Iraq: Right-wing Christians ambush police patrol -- oh, wait...

Iraqi jihad update. "Gunmen ambush Iraq police patrol," from the BBC, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:

Gunmen have ambushed a police patrol near the Iraqi city of Ramadi, killing eight officers, police said.

About 20 insurgents attacked the police officers as they patrolled a main road on the outskirts of the city, said a local police chief.

Robert your article title doesn't make sense, and is an immature attempt at irony, and for what purpose?

Right wing Christians in Iraq?

What point are you trying to make?

Why are you so defensive?

You need to do better.

I've noticed on the blogsphere, and forums, that people are going nuts, becoming totally illogical, irrational and emotional and that seems pretty uniform across all sides of the issue, left right and in between.

What's happening?

Time to get out the tin foil hat :)

Giaour,

Yes, sir. You can knock me down, spit on my face, slander my name all over the place, but I was actually making a serious point. You seem not to have noticed that I made the same point about 10 times yesterday.

Also you seem to have missed this message from me to you on another thread, which since it has to do with the same serious point I was making here, I will repeat it below.

Now go put on your tinfoil hat and run along.

Cordially,
Robert Spencer

Here is the older message from me to you:

Giaour, Loxias,

Don't hold your breath waiting for me "admit that the Falwells and Dobsons were an immediate threat to the Republic," or that the Christian Right poses a greater threat to the US than the Islamic jihad.

I will not because I do not believe those things.

You say: "Falwells attitude is a mirror of the mullahs, that he hasn't publicly expressed the death penalty, does not mean that it isn't in the flling cabinet..it is. He's a Reconstructionist and the death penalty (stoning preferred) is in the filing cabinet."

This is patently absurd. The mullahs don't have stoning in the "file cabinet." They stone people now. They have never in their own countries concealed that this is what they want to do. Hani Ramadan even praised it publicly in France, in Le Monde. Your assertion that Falwell is keeping it all a secret until he gains power, just as they did, founders on the fact that they never kept any of this a secret.

You say that "Hitler didn't announce that he was going to throw Jews, Gypsies, Socialists, Commies, Poles, homosexuals into concentration camps did he, but anyone who had read Mein Kampf would have know that, it is the same with the Reconstructionists."

This too is absurd. I wonder if you have actually read Mein Kampf, or Hitler's speeches in which he was quite open about his desire to create a Europe in which no Jew lived.

Your assertion that these Christians want to do this kind of thing, but are being mum about it for now, is baseless paranoia. If it isn't, bring me evidence: statements endorsing stoning from Christian leaders. Secret protocols, whatever. In the absence of such statements, your claims are as absurd as those of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion: fantastic slanders with no basis in fact, of the kind that can be levied against any group.

As for FrontPage being a "Christian 'Restoration' site," this demonstrates the absurd paranoia of your worldview. Horowitz is not a Christian. Nor are many of the people who post there regularly.

Now, as I have asked before, please go away and take your absurdities to a "Christian Restoration Watch" site. Found it yourself if you have to, and you can play your little games there and color all you want. I am trying to do serious work here to fight against a genuine threat to universally accepted notions of human rights, as are enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and elsewhere, and I have had much more than enough of your moral equivalence arguments, which I am coming to see more and more are the single greatest obstacle to people understanding the reality of the jihad threat.

But the jihad threat is real. Your charges are sick and slanderous fantasies. Present your evidence as I requested above, or it will be clear to all that you are just working out some anti-Christian animus, and no one should take you seriously.

islam is forcing people to make a decision between freedom and islam. some people are still in denial, thinking that islam is not the unreasonable, stringent religion that it is. western apologists for islam have not thought through the specter of being forced to bow down to a false god (allah) five times per day.
meanwhile, islam is trying to attain moral equivalence with christianity, and many people are giving islam the benefit of the doubt without thinking through how demanding it would be to live as a muslim.
christianity, the relationship with jesus christ, is based on love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, longsuffering, etc. these are called the fruit of the spirit. against such qualities there is no law, and there is no "moral equivalence" to such qualities, especially when compared to the terror and death of islam.
the fruits of the spirit are what they are and cannot be upstaged by the pompous bullying from islam. when a person becomes born again of the spirit, he knows it. it is no coincidence that we do not see any christians commiting terrorist acts. true born again christians are motivated by love. the love of god is what persuaded me to accept jesus christ by faith.
i believe islam exists to draw the world into a maelstrom of conflict, but jesus christ will rule the world in the end, and you can count on it.
