US reveals Iraq nuclear operation
The US has revealed that it removed more than 1.7 metric tons of radioactive material from Iraq in a secret operation last month.
"This operation was a major achievement," said US Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham in a statement.
He said it would keep "potentially dangerous nuclear materials out of the hands of terrorists".
Along with 1.77 tons of enriched uranium, about 1,000 "highly radioactive sources" were also removed.

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. -- Experts from the Energy Department's nuclear weapons and research complex in Tennessee played a ''key role'' in removing radioactive material from Iraq that could be used in a dirty bomb, U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp said.
Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham announced in Washington on Tuesday that DOE and the Defense Department removed 1.77 metric tons of low-enriched uranium and about 1,000 highly radioactive sources from a former nuclear research facility in Iraq.
The material was flown to the United States on June 23.
The uranium will be stored temporarily at a ''secure DOE facility'' and the radioactive sources were taken to a ''DOE laboratory'' for further examination, DOE said.

Then there is something wrong with the laws at present. They need to be changed to meet the current situation: war from within, with a classic fifth column, and the inappropriateness of treating this as a matter of criminal justice, rather than of warfare. If citizens, they are traitors, like those who were Nazi agents in the United States and England during World War II. If the laws do not permit the authorities to arret them, to deport them, to put them on trial for treason or to find other means of removing the threat they pose, then there is something wrong with the laws. If they are not citizens, then it should be possible, where there are reasonable grounds, to simply eliminate them so they will not be a threat to anyone. The problem is that the battlefields are within our Infidel countries, and the intended targets are Infidels within those countries (and if some Muslims also die when a bomb explodes, that is too bad, but they were certainly not the intended target, and the fact of their deaths does not in the slightest exculpate Muslims or change the motivation for the attacks).

Those snipers should be very very careful. First, nothing should link Islam to terror, right? Second, they should all remember that civil liberties come first. Third, they need to remember that they're English and need to honor their proud tradition of touching their toes for every passing iman.

indeed the failure of our legal system to deal with such situations and the uproar from the left at the slighest action which mught be deemed a mild transgression of Human rights , has veritably tied our hands behind our backs.
Mass murder cannot be dealt with in the same way as shoplifting.
Out of desperation is it any wonder that western governments prefer their terrorist to be tried OUTSIDE their own jurisdiction ? Or indeed for interrogations to be also held abroad?

How many bold criminals have used entrapment to escape punishment? How else for example would agents infiltrate islamist groups bent on mayhem.
