But our investigation reveals other facts.The men who ran Iqra - Mohammad Tafazal, army-trained Martin Abdullah McDaid and Naveed Fiaz - allegedly funded the store through grants to the Hamara Youth Centre, which received £589,000 in taxpayers' money made up of a £200,000 capital grant, a £200,000 neighbourhood renewal grant and a £189,000 EU building grant.
The trio allegedly expressed hatred of the West and support of Palestinian suicide bombers - and our source claims the videos were used for recruitment at anti-war demos with the fivers supposedly going to a Palestinian children's charity.
Bomber Siddique Khan was a regular companion of Fiaz for several years and the pair even visited our insider's home.
Keys to the "terror base" at 18 Alexandra Grove in Burley, Leeds, were regularly used by "brothers in arms" who came to the store and needed somewhere to stay.
The insider, who asked not to be named for fear of reprisals, also says McDaid asked for high-security encryption for their computer systems so it would be hard even for Government agencies to access e-mails...

The media inquisition is relentless and whenever Muslim spokemen come on the radio or TV and say the bombings had nothing to do with Islam, but we must understand their frustrations over Iraq, they cut their own throats and make clear just what double speaking hypocrites and apologists for fascists they are.

I have to admit my own efforts on online discussion forums to illuminate my left leaning friends across the pond have been greatly aided by the tragedy. I have been asked, and volunteered links to translated korans online, www.answeringislam.org and many other sites, I've also recommended some taquiya on the part of the posters (going to askimam.com and posing as muslims asking questions of "mainstream" religious authorities). For at least the last year and a half I've been regarded as a xenophobic bigot, hatemonger, and worse by these people who are now asking sincere questions and truly opening their eyes to what has been apparent to so many of us for so long. I ask mainly that posters remember that you do yourselves and Robert and Hugh and the of JW folks here a huge disservice with many of the posts I see , not necessarily in this thread, but in many cases, I have to warn people away from the discussion about each story or risk losing the good the site has done in educating them.

I've visited askimam.com several times. Some of those folks' responses are, well, incredible.
So, I've wondered if their responses are legitimate and mainstream, and if they are respected and carry any weight within the Muslim community.
What's your take on that site's credebility?
I, too, agree that some of the flaming on JW/DW don't serve our common good.
The questions (and answers) I saw didn't exactly give a good impression of the average muslim user of the site; one in particular I saw was a guy who said "I'll divorce you" to his wife relatively frequently, and wanted advice on how to go about making sure that he didn't say it 3 times in a row to give her her freedom from him, the advice seemed completely in accordance with sharia, and I just had to shake my head at the brainwashed sheep that would need that kind of answer, yes, I've seen worse in Dear Abbey, but not much.
On any random day there are just as many stupid questions, as well as foaming at the mouth replies whenever Israel is mentioned.
