Pak minister set up terror camps for jihadis

Kashmir update from the Times of India, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm.

When terrorism was at its peak in the Valley, Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed set up terrorist camps in Pakistan where around 3,500 jihadis were trained in guerrilla warfare.

This astonishing revelation has come from Kashmiri separatist leader and JKLF chairman Yasin Malik. According to Daily Times , Malik has said that Rashid actively supported the armed struggle in Kashmir by setting up training camps. Rashid trained around 3,500 jihadis in guerrilla warfare around that time, Malik has said.

Malik was talking to the audience in an exhibition of 1.5 million signatures by Kashmiris demanding their involvement in the dialogue process in Islamabad. The exhibition showed thousands of pictures of Kashmiri people participating in Malik's signature campaign.

"Sheikh Rashid has played a great role for Kashmir's liberation. He used to support the frontline Jihadis, but very few people know about his contributions," Daily Times quoted Malik as saying...

Although Malik praised Rashid for his contribution to the armed struggle, the minister refused to comment when journalists approached him.

This is EXACTLY the kind of thing that makes me fed up with our government's whitewash of who the enemy is. It isn't possible to win the war against Islamic fascism with the President still referring to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, et al as "strong allies" when they clearly are mortal enemies of America. We live in uncertain times when even Mr. Bush is unwilling to state the obvious and identify these Muslims as true and dangerous foes of Western culture, and American democracy.

Palistan, the mother of terror, Saudi Arabia, the father of terror and the president are hoodwinking America. None of them will be around, even to make excuses, when innocent Americans are slaughtered (like on 9/11) by terrorists fed, nurtured, nursed, raised, trained and armed by Pakistan or sheltered, funded and unleshed by Saudi Arabia. As for the El Presidente, Sheikh Jorge-Bin-Jorge Al Bush, what patriot, much less a Commander-in-chief, would leave the borders open?

Remember that Pakistan proliferated nuclear weapons technology and the man responsible, AQ Khan, is sitting pretty and protected like a Lord.

Remember that Pakistan proliferated nuclear weapons technology and the man responsible, AQ Khan, is sitting pretty and protected like a Lord

.. not to mention, Khaleed Sheikh Mohammed, Sheilk Omar, ISI, LeT, JeM, MMA, Bilori Mosque and Al-Farooki (for Pakistan's roots in terror, read 'Who Killed Daniel Pearl', specially the chapter 'Bomb for Bin-Ladin'.).

And Pakistan is US's ally against terror. With allies like Pakistan, who needs terrorists?

When will Bush get out of his Schizophrenic vision of Pakistan as "key" Western Ally. Wit Condi courting Mush i dont think theres gonna b a major role back on US policy towards Pakistan. Britain on other hand has been pro-Pak all along largely becoz of populist politicians who manipulate our foreign policy for electoral gains... In 20 years i'd luv to say:
"H8 to tell u this, but i told u so..."

Taking on terror witout taking on Pakistan is like fighting a balrog wit a toothpick. I'm astonished at the impunity with which Pakistan runs its Jihadi camps rite under the noses of Bush and wit knowledege of Mush.

Is it going to take a WMD attack on some American city to clear the decks of the dhimmi fools in power in the U.S. government?

Yup.

(Meanwhile, you start to feel like Cassandra.

Hey, You!--- I said, You start to feel like Cassandra.

Cassandra!

What, are you deaf!

The Greek mythological figure!!!

Cass- ann-- dra!!!!

She tried to warn... no, not warm... WARN!!!!)

You get the message. And the feeling, I'm sure.

Papa ray wrote...In that they "do nothing" is a planned guise for the forseeable future...

You have got to be kidding. This administration doesn't even know what a dhimmi is! I wish it were true that their ineptness is all part of a 'grand plan' but you are dreaming.

Hi Vikrant,

Contrary to common belief, Bush's war on terror ended when the election ended.

To answer your question, I won't be surprised if Bush NEVER, repeat, NEVER get out of his Schizophrenic vision. Infact, take away war on Iraq and you will find Bush has done everything to shield terrorists (Saudis and Pakis). Bush resisted inquiry into 9/11, shielded Saudis from the inquiry, blackened pages from 9/11 (imagine the nerve) interim report and escorted Bin-Ladins to safety! Add to that financial and arms aid to Pakistan and you have a perfect ally on terror!!!

TO summarize, terrorists can't ask for a more terror-friendly administration (even though billions are spent against terror, which, ironically, also helps terrorists).

Now, the real question is..Will the next President and his/her Administration and the Military [transformed] be able to carry it on to its conclusion?

GOD BLESS THE USA AND HER FIGHTING FORCES AND ALL WHO FIGHT WITH HER GIVE THEM STRENGTH, WISDOM, SIGHT, AND COURAGE TO DESTROY ALL ISLAMIC TERRORIST AND ALL WHO SUPPORT THEM AMEN

Wish you were right, Papa -- Sauds, Paks, and UAE launched the Taliban, and then didn't break diplomatic ties with them until 2 weeks before we started to kill 'em, (and then proceeded let UBL go with the aid of the Paks to boot... SICKENING...) The Saudis are sitting on 20+ trillion dollars worth of fuel, and sadly money talks in Washington and everyone wants to be left alone and driving cars. The Muslim hoarde KNOWS this...

Every ambassador, every X-Pres, ALL bought, paid for, and told what to say... Notice how extravagantly Bush blames weak sister Syria for all the woes in the region...? At least that bastard Assad makes a show of fighting the religious fascists -- while the Saudi, Iranian, UAE, Qatar etc. regimes continue to fund their largely successful jihad with virtually no consequences.

Maybe for 5 minutes our stunning victory in Iraq gave them pause, but now think how much comfort they're taking from our difficulties in keeping the military recruited! They're ululating all the way to the bank with boatloads of cash with no serious threat on the horizon. Total spent so far by them? Probably a couple billion -- Total spent by us? Probably upwards of a trillion... Do the math... Why should they stop??? They're WINNING! It would be great to think we're contemplating turning the whole region into a big glow-in-the-dark ceramics bazar, but that's just a fun fantasy -- It will never happen... SADLY for all our sakes!!!!

addendum -- At the very least, I hope Bush is smart enough to tell them (a la JFK) that any nuclear attack ANYWHERE in the world will be considered an attack on the US by:

Saudi Arabia
Egypt
Iran
UAE
Qatar
Pakistan &
North Korea

If I were Pres, that's just for starters... Burn the heart of Islam out and then take a breather... See what bubbles up, and then do it all again if necessary... That is if they still want to rear their ugly heads again, EVER.

jsla-

You forgot Yemen.

Well I said "for starters" didn't I ?? There's a nice mountain range between Yemen and Saudi which could act as a buffer against glowing sands, and possibly would make for a nice portage... Why go whole hog from the get go? I always it's a good idea to have an 11, a 12, and even a 13 on the volume knob --
