Also from AP: Senior Israeli official says Scotland Yard told Israel minutes before explosions it had received warnings of possible terror attacks.

I am worried that I might have lost some friends, contacts and ex-colleagues, I used to go into Liverpool St and that area is near where I worked, I was in the area two months ago on business.
I tried to call a few of my friends but no joy. I will wait as more important calls need to be made and I get the impression that the networks are over-stretched.
I have expected this for some time, but it is still a shock when it happens, I have that same numb feeling I had for 9/11 and Madrid.

CAIRO, Egypt -- A group calling itself "The Secret Organization of Al Qaeda in Europe" has posted a claim of responsibility for the series of blasts in London, saying they were in retaliation for Britain's involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The statement was published on a Web site popular with Islamic militants, according to Der Spiegel magazine in Berlin, which republished the text on its own Web site.
"Rejoice, Islamic nation. Rejoice, Arab world. The time has come for vengeance against the Zionist crusader government of Britain in response to the massacres Britain committed in Iraq and Afghanistan," said the statement, which was translated by The Associated Press in Cairo.
The authenticity of the message could not be immediately confirmed.
"The heroic mujahedeen carried out a blessed attack in London, and now Britain is burning with fear and terror, from north to south, east to west," the statement said.
"We warned the British government repeated. We have carried out our promise and carried out a military attack in Britain after great efforts by the heroic mujahedeen over a long period to ensure its success."
"We continue to warn the governments of Denmark and Italy and all crusader governments that they will receive the same punishment if they do not withdraw their troops from Iraq and Afghanistan," the statement went on.
It was signed: "The Secret Organization of Al Qaeda in Europe."

This shows your level of sensitivity towards others. When a disaster has occurred all you can do is to add insult to injury and try and disrupt people who are feeling distressed.
Your behaviour reminds me of when that Coptic family were murdered in New Jersey, Muslims turned up at the funeral to lob insults.
It reminds me of when there was a gathering to mark the 60th anniversary of the last V2 to fall on London in which many Jewish people died, a group of Muslims turned up to throw vegetables at those gathered to mark the death of their loved ones.
It reminds me of when a man was on trial at the Old Bailey for inciting murder against Jews and Hindus dozens of young Muslims turned up to show their support for him both inside and out, and when the verdict was read out they rose up and yelled 'Allah Akbar'.
It reminds me of when a group of youths were on trial in Paris for gang rape, the parents of the accused ranted on about the sentences being too harsh, again no concern for the victims.
The way you repeat things thousands of times reminds me of the way that Muslims are indoctrinated from birth, not by reason, not by elevation but through constant and mindless repetition of nonsense.
If you have any sense of humanity, if your faith has not completely stripped you of any feelings of benevolence or concern for others, if your faith has not rendered you incapable of intelligent, rational thinking and the ability to mature to adulthood, desist in this childish behaviour.

New Zealand Catholics are calling on television channel C4 to pull its Popetown cartoon from New Zealand TV screens, saying it is offensive, and portrays bestiality, money-grabbing and inappropriate sexuality in the Catholic Church.
After the first show, the Catholic Church decried it as ridiculous and puerile.
"There were shades of bestiality, or insinuations of it," Catholic Communication director Lyndsay Freer said. "There were some sexual insinuations in the comments of the little `Pope' in the programme, who is depicted as a cretinous little idiot, and also of hypocrisy on the part of the church in terms of money-making."
Freer said there was an "insidious nastiness in the programme" and to depict the Pope as cretinous was highly offensive.

It is time.
Over the next hours, days and weeks, there will be much said about this incident, fingers will be pointed and, by some, blame will attempt to be levied against every source, except the one responsible. Al-Qaeda and its sociopathic and psychotic associates are undoubtedly involved and they have just upped-the-ante in this horrendous game of international mayhem. It is time, now, not for retribution, but for cool headed, well calculated surgical removal of each and every known location of Al-Qaeda and friends.
Without mercy for those who know not mercy.
