CAIRO, Egypt - Iraq's most feared terror group said Tuesday that it has formed a unit of potential suicide attackers who are exclusively Iraqis, an apparent bid to deflect criticism that most suicide bombers in Iraq are foreigners.Al-Qaida in Iraq announced the unit in an Internet posting signed by Abu Maysara al-Iraqi, the group's purported spokesman. The statement could not be authenticated, but it appeared on an Islamic Web site known for carrying messages from militant groups.
"In response to God's decree, and the heavy insistence of the (Iraqi) brothers and their longing for paradise, the Ansar platoon from the land of Iraq has been formed," the posting said.
"Dozens hurried to register their names to meet their God," the posting said. It told of one Iraqi youth who had rebuked his leader for failing to give him a suicide assignment, telling him he would complain to God on the Day of Judgment because "you prevented me from meeting my God."
The U.S. military has said foreign fighters are a small percentage — perhaps one in 10 — of the insurgents fighting the U.S. presence in Iraq. They do a disproportionate amount of killing, however, in part because they are more likely to carry out suicide bombings.
U.S. and other analysts say the foreign fighters are primarily Islamic militants waging what they regard as jihad or holy war, while the much larger homegrown, mostly Sunni Arab, insurgency has tended to be motivated more by political grievance and factional rivalry...

What I would like to know is - what part of the numerous statements from 'Islamists' are the 'wise' men of this world missing?
Do they plan on building more jails?
Do they plan on going to war?

I've come to believe that there are probably alot of good people that claim to be muslims but in order to be a good muslim, you can't be a good person. The so called "good muslims" are cold blooded killers, liars, and bigots. The so called "good muslims" are attacking our troops and even attacking people of their own religion.
Their so called "holy book" justifies everything that they do. They said that their book was sent by their god. Why? So your fellow man could read it. If man was created by god and the book was created by god, then why is it so horrible to destroy the book but not a man? Every civilized person knows that murder is wrong. Criminals and the godless do not care.

If the US Army spokesperson was trying to play down the importance of foreign troops, it was a failure. Any army that lost one-tenth of its effectives could be held to have suffered a serious blow, the more so since we are told that their kill potential is much higher than the average Iraqi's. If the constant stream of foreign fanatics could be stemmed, the jihad in Iraq would immediately lose much of its power - and, by being less able to terrorize, would also lose greatly in terms of "hears and minds". The foreign fanatics are essential to the jihadist war effort.

Its even worse then that. Since they are not Iraqui, they don't give a rats butt about blowing them up.
I take this report as a positive actually. It means they are getting hammered in the public opnion department in Iraq, and they need to this report to ramp up the "terror" they are trying to inflict.

Your point isn't all that well taken. The targets are, by and large, Shia and the jihaddists, whatever their nationality are Sunni. To them, the Shia are apostates, whether they are Saudi, Iranian, Pakistanian or Iraqi.
Under the circumstances, "dozens" of volunteers hardly suggests a popular movement, however. And how voluntary their services are, is another matter still. Didn't they dragoon some kid with Downes Syndrome to suicide bomb people participating in the Jan. elections?
