U.S. demands Iran answers

Not that it matters much. From the Washington Times, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:

The Bush administration yesterday demanded that Iran answer questions about President-elect Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's role as a possible ringleader of the 1979 seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran.

"The Iranian government, with respect to this question, has an obligation to speak definitively," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said.

At issue are charges by several former American hostages who have identified Mr. Ahmadinejad as a leader of Iranians who held 52 U.S. diplomats and military personnel captive for 444 days.

President Bush, in an interview with several news agencies yesterday, said he was unable to confirm or refute charges by the former hostages against Mr. Ahmadinejad.

"But, obviously, his involvement raises many questions, and knowing how active people are at finding answers to questions, I'm confident they'll be found," Mr. Bush said.

Iran denied that Mr. Ahmadinejad, who was elected president a week ago, was involved in the embassy seizure...

So what? Let him repudiate it. Let him apologize for it. Let him show that he would not have been there if he could have been.

If the new fake president of Iran WAS a 1979 embassary-storming hostage taker, or one of the vicious interrogators, would that be a sufficient excuse for a first strike against the Iranian nuclear weapons program?

Otherwise, what does it matter?

We know the ayatollahs and their minions are a batch of megalomaniacal, murderous, cruel, extremist, lying, torturing, psychotic fanatics and teleological fatalists.

Isn't that enough?

If the Iranians try to pull anything, give Bush credit for having the forsight to occupy such a stategic location in the middle east.

How arrogant and stupid to think we have the right to demand anything of these people,
total disconnect from reality .
they do not care one iota what fit we have or whether it is tight or not,
they have their own plan we are not part off it.

Storming the US embassy, holding Americans hostage. Pretty impressive resume for an aspiring Islamic dictator. Admitting he's guilty certainly won't hurt him.

Democratic election my @ss this guy is just a stooge for the mullahs.
