Jordan's Islamic legislators have asked King Abdullah to allow Hamas leaders who were evicted six years ago to return to Jordan, a legislator said Wednesday.Azzam Honeidi, head of the Islamic bloc in Parliament, told UPI that the 17 legislators made the request at a meeting with the Jordanian monarch Tuesday night.
He said the Islamic legislators raised the issue on the grounds that Hamas is a strong political movement in the Palestinian territories, with influence in the Arab and Islamic world.
Honeidi said the bloc pointed out to the king that "even the United States and Europe started establishing contacts with Hamas in view of its wide popular base among the Palestinians."
The legislators also argued that the evicted Hamas leaders held Jordanian nationality and according to the constitution no Jordanian should be expelled from the country...
Jordan expelled Hamas leaders, including Politburo chief Khaled Meshaal, in 1999. It later agreed to allow the return of those who held Jordanian nationality on condition they quit their positions in the movement and stopped any political or media activity.

So if its popular its all OK. Hitler was popular to if my history books are correct, so according to the dhimmi logic above (in the article) we were wrong to fight the very popular Nazism.
I wonder how popular Hamas would be without its machine guns and weapons?

This has nothing to do with Jordanian nationals, but has everything to do with creating the "line" between believer and infidel.

There you go: The only successful way to deal with moslems: expel them and only allow those with citizenship to return if they submit to the will of the country.
Israel is using the right formula (expulsion) on the wrong people (Jews). If Israel expels the arabs from ALL of Israel, including Yesha, there would be peace in the middle east.
Same holds true everywhere else in the free world. All moslems must either submit to the nation they live in, or else be physically expelled or imprisoned without exception.
This is the REAL road map to peace.
Whitehouse spokesperson Scott McClellan spoke of talks with Hamas because they are now "businessmen in suits".
Jack Straw and the EU are talking to those Hamas activists who were elected as mayors.
So now Jordan will have the CEO and board back in business to open another front, apart from Gaza, against Israel.
Amazing how loose talk continues to exact an unimagined price.
