LONDON -- Three blasts rocked the London subway and one tore open a packed double-decker bus during the morning rush hour Thursday, sending bloodied victims fleeing in what a shaken Prime Minister Tony Blair called "barbaric" terrorist attacks. A U.S. law enforcement official said at least 40 people were killed and London hospitals reported more than 300 injured...."Whatever they do, it is our determination that they will never succeed in destroying what we hold dear in this country and in other civilized nations throughout the world," said Blair.
U.S. authorities were monitoring the situation, but the official said it was too early to say who was responsible for the blasts. Investigators were trying to determine whether an al-Qaida cell's claim of responsibility for the attacks was credible, the official said....
A group calling itself "The Secret Organization of al-Qaida in Europe" posted a claim of responsibility for the blasts, saying they were in retaliation for Britain's involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Web statement, republished on the site of the German magazine Der Spiegel, could not be immediately confirmed.
They should've called themselves "Palestinians Under Semitic Stress."

It saddens me deeply that people going about their daily business, trying simply to live their lives can be cut down in this cowardly and inhumane way.

I'm sorry but I do not believe that all Muslims are evil. They should be allowed to live where they want, and live as they please. I believe that they are a peaceful group, and that it just a group of nuts training and brainwashing desperate Muslims to do these type of things. We all have to learn to allow others to be what they are and live side by side. I don't try to force any of my Jewish friends to be catholic,nor would I force a muslim to be one. I don't happen to know any personally, but it isn't right for a few crazies to ruin a whole religion. It's a new racisim that is evolving and it shouldn't happen. "Ahammadia" is a breakaway movement within Islam which has for over a 100 years tried to move away from the expansionist, imperialistic and militant intentions shown by Sunni & Shia Islam. See the web site below.

We are so reviled by Sunni & Shia Islam that the Pakistani constitution lists us as infedels and not muslims.
We can not share mosques, and are not allowed to share common burial ground as they feel we "pollute" them.
In recent times there has been much violence exhibited towards us by the Sunni in particular because they feel that we devalue Islam.
Their biggest gripe is that we believe in a huzoor (the 4th at the moment) who started the Ahmaddia movement (Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908) in a small and remote village, Qadian, in the Punjab, India). His eminence Hadhrat Mirza claimed to be the expected reformer of the latter days, the Awaited One of the world community of religions (The Mahdi and Messiah).
His teachings are biased very strongly towards a softer Islam. The Sunni say that this title can only be accorded to Muhammed the prophet, hence the "beef".
Because of this we are treated worse than Christians & Sikhs in our own country of Pakistan.
Ahmaddis tend to be more successful in business and education...and do not show militant tendencies..another few reasons why we are hated by the muslim community.

Yes, Naseem. It is, indeed, that so many innocents have died and will die before the jihaddists are defeated. They are more than a tiny minority, unfortunately, but they certainly aren't the majority either. I understand that while the Iraqis don't like being occupied, they hate the jihaddists even more. And we know where the bulk of their "moral" support and funds come from and we know why (KSA and Iran)-- to consolidate their own grip on power. It's recognizing who they are and doing something about it that seems to have eluded the powers that be.
My own feelings, as I watched what has been going on for the last decade or so, was that we were about to be confronted with something akin to the rise of totalitarianism of the 1930s/40s, but here, nations are not going to war so much as a faction has brought war unto the world.
For those who do not know Naseem, she has a long history of being an apologist for Islam on this website. It's always those who "misunderstand" or "misapply" the peaceful teachings of Mohammad that are responsible for the violence; isn't it Naseem? No. As Robert has so amply demonstrated, it is those who most diligently adhere to the teachings of your prophet that are responsible for ordering or carrying out the atrocities.
There were a handful of humane Nazis as well but it would be extraordinarily difficult to interpret Mein Kampf as anything other than a call for global domination and the extermination of the Jewish race.
The display of brainless hate on this thread is explainable but not justifiable. Some of us dream of simply removing Islam by an act of violence so as to be then able to go back to their interrupted slumbers. Others realize that the enemy will have to be fought for a long time and that talk of deportations and destroying mosques is nothing more than useless posturing by people who do not want to face the reality of hard, lifelong, painful slog and sacrifice. And I speak as someone who could have been there - Liverpool Street station is my gateway to central London, and I was there only a couple of days ago.

My deepest condolences to the British, yesterday one of my Brit friends returned home to the states after a visit in London.
The UK has to start rounding up these monsters and return them to the sandbox. These Islamists have been allowed to get away with far too much in Europe. Time for them to go home.
Here in England, my grandparents faced a highly disciplined, well trained, professional army (the Nazis) with a lavish array of the latest weapons which was capable of storming across any Western European country and imposing its evil regime on hundreds of millions.
The Muslims are the complete opposite to the above and can only successfully engage in sneak attacks on the innocent in cowardly massacres. Although they can terrorise, they can never kill or enslave 60 million people here.
On balance, which enemy would you prefer to face?

I think that it's about time that all muslims who are non-citizens of Britain are shown the door.
The "small minority of extremists" are always able to be joined by any moderate muslim who turns religious because of some life crisis that he/she experiences.
The jihadists in England are even crazier and stupider than I gave them credit for.
Why they would want to harass a people that is mainly either sympathizing with them or indifferent to the fight (and therefore practically 'on their side', already, -being anti-Bush, anti-U.S., and anti-war ...since only Blair and a few others in power ever supported the Iraq intervention) shows that they don't know how counter-productive it is to bite the hand that is feeding them and allowing their fellow Islamicists to turn London into a recruiting station for global jihad terror.
