Explosive found in London bombing

...in the apartment of the NC State grad student. Was more jihad to come to London? From UPI, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

British police say a powerful explosive has been found in an apartment in the English town of Leeds as the investigation into the London bombings expands.

Investigators told CNN the explosive TATP (triacetone triperoxide) was discovered in an apartment rented by Magdy el-Nashar, an Egyptian biochemist who has been detained by Egyptian officials in Cairo in connection with last week's London terror attacks....

TATP is a common explosive used by terrorists. But CNN said it was not immediately clear whether the same explosive found in el-Nashar's apartment was used in the London transit system attacks.

Egyptian press jolted by biochemist's arrest
Egypt's newspapers on Saturday convey widespread shock at the arrest in Cairo of an Egyptian biochemist, Magdi Mahmoud al-Nashar, for questioning over the London bombings.

The family of Magdi al-Nashar has been in shock. Their humble home in Cairo's Al-Basatin district has been transformed into something that looks like a military barracks, surrounded by police and the media.

Interior Minister Habib al-Adli has said that 33-year old Egyptian Chemist Dr Magdi al-Nashar who has been arrested recently by the security forces has no connection with the terrorist al-Qaeda organisation.
In an exclusive statement to Al-Jumhuriyah, he said that what has been reported by US and British TV channels and published in Arab and western press on his connection with al-Qaeda organisation was groundless, and was based on hasty conclusion. He also said that reports that British police officers had been present while he was questioned by Egyptian officers were wrong.
