CBS/Infinity Radio has refused to air paid commercial announcements for an upcoming non-partisan symposium on terrorism, claiming "people might be too emotionally affected" by it.The People’s Truth Forum, which is sponsoring the symposium titled The Radical-Islamist Threat to World Peace and National Security to be held in Connecticut on Sept. 21, was rebuffed by CBS/Infinity Radio when the PTF’s president, Jeffrey Epstein, tried to purchase commercial time to publicize the event.
The official statement from CBS/Infinity Radio said, "Too many people might be emotionally affected by the subject matter. … It's too controversial to be aired at this time."
Yes. Jihad terrorists and their sympathizers might get reeeaaall upset.
CBS/Infinity Radio's decision comes on the heels of the recent terrorist bombings in London which claimed over 50 lives."The commercial segments were to commence on July 18. They were considered critical to the success of our symposium, which has received quite a bit of favorable response from the 'First Responder' community," Epstein said. "We have people coming from as far away as Australia to attend the event."
The symposium is scheduled to feature lectures by Dr. Harvey Kushner, noted terrorism expert; Brigitte Gabriel, a former anchor for world news in the Middle East and a prominent Arab-American journalist; Robert Spencer, noted author on the subject of terrorism and publisher of JihadWatch – published weekly in Human Events; and Laura Mansfield, author and counterterrorism expert.

And why shouldn't they air anti-jihadi ads? Maybe because it'll hurt a certain political party that's been hell-bent on discrediting the war against jihadi-support swamps in Iraq and elsewhere?
These media gasoles are the real "obsessively partisan" obstructionists - a charge that some liberals who visit this site have liberally smeared the rest of us here with too often. So blinded by hatred for the GOP admin these media worthies are, they now don't care if their bias becomes too obvious to ignore anymore.

Despite all of the interest in respecting "Diversity", our culture actually has no real interest in that which is regarded as "too obscure." This is nothing new, of course. Money has always called the shots, and that which is commercially successful is worshipped. Noncommercial radio was supposed to stand apart from The Marketplace, but ever since the professional consultants got their claws into it, the trend has been toward more and more of less and less. Finally, the open-minded listener is denied the experience of the unfamiliar. And that is more than unfortunate.

Doesn't the CBS news "emotionally upset" a lot of people daily by reporting on child rapes and murders (which they play up to the grisly hilt on their sister 'magazine' shows)?
Their excuse is lame, lame-brain and a bald-face lie.
Try getting some rival (SLATE? DRUDGE REPORT?) to take on CBS/Inifinity's cowardice and the rank deception in this pathetic 'rationale' for denying the American public their right to know what is being done to defend our land from the terrorist threat.
(I guess CBS will have to change it's trademark open "EYE" symbol to an ostrich's egg.)
Hammer them from other journalistic angles until their b.s. shell cracks.
Let's not emptionally disturb or offend anyone by telling the truth...that's too much of a burden, and has to be treated like Dracula to sunlight. Did the reps at CBS/Infinity radio bow toward Mecca when making this decision?

Who wrote that flash presentation seriously? A Muslim, a terrorist.
This past Thursday, 60 minutes did a repeat of that show about the terrorist from Canada who got into the US, and we sent him to Syria. Now he is out, and back in Canada. The interview was so smooth, so taquiyya. The guy, declaring his innocence, was very careful to keep this statements to 2 to 3 second soundbites, "I cried.", "They used a thick cable to beat me.", "I pleaded with the Americans. and on and on with slick 2 and 3 second sound bitss." It was a thing of beauty. Vicky Mabry, a dhimmi, ate it up.
It was disgusting. Oh at the end, it has one of those 'closer' scenes where Arar and his cloaked wife walk into the Candian park sunset pushing their baby buggy. Why violence, when we can conquer them with babies and taquiyya?
It was all to clever, the taquiyya masters must be proud to have found such a pliable dhimmi as CBS. Praise Allah. We have been blesed with so many ignorant dhimmis to help us conquer the World. Praise Allah. We have been blessed.

I could not get a direct link to the 60 Minutes II so you have to do that extra step.
Try contacting the "usual suspects" Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilley, John Bachelor... They would probably, at least, consider making an announcement of the event, if not actual ad space.
