Tonkui Saephoo, 72, was shot dead at a food market in Yaring district of Pattani province by unidentified gunmen, police said, adding that investigators were still at the scene.
In the same province, 52-year-old Thanat Nilvisut, a janitor at Pattani Technical College, was shot dead as he traveled to work.
More than 720 people have died in near-daily attacks or clashes with

as much as i believe in my country, western civilization, the inherent good in people, the rule of law, and the strength of truth, there are times when i must fight the feelings of despair that arise when i consider that DESPITE the avalanche of information regarding Islams global activities,
and DESPITE the thunderous insanity evident to any critical-thinking individual who can stomach a stroll through the arguments and defenses presented by muslims today, and DESPITE the imbalance and dichotomy regarding what muslims demand from us and what they offer in return,
so many of us are blind to the truth and, instead of actively working to defend our way of life and secure the future for our children and decendents, go out of our way to accomodate, aid, support, and even fight alongside those who would see us dead or in chains, and our cities and nations subjugated piles of smoldering ruins.
the aid-and-abetters, the quislings and apologists, the moral-equivalency and multicultural diversity crowd, they all have undertaken this "noble" alliance with a group who promote, exalt, and celebrate lying and killing in pursuit of world domination.
this is not the latest fad religion. this is not hare-krishnas at an airport,the beatles hiring a swami, richard gere embracing buddhism, or madonna stuying kaballah. this isn't something we can "try out" until some hollyweird persona shows us the new must-have state of mind.the "religion of peace" can be a real mutha when it comes to changing your mind.

maybe i answered my own question when i stated "any critical-thinking individual".
mental laziness has always been a negative force for mankind, i think that now it has become near-suicidal.
Thank God, the loving and gentle God, that there are still folks like us, who have forums like this, with the will and determination to stand tall and united, and refuse to go meekly into the dustbin of history.
it IS us, and it IS now.
Shooting seniors, handicaps, and other defenseless citizens of their OWN country. Yeah, this is a religion of peace my ass! Further proof that muslims are a fifth column in any country they inhabit. Their only loyalty is to their make believe god and their co-conspiritors. LIBERALS OF THE WORLD WAKE UP! We need you on our side if we are to ever rid the earth of this evil conspiricy being purpretrated on mankind by the brainwashed slaves of Allah. This isn't rocket science, it's either united we stand or divided we will fall. Maybe not in our lifetime nor our children's, but it won't be long after that. It is much easier for us NOW to push back this evil tide that is sweeping the world then for our grandchildren to deal with the tragedy that awaits them. They will never forgive you nor would you ever forgive yourselves.

Study the history of Islam. Study the history of countries, cultures, and civilizations on which Islam has set its sights. Study contemporary news stories, history's "first draft." It's always the same. They have been and are Islam's prey.
W. the C.: my sympathies to you on your bad day. remember the old saying, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". i can commiserate with you easily, i live outside NYC and spend my days slogging neck-deep through the blue swamp.
another "benefit" of living here; i am a carpenter and on 9/11 i was scheduled to do a cabinet install at "Windows on the World" at the late, great WTC. the cabinets did not arrive on time and so i am here to tell you about it. many people i knew are not.
there is a small range of hills in NJ and Rockland County which form the Palisades escarpment along the Hudson River and then bend west across the northern end of the county before joining the Ramapo Mts. a county road crosses the section known as South Mt and at the top there is a small pull-off and scenic lookout facing south.
New York City is visible from there on most days, and it was visible on the very worst of days.
on 9/11 i drove up there as soon as i was aware of the attacks. i watched the towers burn and fall from there, along with about 200 people with the same idea. Cops, nurses, construction workers like myself, housewives, painters, schoolkids, deliverymen, and on and on.
even here, some people just don't get it.

You'd think the mugging of 9/11 would have been a sea change in most hearts, but I guess the news reports didn't show eneough of the raw, searing, mind-bogglingly horrific carnage for its truth to sink in deep enough.
Maybe this coming September 11th we'll get to see all of the supressed images of 9/11 -and perhaps begin to restore some backbone into this increasingly Jellyfish Nation?
(I think it is less "how soon they forget" than "how little they were shown". A censored past is suicidal for the future, to paraphrase Santayana.)
Before people at this site overreact to this story -- please keep in mind that Buddhism is deeply offensive to Muslims. They really didn't have any choice -- I wish we could learn to show more tolerance for this religion -- it's really not so bad! (unless of course if your Buddhist....
