Indonesian police swoop on suspected misunderstanders of Islam

"Indonesian police swoop on suspected terrorists," from Reuters, with thanks to Anthony:

Indonesian police say they have arrested 17 militants planning to bomb the national police headquarters in Jakarta and have linked some of them to last year's blast outside the Australian embassy.

National police spokesman Aryanto Boedihardjo says 11 of the men were
arrested last week near the city of Solo in Central Java province.

The rest were arrested in Jakarta.

"They are suspected of carrying out terror acts by planning to bomb the headquarters of the police in Jakarta," Mr Boedihardjo said.

He says some of the suspects are also thought to have provided the detonator for the suicide truck bomb outside the Australian embassy in Jakarta.

That blast killed 10 people on September 9, 2004.

Police say the Al Qaeda-linked regional militant network Jemaah Islamiah (JI) carried out the embassy bombing, as well as the October 2002 blasts on the holiday island of Bali that killed 202 people and the 2003 suicide car bombing of the JW Marriott Hotel in Jakarta in which 12 died...

Indonesian police swoop on suspected misunderstanders of Islam.

These terrorists are understanders of Islam and of Muhammad's life. They merely seek to emulate the life of the prophet as their Koran demands of them. What was the life of the so called prophet? It was a life of conquest, assassination, aggressive warfare, slaving. Especially female sex slaves making them into Islamic baby factories. I'm sure Mo' had a kind and gentle side back in Mecca but his life as a warlord overshadows it. The toughest Mafia bosses have a gentle, sentimental side with their family, children and friends.

FWIW the Mafia originated in Sicily, which as we know was under Muslim rule for 300 years, and the word mafia is derived from the Arabic maehfil which means unity, and the payment of "protection money" is of course jizyah.

In that regard I think it is past time to stop calling jizyah "head tax" or "poll tax" or any other of the euphemisms, and refer to it as it is the extraction of "protection money" from the non muslim population - i.e. jizyah is nothing more than the maehfil protection racket.

Wow. Al-Reuters actually called them "terrorists" in the headline... ...but "militants" in the body of the article.
