CANBERRA - Australian hostage Douglas Wood was freed from his Iraqi captors on Wednesday after being held for six weeks, Australian Prime Minister John Howard said."Mr Wood was recovered a short while ago in Baghdad in a military operation which I'm told was conducted by Iraqi forces, in cooperation in a general way with force elements from the United States," Howard told the Australian parliament.
Howard said Wood was now safe and well under the protection of Australian troops in Baghdad.
Wood, a 63-year-old engineer married to an American woman, has been held hostage since early May, when a two-minute video of him was delivered to news agencies.
Iraqi militants had warned Australia to begin withdrawing its troops from Iraq or they would kill Wood...
The Muslim community in Australia is going to get the credit!! Sheikh Hilali, the top leader of Autralian Muslims, went to Iraq to free Mr Wood. His aim was to get credit for the benifit of the Muslim community in Australia, as he said when he was talking to the kidnapers in Arabic language. Unfortunately, the Australian people are deceived by Muslims and their games, and also by their deceiving speaches. Fantastic news, better than iraqui and american forces have freed him.
According to the A.P, he was rescued during an iraqi army security sweep, part of Operation Lightning. The soldiers met light resistance which led to the arrest of three insurgents. They found Mr. Wood under a blanket. The insurgents tried to claim that he was their sick father. The kidnappers were also holding an Iraqi citizen, who was freed unharmed. This is great news, I can't believe how little attention its getting from the mainstream media.
Thanks to the Labour Government at the time he's got permenant residence.I bet he(mufti)had nothing at all to do with it.It will be interesting to here what Mr Woods has to say.

Did you see Andrew Bolt rip into the Muslims this morning on "Today" (much to the disgust of Muzzie loving Tracy Grimshaw - could you see her in a burka?).
I know Andrew Bolt gets up some people's noses - but mate - he is worth his weight in gold when it comes to showing Muslims in their true light. He went into detail about how this "Man of Peace" Mufti was taking all the credit FOR POLITICAL REASONS (even the Lefty on the Panel said that to!).
He also said it was for purely PR image reasons the Mufti did it - especially after he said it was OK to be a sucicde bomber and after what he said re 9/11.
I know I shouldn't think this way, but I have a vain hope that the Mufti will be blamed by his fellow Muslims for releasing the infidel (maybe thats why he is speaking in English - to protect his own hide from his Arabic Speaking Muslims, while getting credit in the English speaking world - the Mufto is doing an Arafat), and as such they will show this "Mufti" some of their Muslim love.
How poetic would that be? It would also mean one less bludger on our Social Security system, who has contributed next to nothing to it over a lifetime (after all - he hasn't been here for a lifetime has he?)

Abbas - I don't think the mufti will get the credit for this. Most Australians have very well-honed bullshit detectors, and are aware of the sheik's true agenda.
Depends where you live, I suppose, but people in Sydney are not deceived by Muslims and their lies. So far, since Muslim Lebenese 'refugees' came here during the 1980s, Sydney people have seen some wonderful benefits of multiculturalism, as Downer said -

Think about how many people you know who want to come on board. Make lists of people who support us: Lawyers, TV-personalities, Politicians (I know they are prostitutes but we need them too) Make sure that the people you talk to can be trusted and that they have a 'clean slate'- we can't have any ex-cons or right wing fanatics or otherwise. Just simply folks who realize that something has to be done about infiltration, deliberate deception, exploitation of our welfare system and that integration and assimilation of Mohammedans into our society is a pipe dream.
Then we will continuously hammer the media to drive the message homw. We'll estblish the Australian 'Jihad Watch'- etc. anything to expose the blood-cult for what it is. Sounds good? Let's do it!
