Also, the "scandals" alluded to in the above article are scandals only because the media portray them in such a manner. War is ugly, and the out-and-out combat was instigated by a group of jihadists on 9/11. I'm a bit "sensitive" about that day myself.

The media need to publish some of the Muslim scandals, some of which are ludicrous. I seem to remember a teapot story and a KFC attack.

islam is very good at pointing out others' sins by "straining at a gnat," while at the same time completely "swallowing a camel" when it comes to covering over any sins of islam. in other words, any fault of islam, if such a fault is even admitted to exist by muslims, is of course justifiable, acceptable and excusable. any tiny fault of the non-muslim world, however, is lambasted by islam as if it is the unforgivable sin. well, i have news for islam, good news.

I know lots and lots of police officers and they are trying to find out "who within the Police Officers Union" brought this about. They don't agree and don't want it, and will not go through with the training.

I know officers across the US that will refuse this. When enough officers get organized they will replace the people within the union that is organizing this or should.

Remember it was the Police Officers Union that came out endorsing John Kerry. And there was a big public riff with law enforcement officers saying that their union did not have their vote.

If this is being organized by the State Department and handed down to local and state law enforcement then we should know this also. Our local and state law enforcement do not have to this.

How many religions are practiced in America? I'm not sure, but I know there are dozens. Muslims comprise less than 1% of our population and just look at the turmoil they are causing. Can you imagine what it will be like when there really are 7 million of them? Or ten million? Or, God forbid, 20 million?

What other religions have demanded the outrageous concessions, changes, CONSTANT ATTENTION, that muslims demand? I know of none. If not for the ongoing endeavors overseas, I don't think these incessant demands from American muslims would even be noticed. But we must show the world, esp. the Islamic world, how fair and just we are. We must prove to them that we bend over backwards for muslims, both here and abroad. The stupid, senseless, waste of American lives and money in Iraq and Afghanistan isn't enough; we must grovel to and appease our enemies in our own country.

This is absolutely outrageous and if it should actually happen, what next? Sensitivity training for Hindus, Mexicans, Vietnamese, Wiccans, Chinese, Satanists? I can't think of a better way to discourage decent people from seeking careers in law enforcement. The term "people of the Book" always brings to mind "people of color", because both phrases are often used by apologists of injustice to pretend that everything is OK. People of the Book might be "protected", but they are still Dhimmis. We must accept nothing less than full equality for all, including our friends of the Atheist, Hindu, Sikh, and other faiths, who (by omission) don't even qualify for second-class citizenship under Sharia law, by my reading (if I'm wrong about that point please explain).

We must not be patronized by phrases like "People of the Book". The Southern USA racists got away with platitudes like "separate but equal" for far too long. The concept of Dhimmitude may have been progressive in the 7th century. Mohammed may have been enlightened by recognizing the common elements of belief between Islam and its antecedents. However, that was the 7th century. Jewish and Christian theologians can look to the books of Moses and draw positive lessons from them, without taking them as instructions to impose that ancient theocracy on the modern world. We need a system of Islamic theology that can do the same. Reading KT's posts, it would seem that such a system is with us, since only "radicals" want to institute Sharia and oppress their fellow citizens as Dhimmis. At the risk of sounding boring, I ask again: if the "radicals" are really so radical, then please direct me to the mainstream who have refuted this "radical" interpretation and shown that secular government and respect for the UDHR is more consistent with the true message of the Qur'an.
