From the Daily Times, with thanks to Twostellas:
BAHAWALPURE: A woman hospitalised after her husband and in-laws allegedly threw acid on her died in Bahawalpur Victoria Hospital on Saturday. Atiqur Rehman told the Naushra Jadid police that his sister Rozina was killed by her husband Asgher after she opposed his plan for second marriage. On Friday, Asgher’s sister Fatima and Shammoo threw acid on Rozina and her little daughter Sonia when they were asleep. Both were taken to the hospital where Rozina died.
Culture again KT and Shukri or Islamic tolerance in action?
Can't wait for you're response, thats right I forgot you aren't going to answer me are you KT?

F.A.O Granny Weatherwax & all other British readers:
Tonight (Sunday 12th June) BBC2 7pm
A programme called Dont Panic I'm Islamic
The BBC's latest finger wagging dawah on prime time television to lecture us all on why we are so evil and why we need to 'understand' Islam etc etc etc
Dont miss it.
Thanks Zico, I sent this BBC magazine article into JW last week but I was in danger of forgetting that the TV programme was on.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4079064.stm
This is the story of one of the Muslims who will be featured. Tariq Ahmed, a PR executive found that when he returned to the UK after 9/11 he found it hard to get job interviews. But his CV was much more acceptable (he reckons) when he changed his name to, wait for it,- Daniel Jacob.
The fact that his new name was Jewish is coincidental, he says. Jacob is his mother's family name and he chose Daniel because it was "innocuous and Anglo-Saxon.
The Muslims in this country are OK. We are not linked to terrorism. We are well educated, we have good jobs. We don't eat curry all the time and we even have the odd drink now and again," he says. [But] my 'brand' is Muslim and for people who don't know me or see me, but see my name on a CV, they will associate me with being Muslim."
See you back here this evening!
Granny Weatherwax
That name changing exercise reflects anti-Asian prejudice more than it does that chimera and lie 'Islamophobia'. A Sikh or Hindu probably faces the same handicap, but they dont whine about terrorism, get a prime time show on the BBC to expound on the evil of the non Muslim world etc etc etc They just get on and succeed.
Self pity and vacuous dawah.
Fortunatly for most of Mohammads victims, Mohammad did not have acid to pour on his enemies. If he did, it would have found it's way into the Quran as sanctified by Allah.
This particularly insidious way of killing someone is more than just murder, it's deliberatly causing the victim the most painful, agonising death they can come up with.
If you notice thats what muslims talk a lot about, and impliment if possible. Grizzly, painful deaths of their enemies, real or imaginary. Even family members. If this is not evil, nothing is.
To put it plainly, you vile nazi, make sure that you are never within reach of my hands. I do not talk or reason with Nazis, but it would give me a certain amount of pleasure to disable one.
Not that I would use acid; no, not even on Nazis. And what kind of object-without-a-name - I have tried every insult in English, none are strong enough - would pour deadly acid on his own six-year-old daughter? Murdering his own wife in such a way is obscene enough, but it is not unheard-of. But your own daughter? This is beyond any punishment the law can conceive - anyone who thinks death is good enough for such a man must have a very poor imagination. Go out into the street, find a six-year-old girl, look at her. And then think, if you can, of someone pouring a substance over that will devour her face, blind her lovely eyes (all little children have lovely eyes), make her howl in pain as her body is slowly burned to death. The only punishment I can think of for this man is being walled alive and fed through a hole for the rest of his days - with medical attention so that he does not die too soon.
The troll spews words like vomit,
like mohammed,
like the evil moon god,
there is no good here,
only a rancid, rotting,
mind that raves on due to fear.
Paolo-
You are too kind.
I personally think that staking him out in the Mojave desert on a red ant hill with his eyelids cut off is much more appropriate.
Ah C'mon, Treehugger!
You forgot the honey and the wet leather bindings.
Darn it-I did.
Will have to go find a Koran and "abuse" it for awhile to get back in practice.
Zico - thanks for telling me about 'Don't Panic - I'm Islamic', didn't know that was on. In fact it's on in 25 mins, so I'd better finish all my boring stuff before it starts.
duh-swami -- acid is meant not necessarily to kill, but to ruin the woman's face (and life, since her beauty and prospects for marriage are tied to her face) by physically destroying it. Burning and gouging the woman's face with knives is also common in the Muslim world.
Don’t Panic – I’m Islamic. BBC 2 Sunday 12 June @7pm. So what did we see?
Lots of admiration for Osama Bin Laden. He’s a sensitive spiritual man, don’t you know. Firm belief that 9/11 was a US plot.
Lots of bewailing of their victimhood. Fluffy shots of multi racial pilgrimage to Mecca. The young man who changed his name to Daniel Jacob who said 3 times (so it must be true) that 99% of Moslems are “all right”.
The hijabette (who stood as a candidate for Respect, George Galloways party) who wondered after 9/11 “If things got bad in Britain where would we go? And would we take the children…????!!!!!” She would leave her children behind in a country she considered too dangerous for herself.
A man that calmly takes home a video called something like Greatest Massacres of Bosnia and puts it on in front of his family. And later serves 5 years imprisonment for terrorist activity in Yemen.
The lies about Israel. Tu-toque about the Irish and the Israelis. Twisted, sarcastic toned voices reading out newspaper reports about terrorist activity. Try to make out that the British press is biased. Cut to Al Jazeera.
Iqbal Sacranie, sorry, the knighted in this weeks honours list, Sir Iqbal Sacranie reading out his e-mails, which politely suggested that Moslems might find the Middle East a more preferable home.
Then on to the role of women. And the usual arguments about how the hijab and veil are liberating and respectful. Nothing new there. Some film contrasting our liberated and respected Muslimas with some drunken ladettes on the streets of Slough. And the bearded traditionally dressed man, literally drooling as he described a ra-ra skirt, (are they fashionable again?) which he then declared to be disgusting. As my husband said, he seems to have noticed his disgust in some detail.
It ended with predictions that if the younger generation felt more oppressed then they would react. Is that a threat or a promise? Because I was left with the feeling that they had been given a chance to show some positive things, to convince us dhimmis that all is well. But instead they had been allowed to dig a hole, and just had not realised when in a hole STOP DIGGING.
I found it confirmed my opinion, in a way I was not expecting.
Metaxy...I think your right about the usual use of acid to disfigure ect, but in this case they apparantly killed her with it. So was that deliberate killing or more or less accidental? Only the guilty know for sure...
And to pour acid over a child, your own flesh and blood. They didn't mention that sort of thing on the BBC programme we have just been watching and commenting on. Poor, poor little girl.
Granny W - well observed. Also the man who said that a woman was like a diamond and that he wouldn't want 'it' on show so someone could 'nick it', but safe where he could polish it.
And did you notice, wherever they showed non-Muslims, eg Israeli soldiers, Bush etc they played sinister music, but when they showed fluffy nice Muslims they played tinkly Arabic music.
Al Beeb has really excelled itself.
Interested,
As I said on the other thread I can't make up my mind whether the programme told the truth by plain arrogance that they did not think the attitudes shown were wrong or offensive. Or whether some subversive person decided that given enough rope, the Moslem participants would, and did hang themselves. No sensible person would have come away from that programme thinking, heavens, our British Moslems are so hard done by.
And as for the bearded kurtahed letcher denying that his paintball hobby was effectivly terrorist training. Pshaw!
'Pshaw!' indeed.
In spite of myself, I did laugh at the lecherous git drooling over the thought of ra-ra skirts! Maybe he's a closet transvestite?
(Like transsexuals, there are more of those around than we will ever know.)
Ra-ra skirt and prophets beard all covered in paintball blobs.
On that happy thought I'm going to feed the cats and go to bed. Goodnight. Gaveston, where did I put my gaveston????
Granny and our other friends in the UK: If you're too pissed off about the Beeb's crap visit http://biased-bbc.blogspot.com/ - always some good people there who enjoy slagging Auld Auntie off.

The above link is an excellent piece written by a successful Indian Entrepreneur about PC run amok in Britain and why its bad for the "good immigrants" in the long run. Read and comment pls!
interested or Granny W.-
In the interests of anti-jihadists everywhere (outside of the U.K., where the phrase is opaque), what's a "ra-ra skirt"?
Ah, it's a sunny Monday morning and the first thing I see (second, really over my tea cup) is that shicklegruber is ein pratt, ist indeed kaput.
disillusionised_german (you must be looking forward to next season) and voletti, Thanks for the links I will read them later.
Big sleep, a ra-ra skirt. I believed that they came from the US originally, as part of the cheerleaders kit, hence the name. It is a very short skirt, consisting of two frills sort of gathered up(thats all, not two frills round the hem of a skirt, no skirt, just the frills) fashionable in the 80's. I have not actually seen one since then, but they must have made a come back hence the drool from chummy above. Disgusting, slurp! Interested may have a different perspective?
'A ra-ra skirt is a totem of post feminism.'
Actually, that's crap.
Didn't Kylie Minogue wear one in her first incarnation? That would explain a lot. Kylie has a very boyish figure, and many Mohammedans like that kind of thing, if you know what I mean.

I think you put it well yourself. It is difficult to believe that anyone watching this would come away with any impression other than a bad one, although peoples capacity for stupidity and dhimmi cringing is constant and persistent, so you never know.
I was just thinking whilst watching it, that if Chris Morris was ever to do an episode of Brass Eye on this subject this would be it. (Interested’s point about the use of music was an example of this). As Granny Weatherwax so eloquently said, when you are in a hole, stop digging. All the colours of fanatacism, misogynistic rapture, self-pitying victimhood, arrogant religiosity, rumbling anti-semitism, two-faced taqiyya, were all on open display, brought to us on prime time by the mandarins of the BBC. What the programme showed is the complete lack of self awareness that the Muslims featured possessed, completely blind to themselves, how they appear, completely without any sense of critical self-awareness or knowledge, just a rote of spite, bile and that heady and bitter sour wail derived from a most potent blend of and extremist ideology of superiority complex and a truly frightening low self-esteem problem.
And not once a pause for reflection as to the real cause of Islam’s bad name, the psychotic violence of Bin Laden and his minions, including, off the top of my head, the many Muslims from Zionist-Occupied England who have carried out suicide bombings in Kashmir and Israel (those lads came from Zionist-Occupied Hounslow and Zionioist-Occupied Derby) or the second shoe bomber (from Zionist-Occupied Gloucester), or any reflection that psychopathic terrorists who are plotting and have been plotting to kill as many dirty scumbag Kaffir as they can in London, Birmingham or Edinburgh exist in an Islamic arena in Britain rife and seething with hatred, hatred, hatred and more hatred, and that they cultivate themselves in a religious culture that nods and winks at the misdeeds of ‘our boys’, and that even Inayat Bunglawala of the Muslim Council of Britain believes that the anti-terrorism laws we have are part of a grand conspiracy to persecute Muslims, and who is the blame for all this trouble? The Jews, the Jews, the Jews.
God bless the British Broadcasting Corporation. I have thought for a while back that most Muslims are incapable of hiding the true nature of their bigotry and intolerance and hatred, that they will always end up cutting their own throat (whoops! Islamophobic analogy. Sorry!) and this programme was a prime example of that. At certain points, it became a kind of black comedy. On the one had complaining about how they are seen as intolerant, hateful and fanatics, on the other full of piss and vinegar about ‘the Zionists’ and the non Muslim sluts of Britain how Bin Laden is a sensitive and misunderstood man, and how America had it coming on 9/11. For many Muslims, I think 9/11 was like a sexual release and rapture.
Anyway, the BBC types will be hanging their head in shame for the crime of being a kaffir, and they believe that the entire British nation should do so too and hence the latest finger wagging dawah lecture from the Madrassa production unit of the BBC. It really is a propaganda house for Islam. Expect another prime-time documentary in about three months of the same nature, along with Rageh Omaar’s Islamic History of Britain, to inform us that we are scum, and Islam is the truth, and peace, and everything, and you better bow your heads and agree, or else you will get another stern lecture (and warning, always the threat of violence that tinges every prediction and observation about what the future for Muslims in Britain holds if they do not get their way, even from the ‘moderates’, the fish & chip eating people just like you and me) from the BBC and the brightest and best of our Muslim community, the hectoring bigots and religious fanatics that at best temper their hatred and demand for submission long enough for the Tarquin’s and Charles’s and Mohammed Iqbal’s from the BBC Madrassa production unit to pack up their cameras and sound equipment and go.
Zico: 'you said it!'
Wow! I think I am on LSD!
Voletti
Great article by the Indian entrepeneur. Voices like that from the ethnic minority communities are rarely heard today in Britain. He has the attitude and platitudinous feeble-brained cant of the liberals down to a tee. I have come to the conclusion that many white liberals have become a significant enemy of the various ethnic minority communities in Britain in terms of helping them upwards in education and general well being in Britain. Add post-imperial self-flagellating liberals with a deep belief in the state and you get cosseting and an ethos of welfare dependancy. Add to it absolute tolerance and advocacy of 'Muslim Community Leaders' and the imams and Mullah rule in the name of, 'Oh, well, the Crusades were terrible, and the Americans are like the new Nazi's, and Israel is an apartheid colony', and you get a match made in heaven.
Now, can anyone explain to me why Indians, who face the same racism and have similar culture and language difficulties and tension between their Hindu and Sikh religious beliefs and modern western society are relatively successful in Britain, with very low crime rates and extremely low welfare dependancy rates, high education levels, high successful business levels, and generally seem to have done well and continue to do well in Britain?
Is there any liberal out there who would like to explain this disparity between Indians and Pakistanis in Britain?
One thing is for sure is that the BBC wont be making a documentary about it soon. Any disparity must be caused by the fact that the Indians live largely in liberated Southall or Leicester whilst the Muslims live largely in Zionist-Occupied Bradford and Zionist-Occupied Brick Lane and Zionist-Occupied Everywhere, because it is all a conspiracy, Inshallah the liberals will help us destroy America, and I am being persecuted and Muslims are being kept down in Britain as part of the oppression of the Palestinians....
'Hold on Tarquin, get on the phone to the BBC Madrassah production unit, a Muslim child just tripped over on the pavement and hurt herself in Birmingham, there are rumours that the paving stones were laid by a company with a few Zionist's on their management commitee, get some stock footage of George Bush, Mohammed Iqbal's coming to interview the victim of this Islamophobic paving stone, ask the Israeli Defence Force for a comment, get Orla Guerin to ask the questions, whilst there get the pictures of smiling Hijabi's and contrast with those infidel-sluts in tottering about in high-heels drinking alcohol, and ignore the Indians, they are collaborationist scum, bingo, another documentary for the finger-wagging cringing dhimmi BBC, mines a treble, bring me the chardonnay we can discuss it all in our bistro in Hampstead with the bruschetta and falafell, Allah-hu-Akbar!'
Zico
My post was a mere report, your's is a critique. :-) And your second post, spot on again.
I forgot to mention one specific news item read out in the silly cod dramatic voice, (trying to imitate What the Papers Say,)
It's the black heart of Islam we object to, not it's black face
That's so, so, true - it's not racism, it's the ideology we find offensive, but they JUST DID'NT GET IT.
Interested, I think you are right about Kylie, and her ahem, peachy, bottom is much admired. I do wish her well in her illness.
Zico - very well said.
To think that at the moment there is a window of opportunity to tell the truth about Islam before the religious hatred bill becomes law.
However, in a way this is good. As you and Granny Weatherwax rightly say, this programme does not put Islam in a good light at all. Some of my more lefty friends, who think I'm over the top about Islam, saw this programme and now think I have a point.
The biggest battle we face in the UK, and probably elsewhere in the West, is with the PC lefties. That's why I spend so much time at Harry's Place battling it out. The PC lefties are usually atheists - nothing intrinsically wrong with that, but they lump all religions together as nonsense, without distinguishing nonsense from dangerous nonsense.
But if the lefties see sense and realise that Islam is actually dead against the values they supposedly hold dear....if only....
Granny
That's so, so, true - it's not racism, it's the ideology we find offensive, but they JUST DID'NT GET IT.
I think what we are seeing is the lashing out and vicious response of a cornered child. For the first time in history, Islam is receiving large scale, widespread, deep popular critical scrutiny. Its texts, culture, ethos, morality and belief system are being subjected to examination, modern, dispassionate critical scrutiny, as much as Christianity has been, and the various claims made for Islam are being tested, and for people who believe that to even doubt one sura of the Koran is to burn in hellfire, and that all apostates belong with the goats slaughtered at Eid, and that the world is living in black ignorance and lunacy for refusing to 'accept' Islam, for them, to experience basic simple humanist criticism and scrutiny, even of the most simple kind, is a cause for panic, proof in the evil of the Kaffir. And they are in a state of extreme mental turmoil at the explicitness with which Islam is being examined and deconstructed at every level of society.
This is just not how things were supposed to be. How can they not be sure that our knowledge that Submission and Islam are the rapturous consummation of humanity and all else is evil, depraved, filthy, impure, disgusting?
It is this panic that leads to the taqiyya, hatred, rage and distress, the deep mental distress of realisation that the world is not as it should be, that the world has not submitted to Allah and Mohammed, does not bow down to Mecca, and on the contrary, is not falling to its feet in awe of the Prophet's way, but is deconstructing it, poking and examining it, is not impressed, sometimes laughs at it, or is indifferent to it, or chooses to cherish and celebrate their own religions, and denies it victory and dominion over all the lands and people.
This rage and hatred and distress is apparent in the discourse of many Muslims in programmes such as the BBC produced, and their apologists amongst liberal 'intellectuals', you know the ones.
September 11th was a gigantic baby's hissy-fit and a throwing out of toys from the pram, a kicking out against the world for denying Islam its rightful place as overlord and Chancellor of humanity. Thats why so many Muslims felt rapture and an almost sexual release over it.
Keep this in mind when you read articles written by Muslims or watch documentaries of the BBC Madrassa Production Unit kind.
Granny W - I forgot about Kylie's illness in going into uberbitch mode. I hope she'll be OK.
Zico - excellent stuff - you're really on a roll today. Why, why, why do people just not get it?!
Why, why, why do people just not get it?!
Because their school of 'Enlightenment' has a fatal flaw. It presumes that everyone is rational and can eventually be 'tamed' into democracy, tolerance, plurality. It is too frightening for them to imagine that there is a belief system that posesses the attributes that Islam does. Any nastiness emanating from the Islamic world must be caused by the Big Bad Wolf...the West, who are to blame for everything, because to inspect the core and source of Islamic attitudes is to admit something dark and bleak exists. Hence what cannot be denied is the fault of others, 'true Islam' is tolerant, Wahaabism is a reaction to Western Imperialism and Zionism. So they bury their heads in the sand and go into denial.
Granny, Zico and all other UK posters:
I don't know a lot about the licensing system you have in the UK to receive TV broadcasts, but I expect at least some of the fees go toward funding Al-Beeb. If so, ever considered what a mass movement to refuse to renew fees might have?
Waterdragon
Collecting the licence fee is supposed to be a bit of a problem. Or so the licence authority makes out with it's fleet of detector vans, computor database and dire adverts. Every year at least one person somewhere sends them a photocopy of last years licence in protest at too many repeats of last years programmes. If we would form together properly to boycott the fee, then that's half the battle for challenging a great deal more.
I make quite a few complaints to the BBC, not just about their coverage of Islamic matters, although I have yet to have a satisfactory apology.
Just what kind of acid are they using and where are they getting it?
Granny, Zico and others:
You guys think that show obviously revealed the true Muslim character. I would bet all my life's savings, however, that most Western Leftists would not see what you saw, and would in fact come away from viewing that show with a renewed sense of multi-culturalist "sensitivity" for the plight of Muslims.
Granny:
I have heard about the fees collection problems, but yes, given what I keep reading on MelaniePhillips.com about the BBC, it's time for organized action on the biased broadcasting. Complaining doesn't seem to do any good, Michael Grade's installation notwithstanding because the organization is so thoroughly steeped in it.
The BBC's Canadian sister is virtually as bad, but somewhat less preoccupied with Israel (whereas the BBC seems to find every pretext possible to denigrate Israel.)
D.T. taunted: "Culture again KT and Shukri or Islamic tolerance in action?"
King replies: A combination of radicalism, backwords culture and custom and cowardly criminal behavior.
D.T.: "Can't wait for you're response, thats right I forgot you aren't going to answer me are you KT?"
King replies: I find it amusing that you had to call me out on the very first post to this thread. Shows just how much impact I've made.
D.T.: "Questions are getting harder to answer?"
King respoonds: Not at all, I am just not impressed with the kinds of questions being posed. Frankly, few of them (like this one) are not worth much of my time. You can certainly ciontinue to ask me, though. If I deem something as civilised I may toss you a reply!
K.T. "Must say the trolls are being quiet lately?
At least ia786 is gone."
King: Naw - I've personally been quite busy tending to my daily acivities and work. When I have free time you can rest assured that I will surface.
What I find most ironic is that you immediately taunted me (a troll) to reply to you, then stated you were glad that the trolls have been quiet. This either means that you actually find this exchange stimulating and are too immature to admit that, or you are so far brainwashed that you see an opposing point of view as wrong 100% of the time. I think its a combo of both. Either way, I take great satisfaction in proving you wrong time and again.
f.g.- It is usually sulfuric acid from batteries. However, several other types could be available depending on the industrial nature of their location. If many metal works are around, plenty of hydrochloric acid would be available due to metal stripping.
Is there anybody reading on JW/DW who is likely to hear about the little daughter's progress?
All British posters: I agree that the BBC is bad (and not only about Islam - their posts from Italy about the current referendum on artificial insemination were nothing more than ads against the Catholic Church), but it is far from the worst of a very bad bunch. Do none of you watch Channel 4 News? Jon Snow, the anchorman, who fancies himself as the poor man's Paxman, undisguisedly hates America, and every second daily bulletin is fronted by a headline about how badly the Americans and "their" Iraqi government are doing. Today, on a day when every other news bulletin led with the scandalous failure of the police to protect a young woman from her murderous boyfriend, Channel 4 opened with a piece about some new photos of Saddam Hussein (fully dressed and quite healthy-looking) released by the Iraqi government, trying to make a grave scandal of the supposed violation of this mass murderer's privacy. I doubt even Dan Rather would do something so stupid.
I agree that Channel 4 is not good. They showed the programme about MPCAUK's actions during the recent election apparently telling other Moslems who to vote for in any given constituency. I didn't see it so cannot comment further but Interested and Zico were not impressed.
But the thing with the BBC is that we all pay for it BY LAW whether we watch it or not. Channels 3,4&5 etc are dependent on advertising which does act as a certain curb on extremes. The BBC meanwhile keeps on about it's quality output and its public service broadcasting and trading on it's old reputation for reliability and integrity. And, unlike Channel 4 the BBC, through BBC World Service is the voice of the UK to most of the planet. Heaven alone knows what goes on through BBC Arabic, the comments in English that sometimes make it onto the UK website are bad enough.
