Pakistan denies terrorist camps exist after arrests in California

From the Bridge for Sale Department: Terrorist lamps, you say? No, we don't know anything about any -- oh, terrorist camps! Of course! In Pakistan? Why, the very idea is preposterous! Universities of jihad? Well, yes, but of course, jihad is an inner spiritual struggle!

From AP, with thanks to AP, with thanks to Skeetstreet:

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz denied Saturday there are terrorist camps in Pakistan, adding that he is seeking information from the FBI about a California man accused of receiving jihadist training near Pakistan's capital.

Other experts also questioned the FBI's version of events. Aziz's comments at a press conference came a day after a federal judge in Sacramento, California, refused to grant bail to Hamid Hayat, 22. His father, Umer Hayat, 47, also has been denied bail.

The men were arrested this week on charges of lying to federal investigators after what the FBI said was a yearslong investigation into possible connections between some residents of the predominantly Pakistani community of Lodi, which sits south of Sacramento, and Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida network. Three Pakistani citizens from Lodi, including two leaders of the Islamic community, also are being held on immigration complaints....

Assistant U.S. Attorney R. Steven Lapham argued the younger Hayat, a U.S. citizen, traveled repeatedly to Pakistan where he "learned to kill Americans" while attending a terrorist camp for six months in 2003 and 2004.

Umer Hayat said his son was drawn to jihadist training camps in his early teenage years while attending a madrassa, or religious school, in Rawalpindi, a city just outside Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, according to an FBI affidavit. An early version of the FBI affidavit alleged that Hamid Hayat attended a training camp called Tamal, also near Rawalpindi.

But Aziz said Saturday there are no terrorist training facilities in Pakistan. "There are no such camps," he said. Aziz said he had asked Pakistan's embassy in Washington for details of the FBI's allegations.

Terrorism experts noted Rawalpindi is an unlikely location because it is the site of both President Pervez Musharraf's official residence and the Pakistani army's general headquarters, though some Pakistani military and intelligence officials have been sympathetic to the Taliban and al-Qaida.

Experts said such camps do exist in other parts of the country, run by al-Qaida and other jihadist organizations along the remote, mountainous border with Afghanistan, and in the independent North-West Frontier Province, in Waziristan, in the Punjab and in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.

"We're standing by the affidavit filed in court," a later version that deleted the contested details, said the FBI's Cauthen. FBI spokeswoman Ann Todd in Washington, D.C., had no additional comment.

Pakistan IS a terrorist camp, what else?

"Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz denied Saturday there are terrorist camps in Pakistan..."

By this statement, the American public knows just about all it needs to know about the true colors of our 'ally' in the so-called war on terror.

Pakistan is no ally at all, but heavily influenced by individuals and groups either sympathic or directly supportive of the Jihad to destroy the United States.

The Bush administration and both political parties should take heed. People are waking up to the charade.

That's good enough for me,after all,a Muslim would never lie right.

The Lodi Muslims was only wanting to have a tour of the penal system from arrests to right through the Courts and the functions of Federal
prison and there affects on Muslims falsely imprisoned for links to Al-Qaeda or terrorists camps in Pakistan,a course at UCLA forces him to
pretend to be a terrorist and the Diploma only comes after the final Paper is submitted with his findings and confirmations of Islamophobia and Racism towards Muslims.

What's the issue here?

There are terrorist camps all over the Muslim world, including Pakistan.

They're called Mosques.

Give us a little help, show us where in the Quran Jihad is described as an inner struggle.
Why are the blind ill weak and women exempt? why do you need weapons and have to prepare? Why did the Prophet say after conquering Mecca say No migration Now only jihad?

Deny. Of course they will. This is pure kitman. Lying has become an art form and misdirection and transferring the guilt to victim is business as usual. I would have surprised if they had admitted their guilt as that would have been out of character.

Pakistan, the country where A. Q. Khan, the man who stole Western nuclear weapons secrets, and then managed, with the help of Pakistan's generals, to sell those secrets all over the world, to the enemies of the West, has no terrorist camps? How could they not? Pakistan is run by generals, Muslim generals, generals that is prompted by the teachings, the attitudes, the atmospherics of Islam. It is miserably poor because inshallah-fatalism makes it poor (which is why, aside from jute, and the child slave-labor that supplies those rugs sold by smiling Pakistanis in this country who become pretend pillars of their local communities and help organize, to assure their own well-being (and not to enlighten anyone about the real teachings or nature of Islam) those Muslim-Christian and Muslim-Jewish "dialogues that one finds everywhere (think of your own local, NPR-advertising rug company), Pakistan produces nothing, offers nothing, of value. It lives mostly on American and Western handouts and rolling debt relief, and the remittances from workers in the Gulf and in the West.

While the extremes of wealth, and the concentration of the wealth (a few hundred families own everything that counts), infuriate the Muslim masses, their fury is always directed at Infidels. How easy it is to keep them from seeing their real situation. Through the prism of Islam, everything can be blamed on the Infidel. And how quickly those fanatical masses can be whipped up.

One recent example is the farce over the treatment, the supposed "desecration" by American soldiers -- of which there is now only one out of the five initially reported cases that appears to be something other than an accidnet, and in any case, why non-Muslims need to treat with respect a text that calls for their murder as non-Muslims is hard to comprehend. But that was not a unique event.

Just the week before, when a Sunni suicide-bomber blew himself up in a Shi'a mosque, what did enraged Shi'a do? They did what any enraged Muslims would do -- they promptly marched off and burned down a Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet, killing 6 people inside, because they wanted to express their hatred of Infidel America, and what better way to do so than to attack the wings-and-thighs-and-cole-slaw of a brevetted Kentucky colonel?

And remember the famous siege at Mecca back in November 1979, when the Saudis could not dislodge the Muslims who had seized the mosque, in protest of the Saudi corruption and therefore "infidel" behavior? (The French, whose troops were promptly "made Muslims" for the occasion, finally put down the rebels, but of course this reliance on Infidels who had free rein in the mosque complex -- what a humiliation for the Saudis, and one that deserves to be better known all over the Muslim lands). In Pakistan, by way of hysterical protest, mobs marched on the American Embassy and killed, I recall, several Americans. That is alwyas the way. You cannot raise people up within a primitive and hate-filled ideology, one that depends entirely, and reinforces in every way, the division between Believer and Infidel, and not have it have an effect on many. And Infidels cannot be expected any longer to wait patiently to sort out just which Muslims really believe the damn thing, and which do not. That puts the burden on Infidels. By cutting off all Muslim migration to Infidel lands, by making the conduct of Muslim life not easy but difficult (in the first place by interdicting the receipt of funds from the Saudis for mosques, madrasas, and propaganda), we would merely be engaging in the most obvious and sensible of measures of self-protection. We don't need to justify this, to ourselves and certainly not to Muslims. It is they who must tell us what they intend to do, or what they can do, about the contents of Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira that raise up those fanatical mobs, and causes them, even when Shia attack Sunni or vice-versa, to vent their fury on Infidels.

And now they(Pakistan)have at least two silent running, undetectable, nuke subs. How the west/US/UN/world, ever let that happen is beyond me. let's just arm three year olds with uzzies, and get it over with. Unbelievable but true.
No terrorist camps in Pakistan? I believe that, but then again, I believe in the Easter Bunny as well...

Are there Muslims?

Do they read the Koran?

Then they must be terrorist camps in Pakistan.

And Iran.
And Saudi.
And every other Islamic state.

As Terminator pithily put it-

"Pakistan IS a terrorist camp."

To Prime Minister Aziz:

It's the Koran, stupid!

Again the muslim play on words..."there are no terrorist camps".

There are camps, but to a muslim those are not for terror, so they are not "terrorist" camps. Instead they are for jihad, islam, militias, killing Americans, but they are not for "terror".

Muslims and the west can play word games and the muslims will win.

Just like killing is not murder in a muslim nation, notice after every murder there is always a claim of dishonor or desecration. So a killer is not a killer, a thief is not a thief, a terror camp is not a terror camp, a lie is not a lie.

Now you will see within the next week or two the "where abouts" of these camps will be given by the FBI to Aziz. He will disburse and clean the locations, then have a press meeting showing nothing or something else in those locations.

By Aziz doing this his intent will be that the FBI will appear as if they don't know what they are talking about and that maybe they don't have a case, and that Pakistan is our friend, and the FBI is anti-islam.

I will assume on the other hand, that if this was a ongoing 1 year investigation that the FBI and CIA have already been there, photographed and infiltrated the camps. So after the Aziz press release the FBI could have theirs.
