Basayev broadcast enrages Russia

Maybe ABC was playing the dhimmi. On the other hand, I think it's good for Americans to hear Basayev saying what he is saying. It counters a bit of the "Islam is peace" propaganda that continues to inundate us. From the BBC, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:

Russia says it is outraged by an interview with Chechen rebel leader Shamil Basayev broadcast on America's ABC television network.

The Russian foreign ministry summoned a senior US diplomat in Moscow to express its "strong indignation" over the show....

The interview with Shamil Basayev - recorded at his hideout in Chechnya - was aired on ABC's Nightline programme on Thursday.
Many children were hurt in a gun battle as the Beslan siege ended....

In the interview, Mr Basayev - speaking through an interpreter - admitted that he was "a bad guy, a bandit".

"Ok, so I'm a terrorist, but what would you call them (the Russians)?

"If they are the keepers of constitutional order, if they are anti-terrorists then I spit on all these agreements and nice words," he said.

The warlord accused Russia of killing thousands of Chechen women, children and old people in what he described as "a colonial war".

When asked if Beslan-style attacks could happen again, he said: "Of course they can. As long as the genocide of the Chechen nation continues... anything can happen."

The warlord also refused to accept responsibility for the deaths of children killed in Beslan, blaming instead Russian authorities.

Whenever possible, the tapes of the Beslan killings should be broadcast again and again, and the statements made before, during, and after the massacre, by Muslim groups -- not only in Chechnya, not only in Russia -- worldwide about the hundreds of children, parents, and teachers killed. Again, and again, until the word "Beslan" can be used as shorthand among Infidels everywhere.

as usual, the ghouls of islam take the credit for butchering children, but not the blame.

real men, aren't they?

Hugh.

I have a haunting suspicion that it is not mere threats that make the MSM report favorably about Islam and the terror committed the sons of Allah.

The fact that every publicly traded company from Disney (CBS) to Time-Warner, from Google to Yahoo, Newsweek to Murdoch relies on income from advertising and on investment from shareholders muzzles the news-services. Al Waleed has invested billions in the networks and he is known to 'call' when he doesn't like what he is hearing. You would know that Al Waleed is one of those Arabs who wants to see 'the root-causes of terror addressed'....If the Arabs could, the would buy the MSM outright.

In other words, our information is corrupted and if it wasn't for the bloggers we would be spoonfed with crap.

How very frustrating...

Why do we let foreigners own our most critical businesses?

The Russians aren't too happy about this. Perhaps we need to explain to them how the stolen arab wealth now controls our news media. Who needs Pravda when you have arab money telling you what you need to know?

Vis a vis Beslan. I ran across something yesterday from a Russian source (should have saved it) but it seems that there are concerns that flame throwers were used by the Army which ignited explosives, and/or caused the roof to collapse.

I just googled Beslan flame thrower and found a number of links, but this one Kommersant

Should interest you and be a starter.

Another from the Scotsman

RUSSIAN authorities are investigating whether the fire that engulfed Beslan High School last year, where more than 300 children perished, was started accidentally by the army.

Prosecutors say a bazooka-type weapon, the Shmel, was fired into the school hall as special forces troops battled with Chechen terrorists holding more than a thousand children, parents and staff hostage.

On the other hand, here's a bit of rationalization that will further hilite the duplicity of Muslims who denounce "terrorism"

From the Kavkas Center

For example, they are calling Basayev a criminal, with whom one can never negotiate. At the same time they were suggesting that Putin meets with Maskhadov (before he was killed).

But it is a complete absurd and hypocrisy, which can never be accepted under any circumstances.

Basayev has not committed any action that falls under the category of terrorism in time of peace. All actions of Basayev have been taking place exclusively in the conditions of military aggression and invasion. I.e., they have had exclusively defensive and retaliatory nature and have been carried out in the conditions of wartime. Nor can one consider volunteer Basayev’s participation in the events in Dagestan as terrorism either, since it was a legitimate (according to the same International Law) volunteer operation in response to the call of Dagestani Muslims for help when they were being exterminated.

So in their mind targeting Children is a legitimate act of war, and they believe it is sanctioned by International Law.

Hugh, this bears repeating: "Whenever possible, the tapes of the Beslan killings should be broadcast again and again, and the statements made before, during, and after the massacre, by Muslim groups -- not only in Chechnya, not only in Russia -- worldwide about the hundreds of children, parents, and teachers killed. Again, and again, until the word "Beslan" can be used as shorthand among Infidels everywhere"

But with footage of 9/11 having been sanitized for our protection, the Beslan footage has been air-brushed out of history, too, and for the same reason. Our problem lies in our press only being concerned with their free speech, but not with their obligation to be informed.

Please, we don´t have to interview terrorists, thy´re rubbish
